I hope the POS rots in Hell.

Josh Powell and his two young sons -- whose wife and mother, respectively, went missing more than two years ago -- were killed early Sunday afternoon in an explosion at their home in Washington state, a sheriff's spokesman said.

Pierce County Sheriff's Department spokesman Ed Troyer said that a medical examiner has not definitively identified the bodies, but "we believe it is the three of them."

"This was all on him," Troyer said of Powell and the blast. "He set this up, he did it."

A foster-care case worker had brought Powell's two boys to the residence for a visit, said Troyer and Graham, Washington, Fire and Rescue Deputy Chief Gary Franz.

As the children got close to the door, Powell "dragged" them inside but prevented the case worker from getting in as well, according to Troyer.

I can't even image doing that my children. Why in the world didn't that stupid women call the police instead of her boss:confused3

It wouldn't have mattered *who* she called. The house exploded as she was standing there.

She bears no blame in this, whatsoever.

This was so terrible to hear- I feel so bad for Susan's parents, they lost her over 2 years ago and now to have lost their precious grandbabies all because of this POS is really too difficult to wrap my brain around.

I couldn't believe it when I read this story this afternoon. Why couldn't he just take himself out? Why the kids? And the poor case worker saw the whole thing. How sad.

I hope he rots.

Dante's Inferno doesn't have enough Circles of He** for this guy. Too bad he didn't take his father with him.

I don't think she deserves blame but when he wouldn't let the kids leave and kept them from going she should have called the police. ENd of story

I agree, that is the demented mental person he was. So sad that there was nothing they could get him into custody on.

I am a visitation'/exchange caseworker. PI and seasoned retired law enforcement, there was little anyone could have done. <My thoughts are why the visitations would take place in his home and not in a controlled environment. A center made to handle high risk visit,. After all the mother was persumed dead, and he really had no alibi...

The poor angels are with their mommy, and that dad can rot in hades.
Sickens me thinking about it and what that caseworker is going through.

I hope his father doesn't make another assinine comment blaming everyone but his son for the tragedies.

I will get flames for this Im sure, but why did this POS have any "rights"? And more like him. I get that he wasn't charged with anything but our system allows for people like this to enjoy their rights until, oops, something like this happens.

Obviously we can't string up people until they have had their day in court. I get that. But shouldn't their be safeguards in place so suff like this doesn't happen?

Just venting I know. But argh!!!!!!

Calling the police wouldn't have changed the ending. The house exploded in seconds.

According to the article the caseworker DID call 911 immediately. http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2017434073_powell06m.html
The caseworker, after being denied entry into the house, immediately began banging on the doors and windows and called 911.

The caseworker reported the fire started within seconds, Troyer said.

The first 911 call was at 12:13 p.m., followed by other calls.

She bears NO blame or responsibility for that monster's actions or the outcome of his actions. Firemen arrived 3 minutes after 911 was called. Everyone did what they could, but they never had a chance.

I wonder if he had the house soaked in alcohol or something?

Horrific. Their poor grandparents who have to live with this and can't get their babies back.

Am I the only one that remembers a similar story from years ago? I swear there was a story just like this or am I confusing it with a TV drama?
