JonBenet Ramsey - a question for those who follow this story

I don't get the big deal about the movie quotes at all. Was Patsy known for quoting movies all the time? Like my husband who drives me crazy.

The only thing I got from the movie quotes was that they sounded odd and stilted.

I've googled movie quotes Ramsey note and read some comparisons to the note.

We have explained on this thread many times that some of us wake up and toss on the same clothes. You have absolutely no idea what Patsy did every day in her own home. Yes, she was very put together when she was out in public. So am I! But if you saw how I looked right now, you wouldn't believe it because I am totally grubbed out.

Patsy said she applied fresh makeup.

If the killer was a person who knew the Ramsey's, they would likely know which staircase they used. Where could Patsy have left the ransom note that wouldn't have raised suspicion in your mind? On her counter? At the front door? She lives in the home. Why does the staircase seem more suspicious than leaving it in her bathroom or the kitchen?

John has a reputation as being a southern man. The fumbling police detective even noted him as being cordial.

If the argument is going to be made that people knew the Ramseys well enough to know for sure Patsy's clothing and makeup habits 24/7, that same argument would hold that those people would be familiar with the home and the family traffic patterns within the home.

To be fair, John's cordial demeanor was what helped tip the detective off that he was a potential murderer.

Were your search results anything with much credibility to them, or were they the type of things that get carried away on Reddit or things like that?

Here's another odd piece of supposed evidence. So the dna on the underwear was possibly from a factory worker. Nobody thinks it odd Patsy Ramsey wouldn't wash her childs underwear prior to giving them to her to wear. All these hypothetical situations presented all slant towards the ramseys. I find that highly suspicious. Patsy wearing the same clothes points to them covering up. DNA on underwear belonging to a stranger, family didn't wash underwear and the dna belongs to factory worker, family is covering up. The list of these things being skewed to make them look guilty are endless and IMO makes it less credible. To believe they did it we have to believe so many outlandish things took place that night. I can get past a few, but there are just way too many.
I have never pre washed newly bought clothing before wearing htem or giving them to my kids to wear. I didn't know anyone did until the DIS enlightened me

Oh how I wish I wasn't at work right now so I could pull up a floor plan of the house.

OK the ransom note is no longer a red herring to me now that I have read the note pad was kept in the kitchen. I still think it was an intruder but more and more I think it was someone linked to the family. Either a stalker from the beauty pageant world who had befriended JonBenet at the events but remained under the radar as suspicious to the parents or a coworker of the fathers or worker in his office. Either or would make sense that they would know about the family.

Since JB had been seen several times for discomfort I wouldn't be shocked if someone on the circuit was abusing her but being very very crafty about it. There are ways to abuse a child with leaving 0 evidence beyond the discomfort aside. I was abused when I was JBs age and when asked directly I always said no. Maybe this whole thing was being whoever was doing this to JB thought she was going to talk soon. The other little girl being molested in her bedroom in the same area of CO adds fuel to the fire. Can anyone link to that story? I couldn't find anything about it in my searchs and am at work so can't search to much with out throwing red flags up to HR haha.

None at all? I don't wash absolutely everything, but quite a bit I do, especially underwear.

Kids underwear often comes in closed, sealed packages. I couldn't say for sure if I always pre-washed it or not.

It left me with additional things to ponder. It's no news to anyone here, but that's one weird note.
That said, I would say the search was helpful.

Yep, even in the days when mine wore the packaged princess or Power Puff Girls, etc., always washed it because I never knew about the chemicals they put on the fabrics. Washable dresses and skirts, no. Blue jeans, yes, largely because of color bleeding concerns.

I've washed maybe two pair of very dark jeans, that the dye was bleeding off of before we got home, but that is it. Truly. Never ocurred to me to wash undies out of the pacakge- I'm not a germaphobe I guess. We haven't had random illnesses or been sick more than most people so I think it'S ok

Why do you think that one was so good? Did they seem to follow a specific theory, did they seem to try to recreate the events from what is known, did they run through a lot of the evidence and offer any differing theories?

It seemed to be fairly balanced, showing the police theories in the beginning, then came Lou Smit and his investigation and theory. In the end, they talked about new DNA testing and how Smit continued working on the case until he died. His family still has his work and his spreadsheet of suspects.

If this ever did go to trial I don't know if they could ever pick an impartial jury!

Empaneling a jury would be a very, very, long and tedious task. This case would require change of venue.

I find it so odd the State Police never took over the investigation from the local authorities in this case considering the controversies.

Germs aren't really what makes me do it, it's more about the chemical treatments applied to fabrics these days.

So it took more of an overview approach, not promoting one idea, just trying to follow evidence, or presumed evidence? That at least makes more sense to me.

I had a think about this again. I'm sure I would have washed jeans.
