idr where i read it but somewhere it said that while they were rehearing with stevie wonder at the awards show they sang at together they were like messing around and thats what they came up with, with stevie wonder.. so thats how they came up with it.. and then they ran into Common at an airport and thats how they colaberated(sp?) with him on it

umm poison ivy is definitely my favorite song on the new cd xD
