Was it said in an episode that they hired a laundry service?.....Or is this more "reliable" information that someone posted on a message board?
no. they've said on the show that there's laundry help. has been for years.

I don't remember any sort of conversation, so I must have been away. LOL.

And some of the trips are back to back - obviously, all the beach trips shows were filmed (and shown) back to back.

Other than that, I'm so frazzled, I have NO idea what my point was :lmao:

I've been gone since Wednesday ... and I feel like I've been gone a month. That consignment sale kicked my behind! On the upside, I've earned enough to go to WDW for Fall Break, I think :cool1:

:dance3: :woohoo: :yay: Gotta love those consignment sales!! Now, if I could just stop shopping at them, I'd be a thousandaire!!

You go to an amusement park: The Gosselins get to go behind the scenes to meet all the character.

You go to the train museum: The Gosselins get a special tour

You go to the zoo: The Gosselins get to go in the cage with the penguins.

Typical activities ... but, not so typical because of the TV show.

An interesting side note to the Gosselins. I worked the new moms sale last night at my local consignment sale. I was at the checkout, and overheard, more than once .. moms talking about Kate Gosselin & the show. They were all amazed at how big her belly got when she was pregnant, and how cute the kids are? Very few actually like the show. A couple never did, a couple loved it, and most were of the mindset that they started out liking it but now they don't. I didn't hear why they don't, anymore, though. I was too busy doing my job - and wishing like crazy I could have joined in the conversation. But, it was funny, I kept thinking of this thread because it was JUST like that! LOL

I know a lot of places that will do those special things for groups in general. For example, I had DS's 3rd birthday at the Museum of Natural History. They got a special tour, use of a private area for cake and ice cream, the kids' play/discovery room to themselves for an hour, ability to tour the museum after hours, etc.

Our zoo also has special group rates and group tours for parties of 10+.

As we've said, though, other celebrities would probably get the same treatment regardless of group number.

I did not spend much last night. I was surprised! And the other thing that surprises me is how much stuff has sold, but as of 3pm this afternoon how much GOOD stuff is left! It's amazing!

Oh, I don't doubt that - which is why I mentioned the TV show in my examples. Without the show, they'd have to pay for things, just right the rest of us ;)

I know that the neighbor lady comes in and folds the clothes and irons and helps like that. But they actually said on the show that they hired a professional laundry service?

Kate's always talked about the people that help her with folding and putting away the laundry, but I don't remember ever hearing about an actual service. I read something on another board about a truck that was spotted in front of their house from an actual laundry company.

I'm pretty certain she is the person who moved away awhile back.

oh, I don't know anything about professionals ... just the ironers and folder/put away people.

If you watched the last show, Kate was putting the laundry baskets in the living room full of clothes. I assumed that someone was folding them. Maybe that is part of Jenny's job as the "family helper".

Could be but when Kate interviewed "family helpers" she said the kids wanted someone to play with them while Kate made dinner, phone calls etc..

Pro-Kate--I feel her pain...one of my twin boys whines no stop from the time I pick him up from daycare until after I get dinner dishes done. It is basically 2 1/2 solid hours of whining. It is that time of day...he needs me and I need to get other stuff done.

Anti-Kate--I think she uses the phrase "family helper" because she thinks it sounds less snotty than nanny. Also, if someone spots Jenny doing other stuff...errands, laundry etc. then Kate can say that is part of "helping."

Makes me laugh--reminds me of the Nanny Diaries.

I was wondering on the Kate's Labor Day episode why we never saw Jenny, but they mentioned that the little kids stayed in the van with her when the twins and Jon and Kate went into the Ronald McDonald house.

Does anyone know what the thing is called that the big girls wrote the note to the little girls on about cleaning their room for them?
Thanks....

MagnaDoodle!! I had an old school one! DS has a Cars travel sized one (and about six others he doesn't pay attention to since he got that one!!)

thanks....duh, we have the floor mat one. i knew it looked familiar but couldn't for the life of me remember the name. thanks again!

I just hopped on the back of this thread, so this has probably already been answered...........

But this Jenny, is she Kate's friend? And does she do all she does for them out of the goodness of her heart or does she get paid?
