Since it has been said that the rumor is that they want to be near their production company, figure 8, damn I figured anyone would know it was the production company we were talking about.

Ha - sorry, sha lyn, I don't read this thread every day so when I heard North Carolina and then Figure Eight I figured (ha ha!) they were moving to the island for privacy.

OK, so where are the Gosselins rumored to be looking to move? Virginia? NC?

I'm certainly not riled up by our little exchange.

The rumor of moving to NC seems to come only from the GWoP forum, where someone has actually described an 8000 sq ft house.
I think it was just speculation on this thread that it made sense, since figure 8 films is located in NC.

They looked at a home and property in VA on their way to Outer Banks.
From watching that episode, I gathered it was all Jon's idea. I know he said he was the one that found the house and the land on line. Kate actually said that property was too far away from civilization (paraphrasing here... can't remember her exact wording), so I can't imagine her wanting to move to an isolated area as you have described Figure 8 island.

ETA: There very well could be rumors somewhere that they are moving to Figure 8 island, but figure 8 films is what has been referred to here.

She was talking about Figure 8 island; she was just confusing the film company with the place by the same name which she described perfectly. The film co. is in Carboro not Carrboo, and they are the Great Smoky Mountains you are counting down to. Geez louise.

I had to see that troll's post again. Then again it is good to know that someone else picked up on the grammar and punctuation errors. Just goes to show the old saying is true.... Those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

It only ignores the posts made by those on the ignore list so you would have to ignore everyone that quotes those on your ignore list and since those on your ignore list seem to annoy so many of those on this thread then those on your ignore list will be quoted by other posters so even though they are on your ignore list you will still have to see their posts quoted in other posters threads unless you just ignore the entire thread or every single poster to this thread.

Would you believe I had an insurance adjuster in SC tell me he had never heard the term riled up before. Man that was many yrs ago. He was trying to get me to settle for a lot less than blue book on my car. The accident was in GA, the driver that hit my car was from SC. I spoke to the bank about the loan payoff and they advised me that by GA law (at the time) that they had to give me a certain amount which was actually a little over the BB value (fair replacement value I think they called it). I was advised to call several dealers and get estimates from them to give to the adjuster.

Well anyway I called him and told him the value of the car. He insisted that he didn't have to give me a replacement value, just the wholesale value. I told him it was Ga law, he said he didn't have to go by Ga law. I pointed out that the accident happened in GA (which he had the report so of course he knew that). He spit and sputtered etc. I told him that is what he gets for getting a GA girl riled up. He said he had no idea what I meant.

Yum, lemonade. We had some from Chick-Fil-A today. It's one of the few tastes of the South I can get while living up here in Yankee Maryland (not that there is anything wrong with MD - we like it up here but it is a Yankee state even though we are still technically 30 miles South of the Mason-Dixon line!).

HA! No way I have a sister and family in Aiken, SC. I have personally heard them say "riled up" many a time.

Wonder if the Gosselin's flew straight through to Hawaii or if they stopped in California at Disneyland? That is a LONG plane ride from PA.

Heck...I live 3 hours away from the place and go about three times a year and if I write it on something I always forget if it is e or no e!

OT--I hate spelling nazis. I have two college degrees and read a great deal. My husband--no college degree, drives for FedEX...very rarely writes an extended amount...he spells far better than I do. I think it goes back to elementary school. He had the older, traditional teachers--lots copy work...spelling booke etc. I had the young teachers in the 1970s/1980s movement of getting rid of spelling "lessons" and incorporating into the other unit. I remember being in high school before I had even heard of some of the basic spelling rules.
