She didn't really fear being out of commission when she had that tummy tuck a while back! :)

Yes!! Brilliant point, and exactly what I was thinking.

I have to agree- I'm a Kate fan, but last night's episode almost put me over the edge. I wonder if Kate got upset with Mady calling her a "Queen Bee" to the cameras.

Does anyone else think that Kate is constantly mentioning how there house doesn't "fit" that she is hoping someone will give them a bigger home??? :rolleyes1 Maybe it's just me, but she seems to be hinting. Don't get me wrong, I actually think it would be cool if TLC built them a house, maybe a "green" one, and had the Trading Spaces designers decorate it. Could be a whole series!!

That sounds like a great plan.... I watched again last night and the babies are getting soooo big....

I live probably ten minutes from where they live. Not sure of exact location because I am not gonna drive around. :lmao:

I remember my daughter said the mother came to where she worked once. Not sure if it was Jon or Kate's mother. But she was so very nice and my daughter loved helping her pick out what she needed.

In Lancaster city, the kids wear uniforms in the elementary schools, not sure what the kids wear where they live. My kids are all grown and I don't have that to deal with the grandsons yet.

I do like the show, and my youngest son was really enjoying all the places they were showing last week cause he has been to all of them when he was young and he said they have not changed at all!!!!

i don't see trading spaces thing happening-kate would have to go do work at someone else's house, but then again maybe one of the 'nanas' would volunteer in her place:rolleyes: :rotfl: i also don't perceive them as too much of what i would consider a 'green' family. i mean she's into the organics as far as the food stuffs go but i don't think i've seen an episode where the kids have eaten off anything but paper plates, and they seem to use allot of stuff in large plastic bottles that are definatly not of the 'green' ideology (like juice-most of the 'greenies' i know would be aghast to use anything other than a concentrate they can mix up in a reusable container-but then given that it seems every time you see a scene they're using a product that is then followed up with a commercial by that company-maybe no concentrated organic juice company has made it worth it to them to go that way).

Is there any way that the OP could edit the title so that it is Jon and Kate PLUS 8, intead of Jon & Kate make 8....we're cheating them out of 2 kids!

I've been wanting to ask this for a long time but didn't want to be petty! :lmao:

My DD likes to read this thread (it's her favorite show) and that was one of the first things I pointed out to her.

I was surprised when I heard Jon say on Monday's show that the girls go through a large bottle of conditioner every week. It takes me a month. But if you do the math 5 conditions a day times 7 days...that is a month of conditions for me. Did you see the baskets of products in the linen closet? Having a small famly, I never really thought about all the stuff that they must use in a week. God bless them for getting by however they can. If product placement would provide juice for my family for a month or a year, I would do it too!

I did, and I also noticed that most of it Johnson's...I think they have been doing some "product placement" of the Johnson's and Johnson's. Has anyone else noticed that? And how much conditioner is he using on the girls heads?? Goodness!

Regarding the size of the house-they have a room large enough for all 10 of them to play duck duck goose in. We don't have enough floor space in our house for 4 people to play duck duck goose in.

Hey, maybe that could be a new way to describe the size of your house/rooms-instead of by square feet-"How many people could play duck duck goose in your great room?"

I always think that their house isn't THAT small. I mean, my grandparents raised my dad and his 4 brothers and sisters in a much smaller house than the Gosselins have. They have the "little" playroom, the entire basement and 3 bedrooms for the kids to play in, plus they use the garage and driveway all the time too. It looks like they have 2 or 3 bathrooms as well. I just kinda :confused3 when she talks about the house being too small. I think Kate j ust wants a new house. :)

You are probably right ;) Or maybe she is just someone who is never going to be happy   Where I grew up, there were families with 12 kids, no lie, that were in houses A LOT smaller than theirs!

We have the same style house they have (cape cod) and there's has to be double the size of ours, and we have two additions and a basement!

I think the house is just right for them now, but I can see needing more space as the kids get bigger. Can you imagine six 10 year olds and two 14 year olds in a house that size?

I don't blame Kate for wanting a bigger house.
The kids bedrooms don't look to be very big IMHO when you consider that the twins share a room, the 3 girls and 3 boys each share a room.
The "little" playroom hasn't been a playroom for awhile. The twins didn't have room in their bedroom for desks, so the little playroom is now their home-work room.
A good portion of the basement playroom is set aside for for "interview room" for the show.

It appears that the basement is the playroom and interview room only. If it is a full basement, the footprint of their house isn't very big
Ground floor is master bedroom, livingroom, kitchen/dining area (I don't believe they have a formal dining area room do they?) and laundry. Oh and the "little playroom". I don't recall if it seems to closed off like a bedroom would be, or if it is more open, like it might be diningroom. If it is meant to be a bedroom, my guess it that thei would have to be a full and in additon to or in place of a 1/2 bath on the ground floor.
Up stairs is the 2 bedrooms and now the twins room in the area over the garrage.
I don't know how many bathrooms, but my guess is one 1/2 bath on the main( and/or a full), master bath and one bathroom up stairs considering the house was built with only 2 bedrooms upstairs.

I am pretty sure it was posted on this thread (or maybe the locked one from before) that they have indeed built a new house and have already moved into it.

And they clearly need more space, IMO. They don't even have enough casual seating in one room for their entire family.

In my opinion their house is not too small. My DH is the 2nd oldest of 12 children and he grew up in a 4 bedroom house with an open concept kitchen/living room/dining area. It is 2 bath and has an un-finished basement but it is not a fullsize basement only a 1/2 size. My in-laws still have 7 kids living at home ranging in age from 9-23 and it is not crowded.

I don't think they necessarily need a bigger house...just one that is laid out better, with a more open floor plan.

i definitely think that they have product placement as far as juicy juice.. they always zoom in on the bottle for like 5 seconds when they drink it. but that's ok with me.. its good for you and they get money for it, so why not? :)

i also think that their house is plenty big already. but i can see where kate would like a more open floor plan.. maybe even a rambler style because jon had complained about going up and down the stairs a hundred times every night to get the kids in bed..

I agree with this totally - a home that has more open space as opposed to so many rooms. A kitchen that is open to the dining room and living room would be perfect for them. Kate seems to be in the kitchen 99% of the time, but she can't do that and keep an eye on the kids with the set up now.

I agree with the product placement, too, and that is totally genius on the part of the companies! On another board, someone who works at Dutch Wonderland said they gave the family tickets and lunch on the day they were there - the family had a "free" day at the park, it made a great episode, and the park got a 30 minute commercial that will probably run for years to come! :goodvibes

I can't see how they have a new house and are in it already. There was a show shot in March in their present house????
