I plan on watching tomorrow ... as soon as I get my items tagged for the sale ;)

I was hoping to have 100 good quality items (my DD is rough on clothes  ) for this sale. So far, I'm out of hangers and safety pins and lost count at 140 things. LOLOL

I agree, tonight's episode was so great. It showed Jon & Kate in a more positive light. Maybe they have been reading some blogs and web sites and what people are saying, and maybe just trying to change and grow in a positive way. I thought it was very thoughtful for Kate to donate to the Ronald McDonald house, where they stayed while they were bringing the babies home. I think she will start "giving back" and is more thankful for how much they have been given. She just seemed so much more relaxed than usual.

In the previous episode that played before this new one, I was reminded of the saying that they mentioned and I've never heard of it and I'd like to know what it means "Pull the stick out."??????
Is it an old timey saying? Or maybe a northern thing?

I also agree with a PP, you can not say a bad thing about this episode!!

Loved the new episode.

A couple of little things. I won't go back and quote

The PP from the large family. You mentioned things your family never had that the Gosselins have. In that you mentioned separate bedrooms. I just wanted tp point out that the gosselin children share bedrooms.
The twins have one room, the 3 boys another and the 3 girls another. Although one girl does sleep in the playroom because she wakes the other 2.

I wonder how long it is going to take the "anti-Kate" crowd to jump on her giving the check to the Ronald McDonald house. They've been raked over the coals in blogs and boards for not "giving back". I bet now people will be jumping saying she just did it to look good. She just can not win. What ever she does, "they" will find fault with.

As for the snarkiness about the kids drinking Juicy Juice.
I've said it before on this thread and I'll say it again. Kate seems to be more about avoiding artificial ingredients, over processed foods etc.

ITA about the cupcake "thing".

I'm sure the Kate bashers will have something to say!!! I have to watch it again when no one is here...my family kept blabbing and blabbing so I was missing things!! :headache:

I tivo the show and didn't notice a new episode this week? What was it titled, I hope I didn't delete it! What was it about?

There was a "marathon" of previous episodes and the new episode tonight was called "Kate's Labor Day". The family visited the hospital where the sextuplets were born, the kids saw the NICU, the talked to the doctors and nurses who helped them. :)

Now I normally NEVER go on to that hate site, but it was crazy. I looked at the times on the posts. 15 minutes into the show people were commenting on every single thing. Taking notes as the show went on. Then they fist thing the did was photograph the note Mady put on the door and 20 people already commented on it. The people there are truly sick. My heart melted when Aaden said while holding Kate's hand "mommy your pretty". They even bashed Kate even though she said "thank you Aaden, I don't feel pretty. This week truly touched my heart. It was my favorite so far. It just goes to show you what great lengths some will go to to hurt this family for no reason. And how many jump on the bandwagon. :surfweb:

Wow - I just went to the website and read all the stuff Jodi's sister wrote and watched the video of Jodi demurely saying "it's all true."

Sorry, IMO that's waaay worse than the tantrum Kate threw about the gum. Despite her tantrum about the gum, in the past Kate has always spoken lovingly about Jodi. Even during her tantrum she referred to loving her. In fact, now I get that she was mad at Jodi and understand why she threw the tantrum. It wasn't about the gum. They were having a disagreement about how to balance real life with payroll for the show.

If it were me, I could forgive the gum incident - but I don't think I could ever forgive all the stuff that was said or implied on that site. While I can't imagine ever doing a reality tv show, I can imagine even less going public with my feelings and opinions about family members on line - even if I was trying to be truthful. I don't get how that helps the children, which is why she claims she stayed involved in their lives despite the apparent evil of Jon and Kate.

I feel sorry for Jodi's husband. He has probably lost a sister. Jodi's sister can continue to gloat that she stood up for her sister and how important family is, but ignore that fact.

I think the sister turned Jodi into the very thing she kept claiming she was standing up against her being portrayed as - a pushover. It's just a different bully in a very public forum - using real names.

A family issue (and a financial issue with the show) that could probably have been worked through is probably impossible to fix now.

'pull the stick out' is pretty universal. it's a reference when you want someone to 'chill out', relax or just stop behaving in an uptight or overly rigid manner. it's related to the expression that someone has a 'stick up their a:eek:  '-which generaly means that they are being overly rigid, stern or strict.

is this a challenge for me to find something? I do love me a challenge, LOLOL... I'm lugging everything for the sale up here in a few minutes and will watch JK8 after the opening segment of Regis & Kelly.

I'll report back.

Oh! I also have the cupcake episode taped, and will probably watch that one as well. I haven't seen it since the first time it aired.

I love the show although sometimes I roll my eyes at Kate.

My big question and the thing that bothers me most is...does Alexis sleep downstairs ALL the time? I am just always afraid of her being down there alone. If there was an emergency, they would need both parents to get the kids upstairs and I would worry about Alexis.

Get your tomatoes ready ...

The newer episodes prove that they are in full blown damage control mode. J&K are suddenly much calmer, they are letting the kids get messy, the kids aren't shown using the bathroom, they are making donations, they mention the grandparents. It seems fake. Somone is reading what their critics have to say and each thing is being addressed. It's good, but I wonder how sincere it is. In my heart I hope that maybe their eyes have been opened and they are making a true effort to change. I hope this is sincere.

That said, there were many touching moments in this most recent episode. You can clearly see that the stress of everything is getting to Kate. Her crying while remembering a more simple time shows me that she is feeling the stress of life in a fishbowl. I felt bad for her, you can see it on her face. I hate to see anyone sad :sad1: They have gained a lot but I think they have lost a lot, too. Maybe too much.

I truly hope they soon realize that this isn't worth it and pull the cameras out of their home. I hope they can mend fences and put their extended family back together, outside of the prying eyes of the public. I sincerely wish them the best.

The little kids are 4 now...no reason they would show them in the bathroom. I'm sure that is just natural progression and it has nothing to do with damage control.

I'm sorry, I don't see the donations and the mentioning the Grandparents "fake". I think that is grasping at straws on finding something negative. They gave to the Ronald McDonald house because they now have the means.

For all the people that say that their phone never rings, did you notice when they were walking into the condo Kate was on her cell phone and said, "I will have to call you back later" she could have been talking to a producer but she could have been talking to a friend who knows.

Maybe she is letting the kids get messier because she is chilling out on her germaphobia? I have a friend that was a mess with her first baby, she would flip if my kids got near the baby and was a neurotic mess, but when baby number 2 and 3 came along she was MUCH calmer. Maybe Kate is just mellowing out and realizing germs aren't that big a deal?

I know the bashers will have a field day over the sign on Maddy's door, but I thought that was nice to show that if she doesn't want to be on camera she has a place to go.

I thought the show was awesome and you could tell how much they love their children and how fortunate they feel since the 6 are are all healthy and happy.

I don't understand the flap about the sign on Maddy's door. I know as a kid, I sometimes wanted a place that was quiet and away from my siblings and parents.

And the only camera we had in OUR house was the one that was somewhat permanently welded to my stepfather's hand.

I thought it was so funny when someone touched Alexis hair and she said, "DON'T TOUCH MY PONY!!"

Also in the condo when Kate told Aaden "last time you were here you were this little" and he did some crazy dance and walked away. :rotfl:

That was a very touching episode. You could really see how blessed they feel to have been given so much and most of all healthy babies. It was wonderful that Jon and Kate can now afford to donate to something that helped them so much.

It was too precious the way Aaden told Kate that she was pretty!!

Next week's episode looks interesting....camping in the backyard. popcorn::
