I don't doubt that she encountered difficulties with her PCP for her kids

I don't either .. although I'm a little surprised by it. I would hope (and have no way of knowing, since 1. I don't have that many children and 2. I don't think I will, at this point in my life. LOL) that the doctor's office would be as accomodating as they could be, given the circumstances. I know that the office can't and shouldn't drop everything for the Gosselin children, but I'd hope they (J/K and the ped. office) could work out a compromise.

I didn't see that anywhere. How can they pay her to keep him unemployed? How could she have that control? They (TLC) are keeping him from doing anything in the entertainment area because of his contract). Anyone else have that link that shows the TLC contract and them paying Kate to do this (although how she would have that power, I have no idea)?

It's in the court papers that were published. TLC is paying Kate to help keep Jon unemployed. Why? Who knows. It's there in black and white, but I'm too lazy to find the link; it's a few pages back.

Are you saying that Jon is accusing her of this in his lawsuit, or it's in the TLC contract?

Wow it is impressive to me the fact that there are so many people who will go to such great lengths to defend this woman.

Maybe because the bashing of her sometimes, is just so over the top, IMO. If any other person had done some of the same things Kate is bashed for (right down to the expressions on her face on DWTS) nothing would be thought twice of it. I think it takes a lot of energy to hate someone as much as some people seem to hate Kate..energy I waste on very few people, if any (a child murderer would get that energy for sure, for example).
The good thing for Kate, however, is those that really really dislike her, are posting all over and keeping her alive as far as the rag mags, and TLC are concerned. Any kind of publicity is good for them. I doubt it's the people who defend her that are buying the trash magazines. Put her on the cover, and sales go way up.

Regardless if she took the kids to doctors, or didn't, and all that blah, blah blah--here is the issue--- Kate has chosen to live this life. SHE invited the camera's into her home, SHE wrote the books, SHE did the tv interviews. SHE played the game of trying to get to the media before her ex-husband did. Kate is a manipulator, she wants to have her cake AND eat it to. Once you put youself out there, once you grant that interview, once you write the text to a book, once you do that reality show, what you say, what you do becomes a tangible. And at that point it can be open to whatever comments or viewpoints anyone in the gosh darn world wants say about them. That is why true celebrities go to such trouble to guard their private lives, and actually say very little about their personal lives. And this is what makes Kate just a attention seeking, media manipulating small time player in the game. She is too self absorbed to even realize she is being used by all the people in her camp that most likely swear they have her back. And if Kate is making any sort of $$ with these endeavors, then these handlers are making triple from it. She truly is an idiot.

Bash or not bash, makes no difference to me.. The only thing that bothers me about this and other situations is the victim mentality.. Im tired of hearing people play the poor me or victim card over situations that they themselves got themselves into intentionally.

Having that many children was an option she knew about and accepted. Please, I don't want to hear "poor me". If you weren't willing to deal with the repercussions of having that many children, you shouldn't have put yourself in the position to have them..

To clarify, my surprise with people's defense of Kate is that it appears to come with a blind eye to all the very questionable things she has done in the glare of the public, by her own choice and with very little/if any remorse on her part for those choices.

I was familiar with her show in the beginning and even a fan of the earlier ones until it got to the point of embarrassment for her and what she was doing and saying. She is currently on one of my favorite shows so until she is voted off I am stuck with her. Other than DWTS I don't contribute to ratings, book or magazine sales that further perpetuate her being in the spotlight she so desperately seeks.

It's not a blind eye. She has made bad choices. And if they go back on TV, that will be another one. But some of the bashing, IMO, is just silly. It's hard to take the serious stuff serious, when all the 'junk' like her facial expressions is thrown in there. I was not happy that she was too stupid to know they were using her, when (and I have no doubt she was encouraged to talk about it, knowing she just doesn't get bounderies) they showed her talking about the custody case. I may have actually said aloud, no Kate, don't..but too late, there it was. That was just wrong. She should have just said, I have a lot on my mind (although she still would have been bashed, at least the kids wouldn't see her talking about their dad). Those comments, I feel are justified. It's when all the little stuff that just isn't important (like if she had a **** lift, or teeth whitened..to me that sort of stuff doesn't matter..it didn't when others had them, it shouldn't if she does) has such a big deal made over it. It then becomes part of the important stuff, and people come across as bashing. I never liked group bashing. Didn't like it when teens did it in school, don't like it in adults.

I saw the briefing of the DWTS, Melissa Rycroft was commentating while they showed the dancers. I think it was the weather man, that made a comment about Kate. He thought she would or should be off by now. Melissa said, "Oh no, Kate has a huge following, and she gets a ton of votes. The weather man was like, "really?"
I turned off my tv, and went to work, so I didn't see anything more.

Good statement. This is why tv loves reality shows. The wages of Reality Stars are so much less than what regular actors and actresses get paid. If Kate gets $200,000 for being on DWTS, you know how much that show is making off of her? They are probably earning $200,000 million a show. Plus the show is on 3 hours a week. DWTS is keeping her on and laughing all the way to the bank.

Some people say it's pretty accurate for the phone call part. Other's say you can't go by it because it's just the call in's, and people also voted on line. So you can pick LOL. I think it has been pretty accurate so far. So I'd be surprised if Kate is still here next week. I do wonder why they didn't put hers in red, as in predicted to be voted off.

This is the first season I haven't really watched the show from beginning to end. I guess I'm not interested in the line up this year. I just DVR it and watch the dances. The fluff pieces have because so stupid, especially Kate.

I'm so tired of hearing her "poor me" segments. The saddest part is she doesn't realize that she is feeding into the very thing she is complaining about.

Wow it is impressive to me the fact that there are so many people who will go to such great lengths to defend this woman.

The point of my post is that she shocked me with her indifference that when one is sick they all would get sick and we are talking about 2 of her kids being diagnosed with pneumonia! It was there for all to read that she only decided to bring one to the doctor after nearly a week of coughing and she's a nurse! I would think it would be better to nip it in the bud before it gets that bad but that's just me.

Too bad you don't keep up with my posts. I go both ways on Kate.

I find it absolutely impressive that people are so hell bent to follow her and post their latest annoyance with her.

But when folks start picking the silliest things to pick on just for the sake of picking on it, one has to wonder what makes us so perfect that we have time to bash everything she does as a mom.

Oh, I think the sad thing is that she does realize she is feeding in to it and does it anyway. She has nothing else to offer, but her "drama" she knows she has to have some product to sell in order to get in the media spotlight, and this domestic misery stuff is all she has. She does love to complain about it and act like the victim though doesn't she?

Did anyone else think she looked like she had gained alot of weight and looked really "thick" in the middle? Her skin looks bad - unless she is positive she is on camera, she has that scowl on her face that makes her look very unattractive. Even when she puts a big smile on for the camera like she did in the opening yesterday as the camera panned, and she mouthed "I love you" to the camera, that smile is GONE as soon as she thinks the camera is gone by.....If you keep your eye on her in the background all the time you will see this.
