Hmmmm...what to say what to say on Kate's dance...
I agree with Carrie Ann--that was awkward.
I also agree with Bruno--all be it, she was bad at it, her face was certainly conveying emotion and a character.
But my pre-season concerns about her lack of grace that is needed pretty much in most forms of dance (Even hop hop)--is her downfall.
I think Tony put in some really cool moves for her. That was interesting and kidn of neat.
But as all the judges said--she walked.
I know it is the Pase Doble--and it does have those moments where you would "strut"--but she just ddn't do that.
I hate to say it--but her stature almost seemed manly to me. She really needs to loosen up and it would help her flow better.
It may sound far fetched--but I wonder what would happen if she got a full massage prior to air time, if that would help. If she could get lucy goosey, then her muscles wouldn't be so restrictive.
I swear that sometime during her show--that a comment was made about her lack of coordination and dance ability. It will be proof of an honest statement made on air.
The hair was horrible, the outfit....I've seen stranger Pase Doble costumes that looked a million times better.
I can't say that I liked the Papparazzi theme. I really think they should have gone a different direction.
But I firmly believe that she and Tony had very little say in the choice of song, costume, plot, or dance.
Her not being able to dance isn't a big deal--but the show is a dance contest, so her inability to dance is a MAJOR obstacle.
I'd almost like to see her stay one more week to see if they can take these notes and do something for her.
Wasn't Kelly Osbourne struggling much in the beginning last season, but expereince tremendous evolution in how she danced? Not sure if it was worthy to make it to the end, but I seem to recall that she struggled much.
She may be around for another week or two--but eventually the poor scores do catch up with you.
