Jon and Kate Plus 8, Official Thread--Part 7

I've been thinking drugs for a long time but now I think it is more. It is almost like a manic episode. It could be a combo of both.

Please, MAKmom. I know you think Kate is an angel and Jon's the incarnation of Satan. Blatantly obvious from ALL your posts. But please stop your "Jon is on drugs" nonsense. You've been spewing this crap in all versions of the J&K threads, but you have absolutely nothing to back this up. So why continue saying this time and time again? Because it fits your agenda? Because it helps you contiue your "Jon is Satan" storyline? When people tell you to stop, you simply continue. And when people dare to say they dont like Kate, you gang up with your Kate lovers to attack them. Just as you think "Kate haters" are annoying, "Kate lovers" are equally annoying.

And to that poster who claimed Kevin and Jodi have to be the sources speaking bad about Kate: Just ridiculous. Yeah, you just do not like them and therefore pin anything on them

Proof of this forum's bias: Any article that put Jon in a bad light is believed, and dissected to death. But anyone that puts Kate in a bad light (say the reports about her diva-ness at the ice skating show), the sources have to be wrong/jealous, and the entire thing is glossed over. KATE IS NEVER WRONG!

Here's another interview with Jon. Sorry if this has been posted already:

http://www.popeater.com/2009/10/09/jon-gosselin-kate-gosselin-tlc-the-view/

I found this part interesting:

Would you advise couples to not do a reality show, or do you not blame the shows in part?

I blame it on the network. I was basically in a storybook for four years and didn't realize it because I was busy raising babies. Now that I look back on it, I was a voyeur and I was very passive and let things happen, and now I'm taking initiative with things. All the interviews I'm doing now, you look back and it's like 'Who was this person?'

I really messed up in my communication with Kate. I don't know if the marriage could have been salvaged or not, but TLC had a major role in that. I said a lot and they edited it out. It's always good cop, bad cop. Good cop good cop never sells. First, Kate was bad cop and I was the good guy, then it switched in the tabloids and then on TV.

You have to think of timeline too. We took a month off in September and a lot happened that month. They show an episode of me and her sitting close on the couch, and then in the tabloids they have me running around with everyone in the world. I wasn't even running around with people, I was just hanging out with my friends' cousins and everyone else. So on TV, I'm having a great time with Kate, but then in the tabloids, they read 'Oh, he's cheating on Kate.' That's the hard thing about reality.

You're filming three days straight, and then it airs and it's 22 minutes of story. What you see was always conflict and there was never any resolve, so Kate looks like this mean person that never resolved anything. Same with me. It was all part of TLC's game and plan. I think this whole thing was played out in storybook form regardless of what TLC said. I think they had a master plan behind it. It's like those books in school where you can choose the ending. Exactly. They can edit it any way they want. They could do another five seasons with totally different storylines just based on the footage they have.

Wow he is feeling kind towards Kate today. At the rate he is going we are going to know the whole story soon.

Is this the same guy giving the interview? I really had no problems with most of what he said. :confused3 Pretty much the same tone, etc as the interview he gave about Kate doing the Leno skit. What gives?

I've said this before, but it's worth saying again. Even in this interview it's obvious that Jon is not cut out for this type of work -- he's not very good at covering the talking points (Kate is). For example, he has mentioned hosting/narrating a documentary on how reality TV works (which I can see him doing, and that IMO would be a good project) but in this interview he almost makes it sound like he'd be willing to do a reality TV show that only has 8 episodes.

And I agree with a MAKmom, we'll soon know everything if he keeps talking.

"applemy" your last post was mean so I think you need to apologize to MAKmom and then go to time out....we all agree that Jon is a "changed" man and not in a good way...if TLC had edited their personalities to fit a mold then the Grammy should go to TLC because they certainly made him look better than he was for many years....now you know that you agree with this....also, Jon has got to quit "blaming" everything and everybody for the predicament that he is in now....these are all his choices; therefore, he's responsible...end of story (and I know, he says that he made bad choices but then he always tries to link it back to TLC, Kate, or his alcoholic father)

:welcome: Epcot you found the new thread:rotfl:

That wasn't very nice...how do you know this isn't somebody who is actually posting for the first time on this thread?

Besides, this could be Jon finally showing up for some good advice. Applemy, I hope you've been lurking long enough to understand this statement.

So, from me:

Please don't speak for all of us. We don't all agree with you. I happened to agree with a lot of the points that Applemy made, but disagree with them that all of the posters on this thread are biased towards Kate. Some of us aren't impressed by either of them.

I absolutely believe that the bolded is correct. It's been pointed out on this thread many times that there are 3 parties involved here -- Jon, Kate, and TLC. Jon and Kate Gosselin were regular people before they got pregnant with the sextuplets .. regular people who thought it was a good idea to shop a video around and get their family on television. Hindsight being 20/20, they should have been careful what they wished for... and perhaps been satisfied with the blessings they received through the community and website prayer requests.

TLC created the monster that is Jon and Kate Plus 8. Marketing genius. We've always discussed the editing of the show on these threads .. what we see vs. what really happened.

Jon said in one of the recent interviews that Kate is fed lines and does whatever the network says .. they've built Kate's ego up so much that she's no longer the person she used to be before the show. We've ALL seen that. For heaven's sake, Kate believes (because someone has told her, IMO) that she's got the "gift of gab" and would be a great talk show host. She's a best selling author who believes (because someone has told her, IMO) that she can write. The reality is that she's a boring public speaker, and average (at best) writer. And Jon? Good LORD, what a mess he's become. :sad2:

Longtime viewers have watched both Kate and Jon become more and more materialistic, self-centered, and obsessed with the media... all in the name of their children. It's disgusting and someone with some sense needs to step in and put a stop to it. ALL of it. It's obvious that TLC doesn't really care about the well being of the family, it's main objective always has been and always will be the bottom line. Since TLC contributed to this mess, they should have helped Jon and Kate have a graceful exit, with some dignity. All TLC did, IMO, was perpetuate the image of a network with freak shows... shame on them.

Kate and Jon have done enough on their own to ruin their reputations, but TLC added a lot of fuel to that fire.

you don't think TLC edited Jon and Kate's personalities? At all?

how do you know how Jon was for many years? we only know what TLC let us see ... do you know something the rest of us don't?

Because genuine first time posters usually aren't so nasty and obvious about looking to pick a fight.

:::raises hand:::

I have never been a fan of Kate's. Jon's recent behavior hasn't changed that at all. In fact, if anything, it makes me even more irritated with BOTH of them.

Because genuine first time posters usually aren't so nasty and obvious about looking to pick a fight.

:rotfl2: Then you obviously didn't see some of my first posts. I lurked as a guest on Dis Forums for months before I joined -- it was the first time I'd ever read anything like these -- and for another 6 months before my first post. I didn't post on the J&K thread until after I was a Dis veteran, and it was probably a statement I just couldn't abide by that made me jump in (I think it was an argument about whether it was ok for Kate to talk to Jon the way she did on the show)

And first time posters tend to be more emotional in their responses -- need to learn how to tone it down -- it's not like having a conversation face-to-face with somebody where you have voice tone and body language. Email can be like that too.

Excellent post... ITA with all of this :thumbsup2

you don't think TLC edited Jon and Kate's personalities? At all?

how do you know how Jon was for many years? we only know what TLC let us see ... do you know something the rest of us don't?

ITA with this too. But I have to add that even Kate's depiction of Jon might have been very different just a year ago -- but since she didn't really start talking about him until she had filed for divorce we don't know. IMO, since they're going through a nasty divorce with children and a lot of money involved, we have to take everything they say about each other with a grain of salt.

I saw that a truck took all the filming equipment out of the house. Is it over or can TLC do the show off site?

I'm hoping the investigation into child labor had something to do with this as well. TLC has been quiet lately. And I know now that there may be a fate worse than the show for the kids, but I still consider it the first victory if the show is over.

According to what Jon and his lawyer said on LKL, Jon did have the right to tell them they couldn't film on his property -- perhaps they didn't get a release for the new house? I don't think he can stop them from filming the children entirely.

I'm ready to celebrate this small victory. IMO, the children feeling like they have privacy in their own home is probably the most important thing.:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Well they will not have privacy on their property as long as Jon keeps talking to Paps at the fence as well as signing autographs for his team.

Jon Gosselin's Lawyer -- S.O.L.
TMZ has learned Jon Gosselin's lawyer may be aced out of the Jon and Kate case because the person who vouched for him in Pennsylvania has withdrawn his support.

We've learned Pennsylvania lawyer Michael Marino sponsored Mark Heller -- Jon's lawyer -- to practice one time only in Pennsylvania court. Heller is licensed to practice in New York, though he had been suspended for 5 years for a variety of misdeeds.

Under Penn an out of state lawyer seeking to practice in a Pennsylvania court must obtain a sponsor who is licensed to practice in the state. Marino signed up as his sponsor, but yesterday, he wrote the court a letter in which he said, "My motion ... is hereby withdrawn."

It's interesting Marino sent the letter after revelations of Heller's legal misdeeds in NY.

Hmmm...after reading that post by MAKmom, and Heller's misdeeds, Jon may have been given all wrong advice.......:confused3 AND now I can see why Michael Lohan may have been involved with Jon's selection for a lawyer...:confused3

It surprises me that in all his interviews lately that no one has asked Jon what the kids said to him about not filming anymore or that Jon hasn't said what the kids said about it. I know what Kate said their reaction was, but I wonder if Jon talked them about it and explained why he stopped the filming. Even though it's a good thing, it's still another big change for them and I hope someone explained it to them so none of them think it's their fault or anything. You never know what kids are thinking, especially the younger ones, they might think they did something wrong or people don't like them anymore or something.

i think it is sad that jon has stopped the filming. Why did he allow "filming" of the twins in his car on their birthday IF he really thinks it is in the best interest of the children??? Not only has it turned the childrens world upside down, there are no "neutral" people around to buffer him anymore. He is only jealous of Kate, her success as a good mother (he's a poor example of a father) and a successful career woman. She has a promising future, and he is bumming around. Bitten by the green eyed monster.

I thought about that too, but I really don't think we will get an honest answer from either of them (J&K) on what exactly the kiddos thoughts were about all the filming stopping.....JMHO!
