Please, MAKmom. I know you think Kate is an angel and Jon's the incarnation of Satan. Blatantly obvious from ALL your posts. But please stop your "Jon is on drugs" nonsense. You've been spewing this crap in all versions of the J&K threads, but you have absolutely nothing to back this up. So why continue saying this time and time again? Because it fits your agenda? Because it helps you contiue your "Jon is Satan" storyline? When people tell you to stop, you simply continue. And when people dare to say they dont like Kate, you gang up with your Kate lovers to attack them. Just as you think "Kate haters" are annoying, "Kate lovers" are equally annoying.

And to that poster who claimed Kevin and Jodi have to be the sources speaking bad about Kate: Just ridiculous. Yeah, you just do not like them and therefore pin anything on them

Proof of this forum's bias: Any article that put Jon in a bad light is believed, and dissected to death. But anyone that puts Kate in a bad light (say the reports about her diva-ness at the ice skating show), the sources have to be wrong/jealous, and the entire thing is glossed over. KATE IS NEVER WRONG!

There are a lot of nice posters on here who have a wealth of information that they could probably write several books on.

I think J & K are both idiots. I feel sorry for the kids. I'm so glad Jon pulled the plug on the filming. These kids don't know what a normal life is like. Now if J & K could stop giving interviews and concentrate on their family life maybe they can salvage some family time. I just hope the kids have bank accts for their future college and counseling. They are going to need it!

I've seen the nanny apparently alone with all 8 kids. She's the one 'doing it all alone' on her shift anyway.

I'm in the airport and will be flying home soon..but no way can I read all of this even once I'm home. I need the snynopsis..who did what to who? Did Jon really stop the filming? Is Jon lying? Is Kate lying? Is the divorce final? Do they really have tons of money? Did Jon take more than he should have? Can Kate pay the bills? Have the kids started the book? What is going on LOL? Who's side (besides the kids) should I be on, Kate or Jon's? Is he still with Haley? Has any proof come out about her and Steve? Help, I need more short upgrades LOL.

Doris, you're back! I've missed you! Yes, there has been a WHOLE lot going on in Gosselin-land! Good luck trying to read all the pages you've missed in the last 2 weeks!! The thread has been moving quickly, much like it did when J&K made their divorce announcement. Anyhow, here's my 2 cents worth...

Jon got himself a new swanky, I mean skanky, lawyer Mark Heller. With this new lawyer, Jon has an epiphany...he needs to get his kids off tv NOW. With the divorce going on, he feels it's unhealthy and claims that the kids want normal lives. We also learned that last year J&K made 1 million bucks, about $25,000 per episode. Jon wants to communicate with Kate and work out this mess which is why he wants to put the brakes on the divorce.

Kate doesn't want to stop the show. She claims she regulary checks in with the kids to see if they want to continue. She further claims that Jon has never expressed (in the past) a desire for the kids to stop filming.

Jon had a sign posted on the gate of their home in PA that basically said TLC isn't allowed to film on the property. Apparently TLC never got the necessary permits to allow filming on J&K's property. Kate ripped the sign down days later.

Kate accused Jon of nearly wiping out their household bank account leaving her only $1000 to pay the bills. She claims he's taken $230,000 since August. Jon is disputing that claim and it's a giant royal mess. There's a hearing scheduled for this week with an arbitrator (or a judge?) because Kate filed papers against Jon for taking the money out of their account without her consent (a stipulation in J&K's arbitration agreeement). Kate went on a talk show (can't remember which) to say that she has a stack of bills to pay and Jon hasn't left her any money. Come to find out, Jon also pays a lot of the bills too including $7500 for the mortgage. We also learned tht TLC pays for many of their expenses like landscaping, wardrobe, catering and such.

Kate has recently just filed for custody of the kids and temporary spousal support from Jon.

There isn't any proof that she and Steve are having an affair.

Jon is still with Hailey, his soulmate, and apparently is adopting her Jewish beliefs. He claims she's his rock and can depend on her entirely. As far as Jon's schedule goes, Hailey is in charge of it.

Oh Doris, there's more, much more garbage and it's just disgusting. I think J&K have completely lost touch with what is best for their kids. They are both so blinded right now with spite for one another, that their lawyer fees will probably eat up all their $ from the show. It's very sad.

Yes Jon stopped TLC from filming. The divorce is on hold another 90 days. Jon is still with Haley & he is 1/2 Jewish now. Kate filed for temporary child support. They go to an arbitrator on Tuesday.

Joel has been giving an advance on his book which will be out as soon.

And here's a thought ... if TLC has pulled all their equipment out of the house and filming has stopped, it won't be long before all the associated perks (craft services, security, assistants, etc) could be stopped as well. My guess is the combination of low ratings and Jon's insistence that the filming stop will prompt TLC and the Gosselins to reach a severance agreement in the future.

I just checked the TLC schedule, and the next two episodes of Jon and Kate Plus 8 were filmed months ago -- the trip to Florida and when the children go back to school. That makes the most recently aired show filmed 6 weeks ago. I wonder why that is. May be for no reason at all... but, in the past, there's been a fairly quick turnaround of filming to show.

This whole interview gave me a good chuckle. I was looking to see if this was a comedy site and made up interview. Really, he is the 2nd most popular person after Michael Jackson and Kate is #5...wow poor Kate...she better work harder to move up in the standings...wake up Kate!

how do you know how Jon was for many years? we only know what TLC let us see ... do you know something the rest of us don't?

I thought it was obvious that everything was heavily edited. I think people also starting tuning in to see "bad Kate" and what kind of tantrum she would throw next. Even the previews for the shows had her tantrums in them...how manytimes did they show her tirade about the gum incident prior to the actual episode...so many that I think I could have memorized the lines.

It surprises me that in all his interviews lately that no one has asked Jon what the kids said to him about not filming anymore or that Jon hasn't said what the kids said about it. I know what Kate said their reaction was, but I wonder if Jon talked them about it and explained why he stopped the filming. Even though it's a good thing, it's still another big change for them and I hope someone explained it to them so none of them think it's their fault or anything. You never know what kids are thinking, especially the younger ones, they might think they did something wrong or people don't like them anymore or something.

I hope so too...that is one of the reasons I have said that they should slowly stop filming. This way it could be explained as it is just time for us to stop and our contract is up...when parents divorce a lot of kids think it is their fault, thatcthey did something wrong, I sure hope those kids aren't feelingcthiscway and thatcboth Mom and Dad are reassuring them.

I am jumping in late on this thread but I am really disturbed by the entire Gosselin ordeal. I used to really enjoy the show and I think the kids are just so adorable. I thought Kate was harsh with Jon but then again I realized that he was a weak person. SOmetimes with weak people you have to lead them. Thats not a support of her abusive behavior though!

Jon has long been a follower and someone who makes bad choices. He followed Kate's lead for years and now he is following his "lawyer" and girlfriends lead. He clearly does not think things through before he opens his mouth. I also believe he enjoys the attention and fame.

Kate is a very controlling women who seems to burn bridges wherever she goes. My friend was on a crew for a television show she was on and said she was a very stand offish type person. Not sure if this is her being mean or just her defenses?? I will say that Kate may be strong because she HAS to. Jon never had a successful career or job stability. This is nothing against him because he had 8 kids in his 20's but still, he was not a major breadwinner. That said, if any of us woke up with 8 kids under the age of 5 we wou ld have to scramble to make a living too! I think Kate just scrambled harder than Jon and both began to resent it.

It appears to me that Jon resents Kate's success, strength and abusive behaviors. Kate resents Jon's lack of strength and wishy washy attitude.

Personally, I think that Jon is really off the rails now. As a social worker I would be concerned about the people he brings around to the children. He seems to latch on to all the wrong people and he makes really bad decisions. I have wondered about his use of substances too, although its just a hunch. He seems altered sometimes, not sure if it is stress, nerves or maybe something else?

Kate needs to stop bringing her marital business out in public forums. Lay low for a while, concentrate on her kids and focus on new projects. You know Kate gets a lot of criticism from people for hiring nannys and babysitters. But when you have 8 kids, a spouse who is traveling to Vegas and Europe with his girlfriend, and lots of expenses you HAVE to work. Single moms with less than eight kids have help, why is it her fault that she needs some too??

It's not a big deal, but I'm curious. Did they shop themselves around? Like a make a tape and send it out and everything? I thought I had heard or read that Discovery heard about them and came to them with the idea of a documentary? Or maybe that Discovery found them from that homemaker show they were on? I can't remember exactly.


And about wondering what ever attracted them to each other. I've often wondered that, but when I watch earlier videos of them and video from their wedding and honeymoon at WDW, Kate seems alot more carefree back then. She also seemed very young to me, in those early videos they seem much more suited to each other than now. Some people totally change when they have kids...it most definitely seems to have changed Kate. Kate and Jon don't seem to have "grown" well together.

Who knows what attracted them. But there was obviously a lot of love there. People change...or sometimes they don't change. One person grows in one direction and the other doesn't I know I am not the same person I was in my early 20's...and neither is my husband. If I had met him at 19 or 20 I would have run in the other direction. Him probably the same with me. We met at 25 and by that time we were maturing...and when we met we were on the same track with what we wanted in our lives. We both have changed since we have been married...for the most part in the same direction. But I never would try to change anything about him and him the same with me.

I think Jon only requested the 90 day delay -- on LKL, Kate's newest lawyer said they would not be agreeing to that and that the divorce hearing would go ahead as scheduled. The links I found said that that is scheduled for October 20th.

My guess is that it would be very passive and uninvolved ... allegedly, he doesn't even know what time the children come home from school. I'm betting the nannies are far more involved than Jon.

You know I rarely follow this kind of stuff. I'm a news junkie, one of my top 5 favorite show is Anderson Cooper's 360 (I love Anderson ) I don't read People or any of the tabloid magazines, I only occasionally watch ET or Access Hollywood, ect...I didn't know who Speidi was forever and I still don't understand who Lauren Conrad is. But somehow this has just sucked me in, maybe because I really used to enjoy the show. And you know the last time I can remember really watching something like this? .... Britney Spears!!! I could not stop watching her drama either. Everyday it was something else, something more shocking, more disturbing, ... more sad. It's different, but that drama reminds me of this. It's non-stop, almost everyday I think nothing else could surprise me and yet, every day something surprises me. Although Britney does seem to be doing well now. I hope Jon and Kate don't have to hit rock bottom quite as hard.

It is just like the Britney drama, but it's worse because there are 2 idiots and more kids.

Everyday I pull up TMZ expecting to see Kate barefoot in a convienence store buying a pregnancy test and using the public bathroom and Jon walking down the street with paparazzi and no pants.

Maybe Kfed should get custody of the Gosselin kids.
