Wow -- I do too! What a change that makes! But lets give credit where credit is due (unlike the Victoria Beckham 1990's style that she used to have -- which people have only attributed to her). I'd say this is more Sharon Stone.

Wait a minute! She's doing ANOTHER article in People? And Jon hasn't even finished his interview yet! There'll have to be at least one more after that.

I think it's just for the magazine.

As for the casino thing, why would Kate have been scheduled there to begin with?

GSDs are the glorious dogs, but parents MUST teach their kiddies to behave around all dogs. Hitting is just not OK. With any dog. Dogs do have teeth. And even the calmest and best trained might just use them if threatened.

I say this as the partner of 3 Certified Therapy dogs. My dogs will not bite. My guy and girls visit lots of places as volunteers. Schools, hospitals and Nursing Facilities.

But I'd step between my incredibly well trained, certified, and insured pups and the Gosselin kids.

Just saying. We see part of our mission as Therapy Dog teams when interacting with the General Public is to teach children manners around less well trained dogs.

But then, the Gosselins don't require helmets on bikes or ATVs either.

My brother has a GSD just about the same age as the Gosellins' dogs. His kids would not even be allowed to threaten their dog, let alone actually hit him (and they are 8 and 6 now).

There's no excuse for allowing this, none at all.

Careful, you're going to get people riled up about the helmets again! Seriously though, they should be using them especially on the ATV.

Definitely not a great idea, letting the kids hit the dogs. Did you all notice how the one who got hit ran away with his poor tail down? I'm thinking the kids are using them like toys. I'd really hate to see one of the kids get bit because poor Shooka or Nala (sp?) have had enough of their abuse! (Although, weren't they with the nanny when all this was going on? I thought I saw her in the clips. I wonder if J&K allow it when they're on duty?) We used to have a miniature schnauzer and always told our girls to be gentle with her. Dogs can get snippy if they feel threatened. Although, our dog patiently sat while my DD6 dressed her in American Girl doll dresses!

Someone posted a link last week to a People article that was coming out for that week and it was the same picture of Kate with her hair like that. So that was last week's people, I don't think it is for a new one.

Finally able to watch the video, couldn't see it at work. Someone definitely needs to warn them about not hitting the dogs. Scary.

However, what is so wrong about kids entertaining themselves? That's what we did when we were kids.

that's what I thought, too. without the part related to the dogs, it looked like typical 5-year-old play to me.

We went shopping tonight and I saw the cover of the People magazine. It sure looks like Kate is missing an earring--but you can see it in the shadows. She is very attractive, but compared to when they first started the show I also think she has had several cosmetic procedures done. She sure doesn't look like someone who is upset that her husband left her for a 22 yr old and worried about how she will provide and take care of 8 kids. Maybe there getting her ready for the "View". I'm sure Whoopi and Barbara are thrilled (NOT). Well if all else fails, there is always Jerry Springer!

I am sure that this video is not the first time those poor dogs have been hit. Dogs don't walk around with their tails between their legs like that unless they have a history of being abused. If they had been hit only that one time they would have walked away and not come back, these dogs stuck around and got hit again and again until they walked away down the hill.
I do wonder where Kate was, she sent those kids out to the front for their "PAP" time and she wasn't around?
Also, as to Jon being abused, there is alot of abuse that doesn't show and verbal is definately one. Who knows how she talked to him when they were alone if that is the way she talks to him when she knows the cameras are running. He used to mutter under his breath things like "oh yeah, I am stupid" and "she thinks she is always right" and he would roll his eyes, but I never saw him go after her personally like she did to him.
And she is definately on the verge of being physically abusive too. Abuse doesn't have to be hitting to leave a mark, it can be that little slap she used to give him when they were on the couch, or a pinch here and there. Look at the way she slapped Emeril, I saw the look on his face and he was none too happy. But then she slapped him again, and just laughed it off, "Oh yes, I did slap him." And I saw the video where she hit one of the tups because she was on the phone and the tup was making noise. Maybe if she got off her phone when her kids were around they wouldn't make noise. I know most kids do seem to make the most noise while you are on the phone. There are so many pictures posted of her sitting in the front yard talking on the phone. Get off your duff and draw, ride a bike, play kickball, etc... I have never seen her do any of that.
I have never watched the show but if I am skimming channels I might catch a few minutes of it before shutting it off, and I have always seemed to catch parts that just really get me angry.
I am not a Jon follower but I do see why he can't be with her anymore, I probably would deck her if I had to listen to that attitude for more than a few minutes.
And I bet those offers that are going to Kate are not coming to him, he seems to be getting the offers to visit Vegas and drop in to bar openings, but he is not getting the invites to the "MOM" meetings and "good mother" groups that Kate gets because there are not really any men who would go to listen to someone who had 8 kids talk about how wonderful they are. I wouldn't waste my money on hearing anything Kate has to say.

Well said. It's rare that we get these sort of "summary posts." It really seems different when you put it all together like that ie. when we're not discussing the minute details of a particular photograph or hat or shirt.

If anyone goes to the The View website, read the message board. They asked a question on what should they discuss when Kate is co-host. The majority of posters say they can't believe they would have her on or they won't watch on those 2 days she is there. Doesn't sound like anyone is looking forward to seeing Kate!

As for his IT security job, I can see how that was totally not conducive to the filming schedule -- one of the dad's at our campground has the same job and this topic came up when there were issues with the wireless there. He absolutely has to put in a certain number of hours each day, whether at the office or from home, and is on call at all times -- if there is an issue he has no more than 1/2 hour to log in and fix the problem. I'm sure that wasn't working out for TLC -- can you imagine Jon saying "stop the cameras, I have to work"?

That might be true as far as hours go, however, yes why couldn't Jon say I have to work?

My kids and our schedule get interrupted all of the time because of DH's work. That should be part of being a husband and dad...sometimes you have to work.

I do not ever remember V.Beckham having the spiked crown in the back. While Kate's hair was similar to hers, it was not the same style. Plus Beckham's was cut with more of a flow from short to long etc. Kate's...not so much.

So TLC canceled both Kate AND Jon. Interesting.

What in the world would Kate do at a casino really?? The people there don't want to hear about her organic cooking or her parenting tips. Maybe Kate's a partier and we just don't know it?? It seems like their security would be telling them to stay out of huge places like this where you can't control the crowds and such if they're so worried and Kate's not feeling safe when she goes out.

I do have to say I'm impressed that we're not seeing daily pictures of the kids playing in the yard or going to Starbucks or whatever (or J&K doing that while the kids are in school). That much is a nice break. I do though expect pictures of their holiday weekend I guess since the kids will be home for the weekend.

Project Runway's Timm Gunn decided to weigh in on Jon Gosselin's taste in clothing, and it wasn't pretty.

If you can sum up Jon Gosselin's fashion style, it would likely be somewhere between a grown man's identity crisis and a "C-list" celebrity wannabe. Jon Gosselin continues to strut his stuff in clothing many would consider much to young for him and much too unforgiving. If Jon spent a fraction of his time working out with weights and jogging as he does working out his libido, he might be able to get away with walking around with a bare chest and beer gut.

His style certainly reflects just how far from reality he's fallen and it seems to indicate an inflated view of himself. He obviously thinks he's quite hot and that he can compete with college kids, vying for the same early-20-something booty. Unbeknown to him however, is that the real reason those girls are rubbing Jon's elbows and other body parts is the fact that he has money, and throws it around in what appears to be a bid to buy his friends and girlfriends. It sure can't be his Ed Hardy shirts, which are unflattering at best. Given Jon's taste in women and clothes, let's hope Ed Hardy has some good designers willing to veto Jon's stylistic vision.

And I'm not the only one that thinks he looks like an unkempt teenager. According to Project Runways Tim Gunn suggests to Us Weekly that Jon's look is just plain lazy:

It is what I refer to as the slobification of America. If you want to dress to feel as though you never got out of bed, then don’t get out of bed!
