Okay - Kate just lost points with me for moving 150 miles away from her kids. I could NEVER do that. What is the deal with these people. They talk about putting family first and then move out of state during their non-custodial time. Don't they see that it is CLEARLY best for the kids if Mom and Dad live in the same city and are available for events and happenings that occur on their non-custodial time?

These people make me crazy!

Its hard to believe some "not too smart" sponser of TLC is allowing Jon & Kate to keep their family home and each have their own apartment. Jon buys a $950 pair of shoes like its nothing. Long gone are the days they shopped at the Salvation Army.
They have no regard for their children. Money is all their after. Who in their right mind would broadcast their divorce on national TV for their children and world to see.

Rockville, Maryland? That's like 2 1/2 hours away from PA. What is wrong with J&K? Jon is living in NY and Kate is living in MD? I don't get it at all. There is NO way that if I were Kate, I'd be living that far from my kids on the off parenting days. Sorry but that is just plain ridiculous IMO. What if something happens to one of the kids? Do you realize what traffic is like in Rockville on the Capital Beltway? It's insane and if there were an emergency, it could take Kate hours to get to her kids. What if for some reason one of the kids just wants her because they miss her or are scared? Im so confused. What a couple of nit-wits.

ETA: Rockville, MD is pretty expensive too. I'm guessing that it's WAY cheaper to live in PA. Seriously, Kate what are you thinking???

I always find it odd that people post on this thread that don't watch the show. But okay, maybe a few more people will get hooked and join our fun! I agree...I found the coupon incident more annoying than gum-gate. Both are totally over the top Kate moments. The reason I found the coupon incident more annoying was because I felt like Kate may have been under a great deal of pressure...1) moving is ranks as one of the top stressful events in a person's lives 2) Kate was probably trying to justify the move into such an elaborate house and 3) we have no idea how many times she gave Jon the coupon and wasted money is still just wasted money no matter how much you have.

And this particular show is exactly WHY I was not a full time J&K8 viewer. Kate seemed to be always complaining or yelling at Jon the very very few times I would watch it. Soooo, the coupon show was the last time I tuned them in. Kate screaming at her husband over the shower head is not exactly my idea of family television enjoyment.

I'll believe it when I see pics of her there though. It would be a stupid move.

She had said she had a place in PA and the last time Jon had the kids she was gone a day and then came back to help with the doctor. I wouldn't think she would want to be any further away, but you just never know. lol.

Seriously, what does Kate Gosselin have to teach ME about balance. I sure could balance a lot with a nanny, free stuff and lots of money. And I usually agree with Dr. Laura -- hate to say it sometimes -- she's harsh, but she's usually right.

For some reason, I find it so funny that Jon isn't wearing his Ed Hardy stuff anymore. Is this guy fickle or what? Can't imagine those Prada shoes would go with any of his Hardy stuff. Then again, I can't imagine Jon really having anything to go with wing tips.

My brothers tell me that every man needs one pair of good shoes that can go anywhere and go with any type of suit. Neither of them would buy Prada, but I'm quite sure they spent over $300 on their best pair of shoes (take that back -- the oldest DB only has 1 pair of shoes -- bought them for his wedding and they went to every funeral and wedding since then) So, I'm not going to jump on Jon for buying a pair of shoes -- now, if I found out he had his own shoe closet, that would be different. I'll allow him two pairs of Pradas, one at his apt. and one at the house.

Yes, and it's further than Jon's apt. by an hour if there's traffic -- according to Google Directions.

Apparently, she's buying her condo but Jon is leasing his. Looks nothing like Jon's building -- these 2 are very different people.

No need to be sorry...like I said--hope you join the fun. It just strikes me as odd to post about something you aren't interested in. I mean I see a lot of posts about shows I have watched once or twice but I don't read or post on those because I'm not a regular viewer. I don't feel the need to post to say, I'm posting because I don't like the show.

I'm usually on the side of cutting Kate some slack...but if the apartment thing is true then that is just WRONG!

Totally agree. As a Mom there is absolutely no way I'd even consider moving that far. She is choosing MD just like Jon chose NY. I seriously don't understand them. Their kids are going through something so difficult and emotionally upsetting, how can you move so far when they need you the most?? Wow, it is just unbelievably selfish on both J&K's part to do this. Snark alert...if Kate cared more about her kids, she'd be closer, as in PA not MD. I just can't imagine what either of them are thinking.

Huh. I really thought Kate would get a place nearby...actually I thought she already did get a place nearby. If Kate is really moving to this place in MD, I'll say the same thing I said about Jon living in NYC....How SAD that you have a CHOICE about living close to your kids or not...when many who want to don't, and you chose to live 2 1/2 hours away.

I rarely have time to watch TV at all. And every time I've turned on JK+8 lately, I've tuned into some high tension moment -- just not the way I want to relax. And where we stay for the summer, there is no TV. I catch up on news, etc. over the internet.

So...no, I don't regularly watch the show. And with the comments my DD has made about the show, I can't let her watch it either (except for the repeats of when the tups were little) But I don't regularly watch any show.
