The Star Mag. reporter (Kate2) claims she and Jon are dating. Jon hasn't confirmed it yet. The Real Housewife and Michael Lohan were at a party in the Hamptons where Jon and Kate2 were. It really does read like a bad novel doesn't it?

Wasn't it Aaden who said something about a boom mic once? How many kids know what that is? Ya, those pictures don't look natural to me either. It's like, ok kids go and play but occassionally look at the camera and say something cute! BTW, who is that little blond boy in the pics? It looks like the same boy from the other day with Kate's friend on the stoop. It looks like they were filming him too from the pictures at least.

That was Joel when they were in Hawaii. The boys went on the treasure hunt with Jon. Kids pretend play what they know. It's kind of sad that that is what they know, putting booms in peoples faces.

I agree. In one of those pictures, even the dog looks poised, and cute! They're probably training the dogs to play up to the cameras, too.

As for the People Mag. article, lovely. So Jon and his new gal pal Kate2 needed to get away? Going to the Hamptons is such a LOW profile place! Nobody would know them there! Poor Jon, he's been running ragged...vacationing in St. Tropez, filming for a couple of days, playing on the swings in NY and now getting away to the Hamptons for days. He really needs some 'just Jon' time! That was a bit snarky I know.

How is an unemployed octodad like Jon Gosselin the hottest commodity around?

Just one day after Gosselin's 22-year-old gal pal, Hailey Glassman, gushed about her new romance with the reality star, a blonde wrench was thrown into the new love triangle.

Star magazine reporter Kate Major has professed her love for Gosselin, just five days after they were first photographed leaving Upper East Side restaurant Accademia di Vino.

"I didn't mean it to happen; it just did," Major, 26, said. "I went to do a story on Jon and ended up falling for him."

Perhaps it was love at first sight of the Ed Hardy clad dad?

No word yet on how the father of eight feels in return for the smitten tabloid reporter, but his actions are saying plenty.

Gosselin and Kate 2.0 were seen holding hands and looking cozy while on a mini-vacation to Southampton yesterday, as reported in today's Gatecrasher.

The new odd couple is staying with Michael Lohan, a close friend of Major's and yes, Lindsay's dad.

"Jon is a friend, he's a great guy, he needed a place to get away to, and my doors were open to him and Kate Major," Lohan told People.com. "Jon and Kate [Major] are good friends of mine. She's with him [at Lohan's house]. Kate's like a daughter to me. When she needed a place my doors were open."

What, was Gosselin's tony new upper West Side apartment not good enough?

As if the motley crew wasn't random enough, "Real Housewives" star Jill Zarin and husband Bobby Zarin, as well as Southampton Mayor Mark Epley and his wife, Marianne, joined the group for dinner last night at Red Bar, People.com reports.

Sitting at a large back corner table in the quiet restaurant, the 32-year-old playboy was spotted wearing his white shirttails out, while Major showed off her assets in a revealing low-cut leopard-print top.

Major was reportedly stroking Gosselin's arm throughout the two-and-a-half hour dinner.

And as for the reality star's feelings?

"He didn't seem smitten. They weren't all over each other. But they're definitely dating. It came up in conversation," Jill Zarin said. "She had her hands on him. But she's young. This is a girl who is going to want to have babies. Does he really want to go out with another young girl and have kids?"

For the sake of humanity, let's hope not.
