Well, I think I figured out where to start -- Park City is in Summit County, so it would be the Summit County Recorder's office. Here's the link:

Good luck with your search. Not all jurisdictions make this info available publicly, online and free, but many do. I read somewhere that the Gosselins had set up a corporation, so they may have their property ownership under that name.

I've searched all I'm going to. I don't care enough, and from what I can tell from skimming the blogs, no one knows for sure whether or not he bought a condo or a timeshare week. it's not been confirmed one way or the other. it's another one of those things we'll never know for sure. LOL

No need to be sorry...like I said--hope you join the fun. It just strikes me as odd to post about something you aren't interested in. I mean I see a lot of posts about shows I have watched once or twice but I don't read or post on those because I'm not a regular viewer. I don't feel the need to post to say, I'm posting because I don't like the show.

I am not be interested in THE show...but I am interested about J&K and their kiddos. After-all they are in the news ALL THE TIME. These last couple of J&K threads have NOT even been about the show...they have been about their LIVES and the directions they are going in. That I find very interesting.

that's pretty much how I feel about it, too. I quit watching the show on Monday nights after the premiere, and really.. I couldn't tell you the last one I watched from beginning to end.

From madge's article..........OH BOTHER! :headache: Now the kiddos will be real proud of daddy. :sad2:

Gosselin has signed a deal with agent Mike Heller at Talent Resources, who has business connections with Lindsay Lohan, Paris Hilton and Kevin Federline.

Gosselin is also reportedly working on a deal to host a new reality TV show, “The Divorced Dads Club

I'm willing to bet that this one is right on the money. Note to self: remind all friends to google new love interests BEFORE the first date.

I'm curious about the new reality show idea -- is he really working on it? Or is TLC trying to get him to agree to it? Either way, it sounds like it's only going to be Kate + 8 in the future (at least it still rhymes)

:lmao: Great advice! Even better advice is to NOT date Jon Gosselin! I just read something too about his alleged reality show 'Divorced Dads' (insert retching sound here). Maybe we should start calling Jon Octodad. I read that somewhere that I can't recall now!

I did see in the Fox5 DC news that Kate indeed bought a condo at Rockville Town Square. Here's a link to the condos...notice the picture at the bottom! Kate will be thrilled! :lmao:

Uggghhh! I still waiting for more news on the Kate condo purchase.
a blogger at the Baltimore Sun had a bit last week that Kate was in the area looking at the condo, per Us Weekly .. this week seems to be a continuation of that story, without confirmation that Kate has been seen actually moving in.

Discovery Communications, LLC is located in Silver Spring .. how far is that from Rockville?

Discovery Channel is very close to Rockville. Maybe like 12-15 miles away. Hmmm, I didn't even think about Kate being close to the Discovery Channel building in Silver Spring. Interesting point Madge. Now I'm thinking her move might have been more calculated than we realize.

I don't personally care where either of them live, as long as when they are supposed to be with their children they are, and they are willing to come to their children in an emergency. As I said when Jon moved to NY, besides thinking he has just been acting like a fool, he's not much further away than many people are when they go to work. Some people take the train from DC and work daily in NYC and vice versa. How do they get home quickly if their kids need them? Even people that live in Philly travel often to NYC or DC for jobs. They often have apartments in the city they work in. We have two sets of friends that travel from PA to DC to work, and one that lives in Hartford, CT and works in NYC.

I also assume that if there is a soccer game (I forget which twin is in soccer) they will make some of the games, and also will make arrangements to be there for special school events.

Some people have a distance clause in their paperwork when separating, some don't. Some parents move across the country from thier kids because work calls them.
I just don't want to see those kids ignored, and I hope they aren't.

True but the difference is that J&K had a choice where to live. Most people have to spend time commuting, etc. due to their job and finances. It's just unsettling to me that they'd choose to go so far away. The divorce isn't even final and the kids must still be adjusting to their new normal life with J&K not together anymore. Of course it's very different if one of the parents has to relocate because of their job. But with J&K, the show is their job which has to be filmed with the kids who live in PA. Know what I mean? It's just not sitting well with me that they'd move so far. That's just my opinion but of course I'm biased since I come from a divorced family. Having both my parents within 45 minutes of each other was a wonderful thing. Even though Dad would be gone during the week at his house, I knew it was only 45 minutes away and if I needed him he'd be there. So yes, I guess I am biased then. :)

They did have choice, but so did the people I'm talking about. Some people just make different choices from us. I doubt the kids even realize how far mom and dad are. I also have no idea why they made the choices they did. I wouldn't have made the same choices, but then there are a lot of things I would have done differently from other people.

Personally I think it's fiscally irresponsible for both parties to buy/rent/lease another home when they have one sitting empty that they could use.

Their old house isn't all that far away. It's large enough that both Jon and Kate could have their own spaces there. Heck they could make the whole upstairs into a separate apartment and make that Jon's house while the main floor could be Kate's. But why do that when they can spends thousands upon thousands on fancy housing in exciting communities? Especially since they have all this money they can just flush down the toilet. @@

All this throwing around of money - especially after Kate screeched on and on about the coupon - is just ironic to me.

I'm a few pages late on the real estate stuff but I live in Utah and we own a timeshare in park city.

Ours is through a major hotel chain tho. Whoever said that's what's usually up here is right. In park city itself you can buy or rent houses (a lot of times the owner goes somewhere sunny during the winter and rents the home out to skiiers).

Does he actually 'own' in Canyons? Or is it in Park City. It's all considered Park City but it's very..different. Canyons is up a different direction.
