In the still photos it shows this person plus another person I have never seen before. I just wonder who they are.

I think the second one may be one of the not-a-nannies, the first I have no idea. I saw a picture from yesterday with an older lady, speculated to be Nana Janet, which would be wonderful! I think it was just Jon at home and Kate was out. The caption referred to her as a visitor.

Yea, kate is REALLY WORRIED about her financial situation and providing for all the kids on her own.

I didn't see the announcement where she had to pay for it..I just assumed it was another placement perk like a lot of other shows have. I only saw what the value of it was.
Did it also say if she purchased or leased it?

Wow! Last night watching one of those entertainment shows...it stated that Jon was looking at NYC studio apts and the rent monthly would be around $3600.00. If the shows goes off the air....how will J&K afford all this, the home in PA., the NYC apt., the new car, etc etc? What does Jon do for work and I am assuming he will be paying child support if the divorce happens?

I also read that Jon came back from NY in a new BMW. I could not find pictures so I did not bother posting that. I have seriously lost track of the cars so I did not know if he already owned a BMW. Too bad they did not head over to a GM dealership last week, they were almost giving cars away. At least they are doing their part at stimulating the economy. Although I would be putting some away for a rainy day.

Wasn't Nana Janet the one that moved away? And they surprised the kids with a visit from her when they stayed in the hotel with all the ducks (I think they were doing a St Judd's or another hospital giveaway in that show).
I thought Janet and her husband moved away a bit ago. Did her husband get a different job in another area? Madge? Where are you (or should I say, calling Marge LOL..not sure if you changed your name yet).

Maybe they'll come back with they will be back together, and everyone will be happy. Kate seems to always be on the cell, maybe she's always talking to Jon. Maybe they knew all the drama would be big $$$.

I would be thrilled if they had somehow managed to reconcile (although I would still want to see them cancel the show so they don't end up right back in the same gigantic mess again - and the children can live their lives in privacy), but if I were still a viewer(which I'm not), I would be pretty ticked off..

Most of it is a big ploy for ratings and $$$ anyhow.. It doesn't take an hour to say, "We're getting a divorce" - or - "We're staying together" - so I would guess that the "big" announcement will take all of 5 minutes - if that - and possibly be at the very end..

I have not been an extrememly loyal viewer through the years. I would catch an episode once in a while. But with all the hype I have been folowing it closer. If this is just all a ploy to get the viewers and they are just playing a game ...I guess I would be a little ticked but I think that it would hurt them in the end.

If they are playing the audience I would be extremely disappointed at such low handed tactics. Mostly because there is no way the kids (mainly Mady and Cara) have not seen or heard about what is being said in the tabloids.

If they are both acting they need to move to Hollywood and become real actors and forget the cable show. Jon's hostility and Kate's sadness seem as genuine as can be to me.

I would prob think..it's just like all the other shows, with their 'big' announcements trying to get us to watch it (if you mean about the big announcement). I watch survivor, and they are big on showing a little of the show on the ads, yet you have to watch close to see what the hoopla in the ad was even about. I'm not stupid (well, not all the time anyway) and I know a lot of these TV ads are to get people, which means the ads will cost more for a projected high watched show, which could mean more money for TLC (although I thought the advertisers are usually in place months before the TV show airs, unlike special events), so I don't know how that can change..they will still have to honor the ads that would have regularly have shown for their repeat show that usually follows the new show. I'm not expecting much more than 5 - 10 minutes of their life and the rest to be about the crooked houses, etc. so I won't feel played about that part of the show.

If it turns out that Jon's girlfriend was hired to act like his grilfriend and that actually Jon and Kate are and have been getting along just fine, I would prob stop watching the show, because then that means it's them and not the paparazzi causing all the rukus. I just don't happen to think Kate is that good of an actress to play how hurt she sounded.

J&K related: I just saw the clip for the first time with Kate's voice over saying they have made life changing decisions, and the big build up for Mondays show. I just have to say this - for me,this show went from,
1. "that is a cute idea for a documentary, jeez, what a handful, the kids are so cute" to
2. "hmm, it is sort of creepy to have your kids on tv each week, aren't they worried about exposing them to crazy people? I don't think I would do that for money, but the kids are cute"
3. to " ok, the freebies are getting ridiculous and this woman is a beast to her husband" to
4. "OMG! these people are going to rot in hell for for prostituting out their family lives and and family crisis for MONEY and RATINGS!"

I have not been a kate or Jon fan for most of the time the show has been on, because I just so disagree with what they are dong to thier kids lives, but this last promo is just disgusting. Bottom of the barrel sleazy. Teasing people with hints at your divorce, but please watch our show so we good ratings to find out. For a woman who professes to be Christian (although I have yet to see her act Christian) I would not want to be having to explain this one on Judgement Day.

All I can say to this post is, I'm zipping my mouth and sitting on my hands (and it's not easy), because we have been asked to not debate or talk about religion, and I think this post could easily turn into both discussions. I'll have to let God be the one to judge Kate and anyone else who professes to be a Christian about their actions.

Jon & Kate seem to have flipped personalities. She was the forceful one. He was meek. Not anymore. I'm kind of surprised because a flaunted affair like he carried on (whether it was more than emotional, is neither here nor there) would seem to bring out the lion in most women. I know people react in different ways, but I guess I was keying in on Kate's strong personality.

I'm surprised there isn't footage of her putting a boot to his behind.

Society loves to build people up, wait patiently for them to make a mistake so they can knock them down, and then wait to see if they are contrite about their error so they can forgive them.

He is really soft...but don't try to cuddle him when he just wakes up in the morning...he's a little wild man on a mission of destruction!!

I figure if I put happy pics in here every now and then, it might diffuse some of the tension, because who can be cranky when they see a happy puppy!
