Jon and Kate Plus 8 official Thread, Part 2!!

Jon just mentioned going out alone and people taking his picture. Sounds like a reference to whole bar picture thing. He seems to be really struggling with his identity I guess. I hope they can work this out together.

My opinion on Jon and Kate which is pretty much my opinion on all reality celebrities is this. If you choose to garner your fame and fortune from this line of work, then you should fully expect for some people to love you, some people to hate you and some people to just not care. However, by signing up with TLC and taking that first check you officially opened your life, and the choices you make in in to everyone in America. They make their entire income from the result of this show and all I can say is regardless of who you are if you take the whole circus with anymore than the entertainment it is suppose to be then you care way to much about them.

Though it is part of the "job", I could only imagine how stressful that is. If one thinks about the entire situation of him already being away from the family to help his mom and then all the hupla about him at these bars it makes for a very hard time.
I can sympathize because my marriage, as I'm sure others too have experienced, is not always perfect. I could not imagine being put under a microscope and then dissected.

I think it is. I don't know why but I just feel really sad for all of them right now. Overall, Kate seems much more normal like her old self but Jon seems so sad and dejected. Wow, I didn't realize how much I care about this little family.

That's it! I think he is really struggling with the whole public part of it, she loves the attention and he doesn't.

Yeah, that was really strange and uncomfortable. Kate loves the fame and the money and Jon doesn't like sitting at home "working". If I were Jon, I wouldn't like it either.

They said they may not be back....but they talked about the set for season 5 and they have said in recent interviews that they have signed on and are going to be producers of the show. So much for a cliffhanger!!

That's it! I think he is really struggling with the whole public part of it, she loves the attention and he doesn't.

Isn't that sad? For some reason this episode had me nearly in tears. On the flip side, I felt this seemed like a normal, earlier season episode which was nice to see. Poor Jon was trying to formulate his thoughts and you could tell it was paining him to say it and Kate was more than ready to speak for him.

after watching the whole thing, and listening to what was said, I'm almost certain this was filmed 2 weeks ago. not that it matters, but if it was, then it wasn't an afterthought.

and it was edited at LOT. there were lots of breaks in the conversation.

one last thing. I thought they involved the kids in the decision? I guess not, as long as Kate's loving what she's doing. That's all that matters. Although Kate is marketing herself as Kate Gosselin the brand, as opposed to Jon & Kate plus 8 the show. Maybe that's what she's loving and wants to continue ..

I didn't see her at the game, but she was interviewed and I think got a haircut earlier in the episode.
