Yes, we are staying in Bowling Green.
I'll probably stay with my god-mother, but we usually stay in this.
After the 2nd day of taking a shower in there,
I need a real shower and bed.
I just don't have a car to go back and forth from the track to her house,
so I don't know if it will work or not.

We pull it with this.
I told Matt he needs to tint the windows, I hate untinted windows. Especially when I am sleeping in the back seat.

Thought you all might also find it interesting that I met the lady who just bought a JBF (kids' consignment sale) franchise in Reading, PA while working at our JBF sale today. Didn't ask about PA's favorite TV family, but they were alluded to in a pretty bland manner (not favorable, not unfavorable). Wonder if they'll be JBFers...

I've been to Kentucky almost every summer since age 12.
You can still give me some tourist pointers though,
just don't tell me to go to Sonic-they have great commercials, but the food is way to greasy.

My DD18 works at Sonic and the girls stop there almost every day after school for the Happy Hour Drinks!

I love Sonic because I can get my Diet Vanilla coke!

uneventful is a good way to describe it.

I really was disappointed by how disconnected she seemed during the whole thing. I knew that she'd give the same speech she gives everywhere else, and I don't know what it is she could have done .. she was kept in a holding area until the speech, and went back to the holding area after she was finished. But even a comment on the town, where she was .. something.

About the Altoona, PA article -- people at the sheeple blogs are doing this saying that because it's a credible paper, it must be true. Let the heavens rejoice! To me, it sounded like more of an admission that Jon was there, likely wasn't fooling around with girls, which we sort of already knew. But it isn't much different to me than some of the other publications.

Thanks for the update madge....I don't know if you saw my post from a couple of days ago but I mentioned how I thought that Kate's interaction with people is strange/off, your description of "disconnected" is spot on. (I couldn't find the right word for it).

It IS a little dissapointing that she didn't even stay for the service. Thanks again for letting us know the scoop!

The church I teach at is bigger, but my home church is teeny-tiny, so probably no chance of Kate coming anywhere I could get inside scoop, but I know what you mean about church gossip. I'm sure you'll hear something sooner or later.

Madge - thanks for the update!! I guess it's kind of what I expected in regards to Kate not really interacting with anyone at all. Too bad you didn't feel the need to be more stalker-ish today - you could have tried to have lunch with her! It seems weird that they'd go somewhere so "public" - I'm sure there was much more attention there and not being able to really "talk" about anything with us commonfolk around. I'm glad you were able to get a good spot. I hope you're able to find someone who has the "inside scoop" from the church and see what really happened behind the scenes. I think it's good that they talked about spending time with family - hopefully it really happened and wasn't just added as part of the speech.

I guess I think about Kate and her family a lot. I probably would have been one of "those people" who was on her doorstep offering help with the babies. I just wonder so much, probably because of my sorted past (years in foster care, abuse, neglect, basic overall disconnect from people in general for the most part) what I would have done if I were Kate or how I would have reacted/interacted with Kate.

The other thing I think about is that local people were interested in the beginning and it seems that some were ticked off by the way J&K no longer needed volunteers or whatever. So do the neighbors just not talk to anyone or do you guys think that no one's asking about what's going on (moreso in the old house)?? It just seems like their neighbors would be able to confirm/deny things J&K are saying (the "I didn't leave my house for two years" on Dr. Phil or family/friends coming to visit). Neighbors have to know different vehicles - and you have to know when 8 kids are outside or when things are weirdly quiet there. It seems like reporters would consider asking neighbors about the comings and goings of the house. I can't imagine getting every neighbor to sign a confidentiality agreement - I have to say I wouldn't sign one if my neighbor came and asked me!

On another note, I had my inner Kate come out yesterday! I'd finished pulling weeds and DH was outside with my boys playing. I plopped myself down in my lawn chair in the garage with my drink and watching/directed them from my chair!
