Again, not trying to defend them all the time, but about the high chairs.......

They have NO furniture in the new house. They didn't have much in the old house either. My guess is that now that they are in the new house they will be furnishing the house. That takes time (especially if you need to order furniture). I really think that they are using what they have until they get new furniture for this house. Last nights episode looks like it took place in November so they have probably been in the house <1 month. It is reasonable that they don't have furniture yet.

Now, this is all speculation. If they are still using the high chairs just because then I agree that is a bit ridiculous!

I am indifferent about the bibs. I know lots of adults who tuck napkins into their collars so they don't spill on their clothes. I have an almost 3 year old and I usually strip him down when we are eating if I don't want the clothes to get ruined. I would use a bib if need be......so I am a bit indifferent about that.

To be honest no they are not. I like the new ones they built in Limerick, PA.
But Lancater and Reading outlets are nothing great.
Is the outlet in Maryland at the beach? We do enjoy the outlets down there much more. I have to check that out in the summer.
Thanks!:goodvibes

the outlet mall I went to in Maryland wasn't at the beach ..it was in Hagerstown. Stopped there for a potty break on the way home from Washington DC.

was it a messy meal last night? (I didn't see the show)

It was actually lunch.
Jon took the kids out for a walk in the woods
and a tractor ride.
He made the comment how tired everyone was
and no one said a word during lunch time.

I wonder how cold it was.
Jon had a hat on and a carhart winter coat.
The little one's just had their winter coats on and no hats.

so they wore bibs with sandwiches?

you've got to be kidding. seriously?

:rotfl2: :lmao: (not laughing at you .. laughing at the thought ... )

Since there was no furniture, then it was probably right after they moved .. early November-ish? Might not have been terribly freezing cold.

I wonder why they aren't going to show the Nanny on TV? I wonder if it is *her* choice or the producers, i.e. Jon and Kate, want to make it look like they do it all themselves?

What nanny?....the young girl who has been helping out? The one that went with them to Hawaii or someone else?

Kate was very immature in the interview last night. I am glad she wasn't in the show much, she annoy's me more and more. When Jon said "I will just let you do the interview, you weren't even there", I was like :woohoo:

I think Jon does great with the kids. Although, it was silly to take away the sticks Collin was collecting since he was about the only one not crying at that point. Joel was driving me crazy (can only imagine how Jon felt) and so was Leah.

I wonder why they haven't shown the pool in any of these "new home" episodes?

according to a pretty fair/balanced review about one of Jon's recent speaking engagements, there's a Vietnamese sitter with them 6 hours a day (I think I have that right?) that Jon says will not be shown on air.

give 'em time, they will ... :rotfl:

So did someone on this thread go to this speaking engagement and confirm this or is this speculation from some other site?

Not that it matters to me, I am sure they need the help. If it is true, it may be that this person requested she not be filmed. Thanks for your quick response, Madge. :thumbsup2

That had to be the MOST boring episode yet. Frankly, watching just the twins and Jon just doesn't entertain me. I enjoy the episodes with Kate more. If Kate isn't in them, I'm not watching. She is just entertaining to watch. They should have scrapped this episode and followed Kate to NY.

I'm sure many people disagree with me. Anyone agree with me?

Also, if the Vietnamese babysitter is there 6 hours a day and won't be shown, how are they going to film.

Also, I cannot believe how fortunate they are now. What an incredible life they have now! The house, cars, vacations. Talk about rags to riches. That should be the theme since we all know Kate isn't struggling now and doesn't have to worry about coupons, etc. Be honest and tell us how good you have it now. I'd probably watch that.

Wow, I must watch a completely different show than most of you because I didn't think Jon was bad at all with the kids. For pete's sake, he is dealing with 6 4 1/2 year olds who are constantly squabbling, crying, poking, etc. They need to be disciplined/yelled at some times. I totally don't get why other people think he is so mean to them??????? I thought the lunch scene was so cute, how they were all sitting there peacefully eating their sandwiches.

I take my son to the same dentist they use. I get such a kick out of seeing Dr. Kristen and the office on TV. I wonder when they were there in November (assuming it was Nov. because of the Thanksgiving decorations)? We were there in November too, but it looks like they shut down the office for them.
I don't think he's bad either. Someone on another site mentioned how he should watch out because the authorities could be watching, in reference to when he took the stick from Alexis and cracked it in half and threw it into the woods. I would've done the same thing. He told her several times to stop hitting the other kids with it, so now you lose it.

I've noticed over the last few episodes that Joel cries at the drop of a hat. Was he the youngest of the tups?

I didn't see anyone complaining about the tractor on GWOP, but I figured they couldn't really say anything. If Jon was wrong, then they agreed with Kate :rotfl:

These are outlet malls NOT AN OUTLET STORES. The majority of the stores are not outlets, they are just regular stores. I have never seen a outlet for BR.

Regular stores can be in outlet malls, you dont live in this state so you dont know.

No I don't live in Pennsylvania, I live in New Jersey and last I checked, the borders weren't closed to us. I've been to many of those outlets I listed on my post. Banana Republic certainly does have outlets in Pennsylvania. Banana Republic Factory Stores are their outlets. The regular BR stores are just called Banana Republic.

the recap can be read here:

Since it's coming from GDNNOP, some might see that as a more credible report. LOL.

Did they get rid of the other helper? (was her name Jenny?) or are they just too far away now that they moved?

I've seen some commentary on the tractor thing .. can't remember where. (I didn't sleep well last night, and as a result, felt like a slug today. I should be cleaning ... but this is more fun :cool1: )

Jon was letting the kids ride on the tractor with him, is that right?

Mixed thoughts on that one. I've known more than one person killed in a tractor rollover .. but known many a kid to be on a tractor with dad and it was fine. I was never a big fan of my kids riding on the tractor at my inlaw's farm, but I'm a city girl .. spent no time on a farm until I met my DH. It just didn't seem like a good idea to me.

Okay, just my opinion but everyone who is trying to sabotage Jon and Kate through Websites, blogs, etc should just give up now. The Gosselins have clearly won! I say this after seeing the house, reading about their life now (the Website listed a few posts before this one) and the fact that they have at least another season, maybe more ahead of them.

I really think it's a waste of time for people to spend all the time they do trashing or defending this family. They are going about their business being quite successful. I think people would be happier in the long run if they spent their time trying to reach THEIR goals and fulfill THEIR dreams, instead of on Websites like GWOP (both creating and posting), on message boards defending the family, etc. I realize I am posting too but I do not run a Website and I don't think I spend THAT much time reading and posting. But I'll admit even a little is probably too much.

Now, excuse me please while I go fold some laundry. :)

Just because you have money doesn't mean you can't be frugal. The more money she saves, the more she can use for fun stuff. I always enjoy a good bargain, and when it comes down to it, I work for fun. I don't need the money, but the more money I make/save, the more I can go on vacation and have fun (will have been to Disney three times in 10 months next month, go to Dallas once every six weeks or so to grocery shop, buy a ridiculous amount of purses ;)).

Did they get rid of the other helper? (was her name Jenny?) or are they just too far away now that they moved?

I haven't heard, but that's probably the case (location).

Someone posted a bit back about wanting to know where a listing a speaking engagements could be found. I was curious to see if they'd be anywhere near me and cannot find a list anywhere - everything I read directs me to the sixgosselins.com (I think that's their site) but I can't find anything there. This is the only thing I found and it's really not that current: http://sixgosselins.blogspot.com/2008/09/in-search-of-gosselins-speaking.html. I'm curious to see why they cancelled so many of their speaking engagements. The one comment below the listing sounds like the church group was pretty ticked off about them cancelling.

MM27, did you watch the episode? (I'm not be snarky - I couldn't tell from your post if you had or not). I am generally pretty supportive of J&K, but when he took that stick away from her, she FLINCHED (big time!) as if she thought he was going to hit her with it. Did anyone else notice this?

Also, on a lighter note, wasn't that the wood-clad, sub-zero, mold-infested fridge in the background when Jon was in the basement searching for coats...?

I saw that too. I even rewound it and paused on it to see if it was the fridge. It looked like just the doors to me :confused3

I am wondering if they just got new stainless doors for the fridge? Can you even do that??? I would bet if the seals on the doors were bad that you could get a mold problem. Not sure why they would still be in the basement though?
