I can't believe they are still using the freaking bibs.

are you serious?! I couldn't stand how Kate was acting in the interview chair last night, so I changed the channel about 5 minutes in .. they're still using the bibs? Why?! Are they still using the high chairs, too?

For those that watched last night, I have 2 questions: did Kate ever get in a better mood in the interview chair? her body language, tone of voice .. it was not even close to pleasant. and it wasn't like in the past, where she and Jon would bicker. Last night, she seemed almost angry in the first segment. Was Jon as grouchy towards the children as I've read he was? I've seen several comments from fans and non-fans that he really was quite harsh towards the kids. If I'd only seen it on GWoP, I'd take it with a grain of salt, but it wasn't.

Wow, I must watch a completely different show than most of you because I didn't think Jon was bad at all with the kids. For pete's sake, he is dealing with 6 4 1/2 year olds who are constantly squabbling, crying, poking, etc. They need to be disciplined/yelled at some times. I totally don't get why other people think he is so mean to them??????? I thought the lunch scene was so cute, how they were all sitting there peacefully eating their sandwiches.

I take my son to the same dentist they use. I get such a kick out of seeing Dr. Kristen and the office on TV. I wonder when they were there in November (assuming it was Nov. because of the Thanksgiving decorations)? We were there in November too, but it looks like they shut down the office for them.

that's why I asked if it really was as bad as I've read... Jon is definitely the grouchier parent. I wasn't sure if it was any worse than a typical day. LOL

These are outlet malls NOT AN OUTLET STORES. The majority of the stores are not outlets, they are just regular stores. I have never seen a outlet for BR.

Regular stores can be in outlet malls, you dont live in this state so you dont know.

State asked to extend care for sextuplets
Kate I. Gosselin says she would be unable to tend to the needs of the six 1-year-olds and their two 4-year-old sisters without the continued help of a nurse.

By Erin Negley
Reading Eagle

Kate I. Gosselin pleaded Thursday for the state Department of Public Welfare to maintain funding for a nurse who helps care for her 1-year-old sextuplets.
Gosselin of Wyomissing fears for the health of her family, which also includes 4-year-old twin daughters, if Medicaid cuts off payments for licensed practical nurse Angie S. Krall.

“She is my other set of medical eyes and ears,” Gosselin told Lisa Neeper, an administrative law judge, during a 90-minute hearing at the State Office Building in Reading.

The hearing was held after Gosselin and her husband, Jonathan K., appealed the Welfare Department's decision to end funding for the nurse.

The state wants to replace Krall with a home-health aide who would help care for the children part time for one month. The Gosselins then would be on their own.

Neeper said she would rule on the appeal by late July.

Kate Gosselin, who attended the hearing with her eight children and Krall, argued the family's case, while a medical consultant and caseworker appeared for the state.

The Welfare Department would not release names of the consultant or caseworker. The Reading Eagle was allowed to attend the hearing only because the Gosselins gave their approval.

Kate Gosselin is a registered nurse. But she said she's too busy caring for the sextuplets and twins and running a household to spend enough time with each child to spot all of their individual needs.

Jonathan Gosselin works in Harrisburg and is gone 12 hours a day.

Kate Gosselin wiped tears while saying that Krall has noticed diaper rashes, fevers and even pneumonia in the children.

If the switch to a home-health aide is made, Kate Gosselin fears she would need a long time to find the right worker.

In the meantime, she said, “It's me with eight children, which is not fair.”

Because the sextuplets were born about nine weeks early, Medicaid paid for Krall to spend 30 hours a week at the Gosselins' Wyomissing home.

The funding period ended April 30, but Krall will continue to assist the family until Neeper rules on the appeal.

The amount Medicaid has paid was unavailable, but Kate Gosselin has said it would cost about $25,000 to pay for Krall's services for another year.

The state's medical consultant testified that Krall bathes and feeds the infants, changes diapers and cleans their surroundings. A daily vitamin is the only medicine the infants take.

“I could find no medical need to have a skilled nurse in the house,” he said. “What the Gosselins need is someone to stay with mom and dad.”

While two of the sextuplets, Collin and Alexis, receive physical therapy through Easter Seals, the four other babies are progressing normally, the consultant said.

“My heart goes out to the Gosselins because I'm a father of three, but the medical necessity is lacking here,” he said. “What is needed are child-care workers.”

If the Gosselins don't agree with Neeper's ruling, they could appeal to Commonwealth Court or to the Department of Public Welfare secretary, said Thomas E. Cheffins, department director for the bureau of hearings and appeals.

Yep, bibs and high chairs!! You know I normally like Kate, but she bugged me to death last night in the chair...she looked like she was in a really bad mood and just wanted to be a witch.

OK. when I complained about the high chairs before, people said it was because they didn't have enough room at the table in the old kitchen or something ..

Can't use that excuse anymore.

Those kids are 4 years old. They have good table manners. No need for bibs or high chairs.

Ok well come to Pa. and see for yourself. They sell regular price clothes. Gap has an outlet. The majority of the stores in theses outlets are like a regular store in a regular mall. Anyone else from Pa.? You are from Kentucky, have you been to Pa. and seen an outlet?

There are very few true outlets in PA anymore. Most of the "outlet malls" just have regular stores in them.

Yeah, Madge...you're from Kentucky, you have no idea!!!!

Kate never lightened up last night. I thought it was because the attention was not on her, but my DH (who used to travel a lot for work) said he thought she was probably just tired from travel and felt "out of it" from being on the road so much.

I about died when they brought the bibs out last night! I have said this before, but my DD who is 2 years younger than the "six" (almost exactly, one day apart) hasn't worn a bib in over 6 months. She stopped around her 2nd birthday, which I know is early, but her friends at playgroup, all within 6 months of each other don't wear bibs either.

I think Jon gets frustated easier. He gets rough with the kids instead of yelling like Kate.

I wonder why they aren't going to show the Nanny on TV? I wonder if it is *her* choice or the producers, i.e. Jon and Kate, want to make it look like they do it all themselves?

No .. but I've shopped at BR Factory Outlet stores in Maryland, Indiana, Florida, Tennessee, and Ohio. The outlet malls in Pennsylvania must be the only ones in America that have full-priced BR stores and not Factory Stores.

Maybe I'll contact my friend that used to work for Banana Republic's distribution center and see what he's got to say.

Gap Outlet stores are not the same as Gap stores. They carry past season and outlet specific merchandise.

I just shopped at a BR Outlet on Saturday. They are about half price as the regular BR.

Using the Banana Republic store finder, clicking on all there are 38 BR stores in Pennsylvania .. clicking on Factory Stores, there are 7 stores listed.

To be honest no they are not. I like the new ones they built in Limerick, PA.
But Lancater and Reading outlets are nothing great.
Is the outlet in Maryland at the beach? We do enjoy the outlets down there much more. I have to check that out in the summer.
Thanks!:goodvibes

Agreed, it's ridiculous!
