they don't now. they did before, IMO.
I still believe the basis for this particular episode was a direct result of blog research ... which is damage control in my book.
I just don't get the point of calling them out for doing good. Maybe their good deeds are now publicized as a result of the cries of the masses, but they're good deeds none the less. Why try to make it less than what it is? Does anyone really do completely selfless, altruistic deeds? You'd never know, I suppose, because that person would never tell you.
