I'm pretty sure there is an income phaseout for the child tax credit. They'll still get the personal exemptions for each kid, but I doubt they are eligible for the credit anymore.

You know how Jon and Kate are getting these two german shephard puppies in the next episode? (or the one after that?)

Has anyone heard that they have already in real life gotten rid of them because Kate couldn't deal with the mess? I've read that in more than one place.

I can't imagine having eight kids and two pups. Pups are a lot of work! (and yes, so are kids)

I didn't read all the posts from today so sorry if this was already mentioned, but I was reading at the JK8forum and word is over there that the puppies have already been cut out of the show. They are saying that allergies will be the reason that we will be given.

Very sad if that's the case. To contrive a fridge cleaning or 4 year olds painting a room for the sake of an episode is one thing, but if they got puppies for the sake of an episode or two, that is terrible. Can't imagine how the twins would feel. They must have been thrilled when they got the dogs. I read they have an upcoming episode about going to visit the puppies in the country? Aren't they living on lots of acreage? How strange. I would have ditched the puppy episodes totally if I had to give them up.
We have three cats, two dogs, two Guinea Pigs, and a toad, so yes we are pet people.

I heard they get the puppies.

After Kate decides they are too messy and too much work, they give them away to another family who lives in the country. Then they do take their kids to visit them.

Yes, I also heard they didn't think the real reason for getting rid of them would fly with viewers so they will say "allergies".

Never heard anything about allergies when the kids were with dogs before........was that at Jodi's house or Beth's? where the dogs were?

watching the Whirlpool commercial, I mean, Home Sweet Home episode ..

I haven't watched the last shows, so I don't know what the kids have been wearing lately. But I haven't seen them in new line Gymboree in several episodes. I think the last time they were wearing anything recent was in the giving back trip to Memphis. That was a recent line they had on. Maybe their agreement with Gymboree has ended? It would make sense for the bigger girls, anyway. Mady & Cara are getting too old for Gymbo.

Just an observation.

Beth had dogs. And I think at one time or anther all of the little kids have stayed at her house overnight. Maybe it's Kate with the allergies. I think it's horrible if they really did get rid of them. I guess in the long run it's better for the dogs to be with a family that really wants them and can take care of them, but to give kids two puppies and then a couple or days, weeks or whatever to pull them away, is mean.

I looked at Jon and Kate's website. And if you click on "contact us" at the bottom, they give 3 email addresses (varies by what topic you want to email about)

and they are all xxxxx@sixgosselins.com

why six? why not eight? or ten?

so their family emails goes to SIX?

wonder how that makes Cara and Maddie feel?

I can't wait to see as M & C get older if they are allowed to pick out their own clothes from the store and what they will choose. (I secretly hope they get to be individuals and wear whatever they like.)

Ooh good point. Forgot about that. Yes I am sure their income well exceeds the limit for the CTC.

Very interesting interview, thanks for sharing. Just goes to show you there is someone for everyone out there. I had a good friend very similar to Kate personality-wise and she is married to someone very much like Jon. Actually I was recently Jody'ed from her life LOL

The funny thing is, she hated the show...probably too much like looking in the mirror!

Apparently, Jon's alleged mishap has turned up on a blog called ohnotheydidnt, and who knows how many others?!

One thing I did not know is there are 2 huge message board threads that go almost hand in hand with GWOP. One is at CafeMom and the other is at BabyCenter. Lots of rumor and suggestion there. I've also learned of a board/thread on Craigslist. LOL. Amazing.

Interesting to see how this all plays out ....

And new friends, as you can tell, I enjoy reading about the Gosselins .. I'm not a lover like some here Any links you can share? Sources to back up your stories? I have a blog where I write about JK8 from time to time. I'm always looking for new material!

Actually I know for a fact that the Cafemom board is NOT friends with GWoP as the owner was caught plagerizing all of GWoPs material as well as Julies.
And the Babycenter board is a FAN board. Try again Madge.

I just don't get your alls animosity towards GWoP when if you say they are so bad why haven't they posted anything about the Jon drinking stories yet? I mean you should see all the stuff they CAN'T post.
Is it possible that they are a better more responsible blog than you give them credit for?

The problem here is in fact a glowing example of why Julie named her blog "TRUTH BREEDS HATRED". And exposing the TRUTH about the Gosselins has in fact bred considerable hatred, because most people do not want to feel embarrassed or shamed by their own emotions. They don't want to believe that they were snowed by someone. They want to believe that the Gosselins are great people. Did you know that the Dionnes tragedy happened during a depression too? The fans seem to need an escape and the Gosselins fill that hole, but because we as a nation have been so dumbed down they also tend to no longer look at things with a discerning eye anymore.

The fans want to believe the good and that is nice and all but when there is this much well researched evidence and nasty behavior from 2 people that goes back well before the TV show was thought of, then it's time to stop making excuses and look at the truth.

And trashing GWOP, Julie and Jodi, Paul Peterson and anyone else who tells the truth isn't getting to the core issues.

Like why Kate doesn't have any friends or family, why she doesn't seem to like the boys, why Kate isn't like other Moms, how she can take thousands and thousands from people at churches while making millions. Why Kate hasn't cooked, cleaned, organized, played with or watched her kids for years yet the fans still think shes Supermom.

Let us talk about those issues and not bash me, nor call people trolls nor bash Julie or Jodi or GWoP or anyone else who sees things with open eyes.

Lets talk about the issues!

Like, If indeed Jon is out drinking every night, like many sources say. Then who is home with the children? The Vietnamese nanny? I mean Kate is never home and sad to say when she is, they have to film so she isn't having any quiet private time with the children she wanted so badly.

So YOUR first thought as a fan should be WHO IS WATCHING THE KIDS?
And when do they get any quiet emotionally necessary time with their own mother?

If you truly care about all thes cute adorable children YOU should be the ones asking these questions, no one else.

But you don't ask these questions because you just want the cute little show to go on and on and the big fantasy to go on so you don't have to think of the bad economy, the iraqi war or bad things.

that is true. but it was extremely short-lived, for whatever reason... not that I blame Jodi/Julie. That whole blog/video deal was a disaster from the start. I am still inclined to believe the information posted on Julie's blog, as well as Jodi's video ... but, Lord.. so much drama. SO much drama. LOL.

I've wondered if Kate & Jodi mended fences, or if things are still tense. And I've also wondered what would have happened if Julie continued to blog, although there would be nothing to blog if Jodi wasn't involved in Kate's life anymore ...

No, Kate doesn't "Mend Fences".

After Julies Blog was featured on CNN, it created a lot of issues for her in her community. So she had it taken down.

In a stupid blog that for the most part only "anti Kate" people knew about at first. I totally lost all respect for her during that video. Everything that was said could have been true, BUT that was not the way to put it out there.

And for the record, I still think she was crazy for giving 3 year old's gum!

Actually Kate gave them gum all the time. BUT they had create an episode to make Jodi look bad so they could do away with her. Kate ws very very jealous of Jodi and that was the real reason Kate got rid of Jodi.
