Jon and Kate non bash post

I just caught the last half of the show when Jon took the boys and 1 of the twins to see the Phillies. I did not hear why they all didn't go. Does anyone know?

If I remember right, it was something the boys were getting to do with Jon and Cara likes sports as well. Mady and Kate didn't go because they don't like sports.

Thanks. I'm not sure how much the boys liked the game but they sure liked the Phanatic. I do too. Plus they got to meet my favorite player.

that is one thing you'll never hear me comment on ... because Kate looks 10 times better in a bikini than I do! When I saw her in person in March, I did think she looked very thin... I mean, she was skinny, and that was with her wearing a jacket. I thought the bikini body was pretty good, actually.

I agree, and in all honesty, I'm sure many ppl. could speculate that because she lost so much weight, relatively fast, that she may have a problem ect. Who knows, but either way, why would you talk like that about someone, especially when really it's not like she's overweight by any means, and I agree, she looks much better than I would in that, and really if she's fine with it, who cares? I just think it sends a really bad message when ppl. make snarky comments about those kinds of things, especially for kids ect.

And just so you know, I don't think I've ever thought any of your comments having been "Kate or Jon bashing" on the other threads. Honestly, you're the main reason I still wander over though, because you always have the info.

Like I said, I don't agree with everything they do, and there is a lot lately that I've questioned, but some comments have just been over the top.

that's very sweet of you to say I'm not (nor have I ever been) a big fan of Kate's, so I don't know that I'll be on this thread long... but I can muster up a nice thing or two to say about her every now and then. LOL

sadly, I have way too much time on my hands, sometimes... but I like searching for the facts. And the funny thing is, after I saw Kate in March, I was pretty much done with the whole thing. Then all the scandals started, and I got sucked right back in to all the drama. LOL. And I do enjoy the other thread .. I've enjoyed getting to know the people there.

I totally agree -- and it's true for both sides. It's amazing how passionately people react, sometimes.

I agree with your comment referring to madge - she's a great source of information!

It amazes me how much this show is able to bring out people's thoughts/feelings/beliefs and how strongly everyone feels about them.

This sounds like a nice change of pace.

I find the CB quite boring these days so I ended up reading and posting to the other thread. Honestly, too much JK8 in my life right now and I need to get off the computer and do some other things. But it will be nice to have a place to come to if this takes off. I don't see Kate as the monster that so many do.I realize they put themselves out there but I also think personal responsibility says just 'cause they've put it out there doesn't mean one needs to rip them up. Sorta the old saying from Bambi I guess!

I hope this doesnt come across as bashing, because it's not. I have just started to accept it for what it is. It's reality TV. It didnt start that way, but that's what J&K have turned into. I have no problem with it, and I really am enjoying it now. The one thing I do find funny is them basically jabbing at the press and such. I laughed my butt off this last week on the motorcycle show when Jon said something about not having many guy friends, and he looked right at the camera and said , "but we all know that already dont we?" and laughed. Or when Mikey and Kate were at the spa gettting a pedi, and Mikey asked for a copy of "US weekly" and Kate about died laughing..

So does anyone want to take any guesses as to what the big announcement is??? I finally saw the commercial last night, and it does look sad and not good news, but of course TLC wants ratings. To me, the commercial makes it look like they may be seperating (I hope not, for the kids sake) but that could all just to have us tune in. Any other guesses/thoughts?


Also, on the tv guide listing it's not showing an hr. special, it's still showing a 1/2 hr. mother's day episode, and then a rerun.

I still haven't seen the commercial, only heard about it here and there .. did they show Jon and Kate on the couch together? Jon was at the house at least one day this week, I'm wondering if they filmed something then?

Count me in! I think J&K are two people who have lost their way, kind of like a lot of couples, they just have to live this out in the public eye. I certainly think they love their kids, and hope that the announcement is that they're taking time out of te spotlight to restore their family.

Wow, that doesn't sound very promising. I thought Monday show was going to be the play houses. So how that show been scrapped and doing this new one instead?

I am guessing that they are announcing they are getting a divorce. I am sure they have been seperated for a while now, maybe trying to work things out, maybe not. From what I have seen, it looks like Jon has totally checked out of the marriage and there is no turning back.

Maybe they did not want to deal with this issue on the show until they knew what was going on with their relationship. Then Jon got busted and it started to spin out of control.

Maybe they will take a break from the show for a while.

Wow, that commercial certainly doesn't look good. I have a feeling it might be divorce too, but I sure hope not. I really think I hate TLC for capitalizing on this situation.

I HOPE the announcment is that the show is ending so that they can focus on the family and their marriage. Jon has been unhappy with the spotlight (although he loves the freebies) and there is no way their marriage can survive if they continue with their show, IMO.

I thought when the guys from the chopper show came it was a cute show. Mickey was so good with the kids. I was really shocked Kate went on the bike LOL she seemed like she had a great time

Yes, I think they would. JMO I think Kate is very honest in her feelings I think Jon would also say that. I think Jon actions does he talking for him
