I haven't had the opportunity to go to the JHC yet, but it's on my list for our next trip. Couple of questions: has anyone had the quiche there? I'm particularly interested in the ham & cheese variety. Also, is the "toasted cheese" sandwich served hot, and is the cheese actually melty? I had read a review shortly after they opened saying that the sandwich tasted like it had been sitting around for a while, and the cheese was kind of hard. Just wondering if they've worked out the kinks with that.

Ours have been served hot(maybe we were lucky?), but plenty of others have complained that theirs were cold. The cheese was definitely melty and good!

I think it depends on how busy it is when you go, whether your food is really hot, or just luke-warm(in our experience)--we try only to go when we see no line coming out the doors. It can get pretty crazy in there.

It is a fun place to try, and we love sitting on the patio and people watching as we eat!
