Johnny Depp is in Disney World

So i just found out that not only is Johnny Depp in Disney World this week but he'll be appearing daily in full regalia as Capt Jack Sparrow during Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. I've been told he'll be in the parade but knowing him i wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he freelanced throughout the park. The kicker is it hasn't been advertised so most guests wouldn't suspect that it was actually him.

Plus, I wouldn't believe that he'd freelance through the park. Whenever other celebrities are there, they're surrounded by security or CM's.

I can believe it in general -- it's the kind of gag I can see him doing, as he's had some fun with the costume in the past.

The part I don't believe -- and therefore makes the whole thing unbelievable, IMO -- is the "appearing daily."

My information doesn't come from a link, but rather a family member that works for the parks. If you recall he appeared as Sparrow at the first D23 event unannounced. And then there was that time last Oct when a 9-year-old London girl who invited him via a letter to come visit her school, that prompted him to in fact go visit her school in full costume. And nobody knew about it but the kids and school officials.

kirrby, Johnny Depp is not your typical celebrity. The freelancing is speculation on my part, but based on what I know I wouldn't put it past him. When an actor gets into character as he'll be during the event there has to be interaction and improvisation to get from point A to B. They don't switch on and off while they're on stage. Celebrities that visit the park as tourists are secretive and private for the most part, and understandably so. But he'll be there on the job. The part about him being in the parade(s) this week, as far as my niece has been told, is spot on.

He has been known to dress in full costume and do the parade and a few appearances, but never just roamed the park. He does usually do at least one Mnsshp parade each year, usually very close to, if not on Halloween night.

I can't imagine Disney World allowing a star of his status roaming around the park. Can you imagine the chaos that would create? WDW would be dealing with a mob. I just don't see them setting themselves up for that. The security involved would be off the charts. That's just my opinion. But for those of you who would be fortunate to see him in a parade or a meet and greet of some kind - LUCKY YOU! I am jealous.

When I went to the pirates and princess party in 2007 - the Jack Sparrow I meet was so spot on - I would believe in an instant that he was Johnny Depp.
