John Lithgow is a fabulous villain in Dexter!!!

Wow just WOW can John Lithgow act. He is such an evil person in the show. So delicious.
I love the Showtime series Dexter and the books. This season I think is the best as the acting is incredible.

I agree! When I first saw him on there I was really skeptical, but as time went by I really warmed to his dark side. He's doing a fantastic job!

Oh and best scene of the season: Dexter loses it completely and drags Arthur off his son into the kitchen!!! DH and I were yelling at the TV and sitting on the edge of our seats. And then who the reporter turns out to be!

I don't want to give any major spoilers so that's all I'm saying, but DANG! This is the best season.

We had this exact conversation last night after watching the Tgiving espisode! We're a week behind (thank goodness for Showtime OnDemand) and may start going even slower now that we only have 3 left. It's going to be a loooong Dexterless season when it ends!

These writers are among the best on tv, don't you think? And I totally agree with OP, John Lithgow is amazing and way creepy.

I had never seen the show before this summer....I watched the whole series on Showtime on Demand and am hooked....can't believe there's only two more episodes...seems like it just started.

Lithgow is amazing. This is definitely one of his best roles. I'll never be able to watch Harry and the Hendersons the same way. Kinda like seeing Robin Williams after One Hour Photo.

Thinking back the season/series cliffhangers, season 4 finale of Dexter is by far the greatest cliffhanger ever. I mean to me, its up there with Bobby Ewing being alive on Dallas! You just dont forget that kind of writing! Amazing show!
