As the democrats are gearing up to see who will get the nomination of their party, let it not be said that this Republican didn't notice something that may indeed enhance John Edwards as a candidate. I do think that he had that mole removed from his lip. Could that be so?

He had a mole? I never noticed.

But maybe he had it removed because moles can be dangerous. I have that problem myself.

It was on the edge of his upper lip. I think any mole that gets that much sun exposure is better coming off.

Yes, I read somewhere that it had grown and doctors were concerned about it being cancerous. It was benign. He didn't have it removed for cosmetic reasons. I would not vote for him, but I think he is a nice person. I think it's ridiculous if anyone would consider him more "attractive" in the sense that they would be more impressed by him as a candidate based on that.:confused3

Sorry Dawn, why is this a "major" observation? :confused3 I never even noticed a mole before.

I think he had removed also. In the past it always caught my attention when he was speaking.

During the last election Don Imus was teasing him during an interview and told him to get rid of that mole. He continued on in the way that only Imus can and said that it was "too distracting" and that is all he could see when he was talking, etc. In fact, each time Edwards' name came up, Imus seemed to mention that mole. After all of that, who could help noticing it. ;)

True enough and I'm not saying it wasn't noticeable or that people shouldn't have noticed it, but I just think it's sad that some people would be so shallow to let it factor into how they would judge him as a potential candidate. Unfortunately there probably are actually people that would consider something like that. Oh and who the hell is Don "corpse" Imus to talk about how people look??:lmao:

Any attention Edwards gets at this point should be welcomed by the people in his camp.

The only thing that I noticed is that John Edwards is leading in the Zogby poll for Iowa. John Edwards has a good organization on the ground in Iowa. The other thing that I have noticed is that addition of Nevada as an early caucus state should be a big help for John Edwards. Senator Reid got Nevada moved up in the Democratic nomination process and that move should be a help to John Edwards.

I like John Edwards. I voted for him in the last presidential primary. :rolleyes1

I'm glad to know you weren't concerned with anything trivial like issues.

WTH? Thank GOD he doesn't lean over his grocery cart.:sad2:

I'd vote for him with or without the mole. With everything going on in the world right now I really think the removal of someone's mole is the least of our worries.
