Joe the plumber

I went looking after I read your post and posted...and found a ton myself, thank you so much!! :flower3:

No problem. :) Yep, google is great! Just put her name and part of her quote and BAM, lots of links! I need to do the quote from the second part of Becks video.

Shhhhhhh. Let them attack this working class guy who puts in 10 to 12 hours a day. I want the dems to just keep attacking and attacking and attacking. Rip him to shreads. Really let him have it good. Let's show America what happens when a middle class worker stands up to the Big O. This is something they really need to see.

I am not attacking but :rotfl: at McCain not checking his facts before he used the guy as an example. I read that according to his 2006 tax records that he made $40,000 for the year. I don't think his taxes will be going up do you?

Exactly! Another person thrown under the bus at the hands of Mccain and Palin. But at least time it wasn't one of Palin's kids. :headache:

Does it REALLY matter if it is Joe the Plumber, or Mary the Beautician, or Tom the technician. The point is, Obama wants to take their money and redistribute it to those that did NOT earn it! THAT is the point. Good grief.

A government could impose taxes with the purpose of, say, paying expenses, maybe? Or had that thought not occurred to you?

Paying expenses like, say, sinking $250 billion in taxpayer dollars into nationalizing the American banking industry?

Don't look now, but President Bush, with the approval of Sen. McCain and Sen. Obama just did so, and I can't seem to find one "conservative" on these boards who gives a damn. Maybe that's what they mean when they say we need to come up with bipartisan solutions to our problems?

McCain's new campaign slogan: It's only socialism if the Democrats hold the Presidency...

Diogenes, your search is over. ;) I may not have been the most visible conservative around the DIS lately (pesky real life :goodvibes ), but I'll step right up and tell you I think that whole deal stinks.

.

Do yourself a favor, turn on one of the financial networks for a few days, you'll understand a bit better. (I know I did)

Not a one? I think you've got selective memory loss, or something.

I'm sick over the bailout - I think it takes us one step further down the road to socialism. And I'm even sicker that we were put in this financial crisis through government meddling. And that no one seems to give a damn about that

Thank GOD!!!!! :thumbsup2

I've been talking about it all week, haven't gotten a single bite, and just when I'm about to give up, I finally get a couple of you guys to talk about it. Thank you for not being the Bush apologists I hoped you weren't! Zippa and Bet win best "true conservatives" of the day"!!! :worship: ;)

Oh I get it just fine. It's just that I'm not the one posting panicked hyperbole about Sen. Obama socialistic tendencies while President Bush signs legislation nationalizing our banking system. I'm simply looking for a little bit of consistency.

How do you feel about the bailout plan? For it? Against it?

Heh, you can add me to the list. I am disgusted over the bailout because it does drag us further down the road to being a Socialist country. Both of my Senators voted for it, but thankfully my true conservative Congressman had the guts to vote "No" both times. I sent I don't know how many emails to their offices, my family called them repeatedly and ran up our phone bill. The list goes on.

That was a prime example of why President Bush is not a real conservative. He is on some issues yes, but overall he is definitely not a conservative IMO. And voting for the bailout is more proof to me that McCain is no conservative either. I think both candidates have Socialist plans. McCain simply has less than Obama, so I am stuck voting for him. As a conservative, this election stinks to high Heaven for me. :sad2:
