Joe and Jennifer's DCL Vow Renewal PJ/TR~ CEREMONY FINALLY!!!

Your Flip Flops look great!!!

Those sandals look so great...:thumbsup2

Thanks!! It was actually fun to do!! You know, i did absolutely NOTHING like this for our wedding! no centerpieces, no cute little crafty things, nothing. Our favors were wedding scrolls, so all i had to do was slip a ring on them! :lmao: This is so much better than that!!

I had the opposite problem..all the shoes that were bridal looked ivory against my white dress...i had the worst time!

what flowers are you going to use??

My niece got married this weekend and if it wouldn't make Cathy crazy, i would change mine..she had white and jade and ice pink roses...it was so pretty!!

Oh man i have SOOOO many different ideas for what flowers i want. What i'm thinking i REALLY want is Roses, Calla Lilly's and Tulips, in varying shades of pink and ivory.

Now, i have no idea if Disney florist can do that for the cruise, or how $$$ it's goingto be.:lmao:

Another choice is the big full bouquet of pink and ivory roses.

i like this one, have them add some mickey crystals to it!!

I like this one too, just Calla Lily's and Roses

And this is another choice! How beautiful are these flowers!!!

Now like i said, i have no idea what Disney Floral offers for DCL, and how much these will cost for a december ceremony. We'll just have to wait about another 14-16 months to see. :lmao:

Jennifer -- your flip flops came out GREAT!! Wow! That looks like a lot of work but definitely worthwhile. The colors in your sand ceremony are so pretty together. :thumbsup2

Now i really have to check my shoes and dress out! :lmao:

It was a bit tedious at times, like when my tweezers got coverd in the glue and i couldn't get the darn crystals to come off them! :lmao: And of course, realizing that the ribbon won't stick with the jewel glue and figuring I need to buy MORE stuff for this project. oh well, 17 1/2 months to go! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the info on the jewel glue and the size crystals you used. I was looking in Michaels this past Sunday and saw that glue but was not sure. Now I will go and purchase it.

Linda

jennifer - i wish this came out as pretty as it was in person....but I held this bouquet and it was soooo heavy! My other niece is holding it in this pic..

OH I loveeeeeee your flowers. The second bouquet is similar to mine but I have to say I love the first!!!! Pretty colors and I love Calla Lillies!!! Even the tulips are great! I wanted tulips for mine but they were out of season :(

Yeah, with the ceremony being in December, i'm worried the tulips will be out of season too, and having to import them from Holland or wherever will be $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

The flip flops looked great! Cute Mickey heads!

Whoever asked about the glue used to glue them on - if you can't find jewel glue I used "E6000" glue. It works wonders for stuff like this and dries faster than jewel glue. It's flexible, waterproof, non-flammable and paintable. I just happened to have bought it at the bead store where I got the rhinestones for my DCL shoes.

Anyway....jewel glue may be easier to find but I just wanted to shout out another option.

Jenn,

Things look great here! THIS SITE has ivory flips in various heights. You might want to take a peek there.

I think I may go with ivory as well. I think white with the deep red dress will look out of place, especially in November. :rotfl2:

:faint: What was I thinking!! I can't wear white shoes in December!! OMG Major Fashion Faux Paux!! ;) ;)

Thanks for the link! I 'll check out the shoes!!

The Mickey flip flops turned out great. I understand the frustration with gluing on crystals for the Mickey heads; we did that for all our placecards, but thankfully the crystals were a little bigger :rotfl:

I am just now getting caught up on our PJ!!!Oh what a treat it is!!! You have some great ideas. I look forward to hearing more. How exciting!!! :mickeyjum

My brother finally booked his cabin!!  So that makes 5 cabins, and that should be the end of it! (unless my co-worker makes up her mind).

DH and I had talked about paying for his parents to come with us, but I don't think he ever got around to asking them. I'm pretty sure his dad would have been offended by the gesture, but at the same time, my entire family is coming, and no one from his side is. Dh says i'm not allowed to mention the trip at all in front of them, or atlest not tell them my whole family is coming!! :sad2: Obviously they'll figure it out when they see all the pictures! And I'm sure dd will be talking about it soon, because as soon as she finds out her cousins are coming, she's going to be so excited about it!!

Ok, i have to put out a tiny little vent here about DCL. My brother's wife is pg right now with their 3rd child, due in Oct. So, when he went to book he put in 5 people in the cabin, even thought the 5th will be an infant in a crib. But DCL won't allow him to book the same category as everyone else, he has to upgrade to a Cat 4, and be 2 decks up and on the opposite end of the ship from everyone else!! I'm so bummed!!! The only way we could have arranged it, was to "on paper" put the baby in my girlfriends cabin, because everyone else already has 4 booked. But SIL felt a little weird about that so they had to pay more than everyone else, and be on a different deck. I feel really bad about it too.

Congrats on having everyone booked. Thats is exciting! :cool1: I understand about your DH family(my Dh family -at least some- are the same way, though some are coming).

YAY! And you didn't think anyone was coming! You are going to have a great time. I don't see why you can't invite your DH family? Didn't they get a Save the Date?

you don't have to pay more...infants only pay port charges
If your friend is already in a cabin and you add the baby..it shouldn't be more than moving up a catagory
