I just read all 30 pages of your PJ All of your plans look so exciting! I abs love your invites and the save the dates. I wish I were talented enough to do something like that. I think its so great that your group is just the right size for the little Palo room. I am sooo fearful that they aren't going to be able to do a reception for us and we are going to have to move to WDW.

We went through the same sort of thing with the cake - because we don't really like the typical cake. I am hoping they can just go a plain butter cream cake and that we can take one of the white chocolate castle cake toppers and cover it in brown sugar for a sand castle cake.

I am very curious about all of the little details and extras - can't wait to read about them.

the cake issue!! Every time i think about it it just drives me nuts!! This is supposed to be a relaxing happy event since the 1st one was so stressful....yet that dang cake is going to drive me over the edge!! They were able to give Escape brides an option, seriously, I know the pasty chefs onboard are not THAT inexperienced when it comes to decorating! They carve animals out of watermelon rindes! They should be able to cut out fondant circles!

So let's see.....um.....nothing really to report!

I put a huge payment on the cruise last week so i won't be buying any more stuff for a while! We did get a shirt for DH to wear but we are working on pants for him now, and need to find a matching outfit for DS to wear too! MIL finally finished the demo bag, and we have now moved onto another type of bag, like the over the shoulder duffle bag type. she thinks that may be easier to do so we'll see about that.

Otherwise....we are just in limbo until i save up more money!

Since I assume its going to be a relatively small cake, could you have it made at WDW first and then just transported and stored on the boat? I watch Ace of Cakes and other cake shows quite a bit. To me it sounded like the fondant keeps all of the moisture in the cake. If it were refrigerated properly I would think it would last 3 days.. I think a lot of times for really really fancy cakes it takes 3 days to make and decorate them.

My theory is that if DCL is willing to store your flowers for you for 3 days they would probably be willing to store a cake too - especially if it met that they didn't have to make it!

ok, i have quite a few updates to make!!

i'm wondering about my shoes again. I have 2 pairs right now.

1- my Mickey Flip Flops that i'm planing on wearing from the ship to the beach. I'll go barefoot once we hit the sand.

2- my "formal" bridal sandals that i'm planning on wearing in Palo for dinner and around the ship at night.

Now i'm thinking i want something "flashy"-ier. :lol2: I keep seeing everyones killer pink heals and I know as tall as I am, i still look awesome in heals. I SO WANT A PAIR!! I never get to wear heals anymore, i wear blue jeans to work on a daily basis.

So now i'm thinking about wearing my mickey flip flops just around the cabin and ship, wearing my Bridal Sandals down to the beach, but getting a pair of Pink ones for the evening. This could be a once in a lifetime opportunity to rock out a pair of killer heals like that! Indiana girls just don't normally wear PINK SHOES!! I have to look at my bridal shoes again, because i can't remember if there is a strap on them. I'd hate to have to bend over and undo my strap after getting off the trolley before i walk on the sand.

these are my bridal sandals.

The shoes do have straps. So if i were to wear them off the ship down to the beach....i'd have to bend over and unstrap them before walking in the sand. I just don't see me bending over in my dress to try and remove the shoes. so i guess now i'm back to the mickey flip flops down to the beach, and those shoes in the evening.

FINALLY!! The Sand Ceremony Kit has arrived!!!

I'm very happy with it! The vases look good, and the main vase is plenty big enought, the etching looks nice and it has a lid! Very important to have a lid! And a good price too! Only $25 for the 1 big vase and 2 pouring vased. not bad at all!


Now...this was my trial color run....it has everyone's birthstone color in it. Joe is Emerald for May, Jackie is lime green Peridot for August, i'm Sapphire Blue for September, and Joey is Amythest for Feb.

Using everyone's birthstone color was a really cool idea, and it does look good....but it's just so bright!! And my color scheme is not bright at all! :lol2: It's a rather pale pink and ivory. So as much as i like the way it looks....i think i'm going to go for different colors. Trying to figure out if I want to do Pinks and Whites/Ivorys or Pinks and Blues.


Ok, now for the bag. we redid the bag, now with an over the shoulder type duffle bag. I think it came out really nice!!

So that's it! Finally! We are going to make the pink writing just a tiny bit darker, using the same color as inside Tramp's Ears.

That's too bad you can't get the super cute pink shoes; I would have been totally jealous. I have wider feet, so I never fit in any of the really cute shoes.

The sand ceremony set is really nice. I agree the lid was a must-have for me too. I didn't even think of birthstone colors; that is very creative. Although, I'm in August too and I'm not a fan of peridot.

I agree with the bag; the embroidery turned out really cute and the darker pink will make it perfect!

Just a few updates......

DFTW Coordinator for DCL was an unfortunate victim of the layoff's last week, so i now have a new planner/coordinator. Seems that even Disney isn't immune to the recession. And i have to say that they way they handled this "change" was really crappy! Having to find out from a message board about your coordinator being laid off and getting a new one was quite a kick in the gut!


Anywhoooo.....

The flower girl basket i originally order has been discountinued so now i'm back to square one with that. still trying to find something that is basic and plain....nothing to fru-fru for a change.

Ever since I got this idea in my head I'm like a woman obsessed! I bought Carrie's book and I am actually thinking of subscribing to Bride magazine, you know, just for dress and flower ideas, but my DH thinks that might be over the top

I just booked the Epcot Bridal Shoot for 12/8!! I'm so excited!!

THe only bummer part to this is that we are doing WDW before the cruise, so DH is going to get the whole WOW affect before the VR. It's not that big of a deal, as the dress is hanging in my closet and he's seen a pic of it. But maybe i'll look better this time because i'm going to have someone come do my hair and make up before the shoot! So i may look better than i will on the ship!

OOooohhhh! I need to find a bouquet for the shoot too!!
