that is a highly controversial subject!

i've been told the SHAPE of the mad hatter is a definate NO, but the design with colors and hearts and mickey heads MAYBE an option, but it can't be decided until closer to sailing when your pasty chef is available. As for the other two, i figured if the mad hatter is a no-go, than those two are the easiest designs i found, so hopefully those may be an option. it's all still very up in the air.

I keep hoping that I can at least get some hidden mickey heads, but everytime I've asked, I get a flat out no! I was told that I can only choose one of the two options. How hard could it be to put mickey heads on a cake?
I also don't even know what date my actual VR is on. I've email Cathy a couple of times and have gotten no response. Should I email her again? I know she's a busy lady and all, but I want to know my date! LOL!!

Well my thing is that I HATE icing flowers and all the piping on the edges of the cakes!

I would seriously be happy if they just iced it all one color, not white, and maybe put some ribbon on it or something. Though I would prefer some kind of design. Heck let me and my mom go decorate it, we'll bring our own supplies!

Is it bad that I haven't spoken to Cathy since I booked the wedding? Am I supposed to put in these requests for things before I return the packet she e-mailed me?

She did tell me that the wedding would be on Thursday, one of our sea days.

Cathy really has very little to do with any of us DCL brides until about 3 months before the sailing. I hate that, but i guess that's the way it's done for DCL. Completely different from DFTW on land. Whatever.

I would take notes of everything you want, includeing the basic easy cake design, and add it to your planning kit. Hopefully as you get closer to the sailing date and are actually in contact with Cathy, you'll get better answers. Seems lately i've seen a lot of us DCL brides that are pretty unhappy with the cake situation. It's a shame really.

Throwing some pixie dust your way...the design and colors seem pretty simple. How hard would it be to cut out fondont circles? That Mad Hatter cake is my favorite too!

BTW...love the ears!

I just read all 30 pages of your PJ All of your plans look so exciting! I abs love your invites and the save the dates. I wish I were talented enough to do something like that. I think its so great that your group is just the right size for the little Palo room. I am sooo fearful that they aren't going to be able to do a reception for us and we are going to have to move to WDW.

We went through the same sort of thing with the cake - because we don't really like the typical cake. I am hoping they can just go a plain butter cream cake and that we can take one of the white chocolate castle cake toppers and cover it in brown sugar for a sand castle cake.

I am very curious about all of the little details and extras - can't wait to read about them.
