Jodi's bridal journal (posts welcome) - I'm back!

Hi Everyone!!

Just thought I would write some before I leave for NYC....Tonight we will be going to see "Wicked" I can't wait! I have been looking so forward to this.

The medication's effect on my stomach is improving - Thank god, I couldn't imagine going to NYC with my stomach a few days ago. Yuck!

Right now, all of my medication is drying my skin out so I am going to easy off using it everyday - I will do that every other day and the anibotics everyday. It helped me last time doing that. This time I have about two months worth of the anitbotics to take and then I go back for a follow-up.

Well, that is it for today - Have a great Halloween tomorrow everyone!

Had a ball yesterday in New York City - First off I have to start with if any of you are ever in the New York city area you have to check out World of Disney. It not only has all of the stuff that normal Disney stores but you can find some of the little goodies that they sell at Disney World - and much, much more. They also have meet and greets with the characters at the store; yesterday they had Cinderella but we didn't have time to do that....I love that store my DF and I have already talked about how we have to go before the holidays and pick up more goodies for some of the kids of the family. :)

Wicked was excellent! They even mixed a bit of humor into the play - I loved it, I already hinted to DF that I want to see it again. Oh - and last night was the 1 year anniversary of the play's start (very special night). They had some special things that they were selling for charties. First choice was a Wicked Poster signed by all of the cast members; that was $100.00, Second choice was a script signed by the entire cast; that was $50.00, and last was a cast cookbook called Wicked Cooking (or something like that) that they were selling for $25.00 - We went for the cookbook! We won't get it for another month or so (they did not have them printed yet - I guess they wanted to see how much interest it generated). I can't wait to get the cookbook.

Speaking of cooking - While we were in Salem the Inn that we always stay at always has this wonderful coffee cake that they serve it turns out the owner's mother cooks all of the stuff we eat in the morning so my DF and I asked for the recipe....I just got it the mail yesterday.

Yesterday was just filled with goodies - I got home last night (or should I say earlier this morning) and my aunt had dropped off some goodies for me from Walt Disney World....a mug (I collect them) and a pin traded landyard, and a trading pin.

Well, November is going to be a pretty quiet month in comparsion to this month but in a way I kind of welcome it! Hope everyone else has a great Halloween (I have already started to celebrate - I love Halloween). :)

Have a great week all!

:wave2: Hi Jodi,
It sounds like you had a wonderful time :D . That cookbook sounds really neat ::yes:: ! Someday I need to get down to NYC and see a broadway show. Maybe for our 5th wedding anniversary :scratchin . I think I'll bring that idea up to DH :sunny: .

Have a great Tuesday :sunny: !

I didn't realize how long I have been away - Sorry everyone.....I am so disappointed in myself.

I am back on my diet and soon will be back to my regular gym activity.....It's been tough because we have been so busy.

This past Wednesday - we finally got our proofs for our engagement pictures now the hard part deciding which to use in the Newspaper. My DF and I are not agreeing on that at all - We will be talking more about that today.

We are still keeping a very open mind about photographers though - I have made an appointment to meet with one photographer this coming Wednesday night - although she is very pricey and we really want a videographer also!

Friday we meet with my pastor to discuss many things - I was never confirmed in my church, I had less than one year left in my confirmation classes when I was younger but I was going through a lot of thing then too, so I dropped out. They don't have confirmation classes for adults (for some reason I thought that there was) so the next option is getting re-baptisted. My pastor is available for our wedding date though but the church isn't (thank god - we already reserved for the chapel at our reception sight).

Busy, busy, busy - hopefully this coming Saturday will jump start my workout again.....I have a personal trainer session at 8:00 a.m.

Well, I am going to run. I will talk soon!

:wave2: Hi Jodi,
Nice to see you back. Good luck in picking a picture and all your wedding decisions.

Well, today I ended up staying home from work.....My stomach just feels really quessy and there seems to be a stomach bug going around - I also came home early yesterday from work.

On a good note though planning for the wedding is going pretty well. We have our DJ now well, we are on his books it's just the matter of signing the contract and putting down a deposit next Wednesday.....He loved that we were doing a Mickey and Minnie theme for the wedding (he a Disney freak too!).

My DF is putting down a deposit on a videographer that we found at one of the bridal shows actually we found our DJ at a bridal show too!

So, I think we already have a lot done - we have the reception hall/chapel, DJ, Videographer, and I have my dress - oh and my pastor may be performing the ceremony....We meet with him today. :)

Bob and I are already having wedding dreams.....to me it seems too early for this but it's happening. It's still 11 months away but everyone says that all of that time is going to go in no time.

Busy weekend for us - in the morning I have a personal trainer session and then we meet with two different photographers.

I just know that I gained weight but I am hoping to get back on track, I feel so bad.

Hi Jodi!

It's good to hear from you! I'm sorry to hear that you are not feeling well. I have been sick for the past 2.5 weeks and it has not been fun! Make sure you take good care of you and get some extra TLC from your honey.

I'm glad to hear that your wedding plans are coming together. I bet the next 11 months will go by pretty quickly for you. ::yes:: Are you planning on posting an engagement picture? I can't remember if you did or not.

Take good care of you, Jodi! Have a great weekend!

:wave2: Hi Jodi,
I'm glad to see you back :D . Have a great weekend :sunny: !

Hi Jodi- just wanted to stop in and say hi- I haven't been around the journal boards too much lately. Hope your feeling 100% better soon!
Mary:D

Hi Val & Mary - I am feeling so much better now! You have no idea how badly I felt last week....now the only thing that bugs me is my allergies.

Well, went to my trainer session and a month and a half away from the gym has really hurt....I gained back 6 pounds but I should be able to shed them in no time at all - it's going to be tough during the holidays but I think that I can do it.

Today, I am starting on that new diet that I was talking about awhile ago. Wish me luck!

Bob and I think that we might have a photographer for the wedding! We still want to interview some others but I think we have already found her!

We were just going to use the photographer that did our engagement photos but she has been taking so long getting anything to us. So far we have only the proofs and had asked her days ago if we could see a couple of the pictures bigger but she still hasn't sent them - we met with her yesterday hoping that we could see the enlargements then but no such luck....We just wanted to see a couple bigger so that can make a final decision! :( After she makes the prints bigger that we are interested in we are supposed to get the negatives on disc (because they were all done by digital camera).....

I know a few have asked to see them online - no worries I will share....I love the pics, she is just taking too long. We are just worried because Bob and I wanted to give the pics to our Moms for Christmas (they have no idea that we even went for the engagement pics yet). Then shortly after we will have our engagement announcement in the local newspaper.

Talk to everyone soon! Have to go and get ready to go to a bridal show! :teeth:

Jodi,
It sounds like your wedding plans are moving forward wonderfully! You are smart to get as much done as possible so far in advance. I am sure you will have a magical day! :)

Have fun with the trainer! Good luck with the new diet!

Hi Everyone,

I wasn't able to post the pictures - don't understand why but if you want to send me a private message with your email address - I will put you on a list to get access to them and you can view them that way. :)

We had to October has become so popular - June isn't the month anymore it's September/October.....I can't wait I am so excited.

Hi Everyone,

Well - this week I have official gone on my diet and I already feel like I have lost weight but today I am taking a break from it.....Thanksgiving is just too hard to diet. I just have to be very careful of my choices for the day.

I am pretty much done with my Christmas shopping (Thank God) - just a few more things but nothing that I would have to go to a mall for. :cool1:

Last night we signed the contract with our DJ - god, he is more than a DJ.....This guy is amazing. I know we made the right choice. This guy has been in the industry for years and if we ever need anything he will direct us in the right way. Also, when your wedding comes up he packs his trailer with all kinds of things. If your bustle should come undone he can fix it, it you should break a nail he has a kit, if you should get an upset stomach he has something for that too! I love this guy.

Still have a lot to do but I am just so excited about it.

Well, I am going to run - Everyone have a fabulous Thanksgiving.

Happy Thanksgiving Jodi!

I am happy to hear that your wedding plans are coming together nicely.::yes:: And did you say that you are almost done Christmas shopping?:earseek: Any chance you want to do my shopping for me too?;)

Have a wonderful day today, Jodi!

Your wedding plans seem to be falling into place nicely. How exciting for you.:Pinkbounc

Happy Thanksgiving.

Hi Everyone,

Well - it was back to the gym for me today :cheer2: I only did cardio but I felt great that I have finally made it back.

Hopefully, I will be getting back to my old habit in no time at all! I hope to shed some pounds before my next meeting with my personal trainer (next Saturday).

Earlier this week I started that new diet I was telling all of you a while ago about. I'm hoping that it really kick starts everything!!! I can't tell you how much I hate the scale! I always think that I am doing better than I am but everyone says that I look great - I find it hard to believe since I feel the worst that I have felt in a long time.

Well, I will do my best to get to the other journals this weekend. Great to be back!

Jodi

Hi Everyone

Today I hope to make it again to the gym again - it is mighty gloomy out there though - that mixed with the traffic going home from the long holiday weekend......Well, it just isn't making me feel like moving anywhere.

Things are still pretty difficult with my DF's sister - She has been so opinionated about everything with the wedding that my DF and I ended up talking about it and it was decided that my Maid of Honor and myself would look for the dresses for the bridesmaids. My DF's sister is also a bridesmaid and she just cannot be bothered to look at the dress that the Maid of Honor and I have decided to go with.

This past Friday, DF's parents took us all out to dinner and she wouldn't even talk to me....much less look at me - Oh well! It's just going to end up being one of those bitter things isn't it? I mean when we all were leaving the restaurant she couldn't even bother to say goodbye - I ended up saying goodbye to the other sister and DF's mother. Needless, to say I don't want to spend Christmas with her - and I am really trying not to feel this way - but I really can't help it.

Well, I am going to run for now and try and get to the gym today. I will keep all of you updated. ;)

Update - Back from the gym:
Treadmill - 20 minutes, Weight loss setting, Difficulty 5
Arc Trainer - Weight loss setting, Difficulty 4, 15 minutes
Stairmaster - 10 minutes, difficulty 5, manual setting
Crossramp (with arms) - 8 minutes cardio
Lat pulldown (front pull) - 15 reps, 45 pounds one set
Lat pulldown (front pull) - 15 reps, 50 pounds, 2 sets
Longpull (for back) - 40 pounds, 12 reps, 3 sets
Overhead press - 10 pounds, 1 set, 12 reps
Overhead press - 15 pounds, 2 sets, 12 reps.

That's it for today - I don't plan on going back tomorrow (It will be too busy - but will be back on Tuesday).

Jodi

Still keeping strong with my diet and workouts......I am hoping for some pretty positive results this weekend (It's so hard during the holiday season though).

I did make it to the gym and did a little under an hour of cardio....Hope everyone is doing well haven't got to check journals yet.
