Jodi's bridal journal (posts welcome) - I'm back!

The bathing suit is the most cruel article of clothing there is!!! Don't beat yourself up! Everyday you are one day closer to looking the way you want to! :grouphug: You are doing great! Keep it up! :flower:

Hope you are doing well. Bathing suit shopping is very hard. It is kindof like going to the Gyne, a necessary evil that no one enjoys! ;) Have a good Sunday.

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone is doing well. Sorry I haven't been around for a little bit....Haven't been keeping as active as I would have liked due to the weather and work but I hope this is the week that I get back on track.

Tonight - I ordered a bathing suit and a few other things from Victoria's secret. I just all of it looks as good as it does in the online catalog, although I do have problems because of my height....everything seems to be made for tall people.

This past weekend - Bob and I got a lot more done for the wedding. We ordered the cake and my wedding band - not to mention the week before we signed with our videographer. This weekend we also went to see "Pacifier" I thought it was really good and was so glad to see that Disney was back on top - I just hope that it stays that way for awhile.

I am also trying to arrange for a surprise for Bob while we are at Disney World. I have already contacted Disney florist and asked if they would work with me on a themed basket, and I am able to do that - so I am going to make a hawaii/Lilo & Stitch themed basket. I've had some good luck finding stuff at the DisneyStore on clearance that is Lilo & Stitch....now all I have to ask is if they can add dried fruit and not fresh fruit. It's odd some of the tropical fruit Bob is allergic to but if if it is dried he isn't. Any suggestions for fruit that would go well in a tropical basket please feel free to suggest. The whole reason that I am doing this is because I thought that it would tie in well with the Luau that we will be going to at the Poly. He will be so surprised - he knows that I am going to do something but he won't expect it four days into the vacation.

Well, I have to do some laundry - have a wonderful week everyone.

WOW~!!! You have been really busy!!! Glad you are able to get so much done!!! You and Bob are going to have a blast as DW!!!!

Happy to see you back! :flower:

Wow - what a week. I wasn't able to make it to the gym due to the weather this week and thought that I would be able to get a lot done today but it decided to snow (again). Today, I was going to run to the gym and then go with the bridesmaids this afternoon and order the dresses - I can't very well ask them to go out in this weather - just really bummed :sad2:

It is really tough to keep going with the diet but today I am determined and will continue until October (the wedding). There is so much going on with the wedding - I just am not looking forward to it......I'd rather just skip to the honeymoon.

Went to the allergy doctor yesterday and we found some more allergies - what fun almost two hours of testing but at least I am one step closer to treatment. April 1st is the day that I go back for my treatment - they are drops that I have to do two times a day each treatment will last me three weeks - although it is very expensive.....I just couldn't go back to the shots.

I hope things are better tomorrow and I actually get things done. I have to start going back to church and I want to make it to the gym too!

Everyone have a good weekend - I will check in again tomorrow.

Jodi

P.S. I know I spoke in an earlier post about a basket that I am putting together for Bob - I found this pin that I bought to add to the basket (too cute)http://cgi.go.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6517998970#ebayphotohosting.

Sorry the wedding is stressing you out! :grouphug:

Once I get back to the gym I should be fine - work it out there :teeth: I am more or less getting stressed out by one of his sisters....everyone else is okay - I wanted to try and get together with all of the girls occassionally so it's not just like I want them to buy dresses and be in the wedding and I don't want anything else to do with them but one of his sisters almost always pulls out - I can't understand why she is doing that - It's just bumming me out.

To make matters worse - I really want my mother to walk me down the aisle and she is trying to pull out and have her husband walk me down the aisle - she doesn't understand how upsetting it is my father meant the world to me and he passed away a year and a half ago and I haven't been dealing well with it. Now her husband won't talk to me - it's no disrespect to him really but he is a subsitute for my father .....no one can be. At this point I am thinking of just walking down by myself. No one seems to understand me lately.

That's it!

Sorry you are feeling bad. I knew someone who walked halfway down the isle herself and then her husband to be met her and they walked the rest of the way together. Good luck in your decisions. There are always unfortunately some hurt feelings around a wedding. Try to do what is best for you and your feelings. In time I hope everyone understands how you feel. Take care. :goodvibes

Thanks Wilderness - I still don't know what to do.....I always worry about what other people think and what would make them happy. Sometimes, I wish I could stop but I don't think I can - I'm still really confused on what to do.

Today was a Disney Day of sorts - about a week and a few days ago I ordered the disney guest of honor pins for my FI and I....just got them today - they are so cute! Too bad - I won't be giving him the pin....It will be part of his basket once we get to Disney World. I guess it's only fair that I don't show mind ahead of time. :confused3

When I got to work today - I found that my Incredible's DVD had shown up and was waiting for me :) my FI wants me to wait for me to watch it so I won't get to watch it until the next weekend. :sad2:

Tomorrow I hope to keep good with the gym - the weather has been making it really tough lately. I'm still going pretty good with the diet. I just wish the breakout on my face would go away. I've tried everything.

Well, I am going to run for tonight - I'm really tired.

Jodi

Glad you had a Disney Day! :flower: I hope YOU will be happy with any decsions you make for the wedding!

Well, I am starting to feel a lot better now that I am back to my diet and exercise plan....There were a couple of weeks there that I just fell off because of work and the weather.....Hopefully the weather for now on will keep itself in order - I am so sick of the snow.

Made it to the gym last night - made that cardio night and then went grocery shopping, etc. I just hope that I can notice something soon....I think more or less I have been gaining muscle which is good but I also want to loose inches and I seem to be bulking up......I have to meet with my trainer soon - Didn't get a chance to call her from work today (It's been very busy lately).

This Saturday we order the bridesmaids dresses - last weekend we were supposed to but the weather was bad so it was postponed until this coming Saturday. Looking forward to spending time with the bridal party (well - at least some of it :teeth: ).

Well, I am going to run.

Jodi

Hi Everyone,

Wow - I am so amazed with the energy that I've had this week....I don't know if it has to do with me going back to the gym and getting back into the groove of the diet but I hope my energy level stays this way :)

Looking forward to getting together with the bridesmaids this weekend. My niece is one of the bridesmaids and she is really excited about the wedding - she was there when my fiance and I met....she takes credit for getting us together and for some reason she is just as nervous as me walking down the isle.....I hope not to make her the first bridesmaid down the isle.....I have been in those shoes before, the music comes on and everyone stands up and turns around and is anxiously waiting for the bride but you get the first shot of the looks - whoo - that is so rough :earseek: .

I can't wait to see the look on Bob's face when I walk down - I keep on joking with him, telling him he better cry and he takes it pretty good naturally he usually just jokes back and says "and what if I don't - do you want me to pull a nosehair?" :rotfl2: He cracks me up!

God, I have so much work before the wedding - my body still isn't looking the way that I really want but I'm working at it - speaking of, here's the workout:

Treadmill - 20 minutes, diff 5, weight loss
Arc Trainer - 20 minutes, diff 4, weight loss
Crossramp - 15 minutes, diff 1, glute setting
Step ups (Reebok step) 8 risers - 3 sets, 12 reps (each leg)
Step overs (Reebok step) 8 risers - 3 sets, 12 reps (each leg)
Leg extensions - 50 pounds, 3 sets, 12 reps
Prone Leg curl - 50 pounds, 2 sets, 12 reps - 50 pounds, 1 set, 10 reps
Plate Loaded squat - 270 pounds, 12 reps, 3 sets
Calf raise - 80 pounds, 3 sets, 12 reps
Donkey Calf raise - 100 pounds, 12 reps, 1 set - 120 pounds, 12 reps, 2 sets
Abs - with 5 pound weight - 12 reps, 3 sets
Abs - without weight - 12 reps, 3 sets (both of these sets are done on a machine that just has a backboard and arms rests you pull yourself up - don't know the name of it)
Abs - 4 positions on the floor, 12 reps each , 3 sets each
That's it!

I still don't feel like I did enough but I am sure that I will be feeling it tomorrow, which is a good sore ;)

Wow - it's getting late, gotta run....I hope to check journals this weekend for the rest of you - you've been so good to me.

Have a great Friday -

Jodi :cool1:

Hello Everyone -

Well, yesterday we went to the bridal store and ordered the bridesmaids dresses - there's only one bridesmaid that was unable to make it and Bob and I will be bringing her next weekend....Another thing off of the list :cool1: Bob's sister that always seems like a little bit of a pain, ended up being okay - I wonder if something was said to her - Bob has known that I have been pretty upset with her in the past couple of weeks. I'm trying to hold my tongue when it comes to her though.

Yesterday I also had a personal trainer session - everything went well although I had decided against a weigh in and measure in and it's just because I was able to be as faithful to the gym due to the weather the past couple of weeks. I really hope that the weather starts to clear up and we stop getting so much snow. :sunny:

I don't know why but the past couple of nights - including last night....I am now typing on my computer at 3:00am - not sure if I am going to make it to the gym today, although, I really should - If I go I will probably just go to do some cardio......I can't let up on the workouts now.

Yesterday - I got that cute little Stitch pin in the mail. It is so darn cute although, I had to hurry up and hide it so that Bob didn't see it. It's so hard keeping these little suprises, I'm always afraid that I will slip up and say something to him because we have talking so much about the wedding and honeymoon. I'm still looking more forward to the honeymoon than the wedding....just really nervous about the wedding.

Well, that's it for now - If I go to the gym later today I will update the journal....Have a great Sunday everyone.

Hi Everyone - Happy Easter!!!

Another busy week - Only got to go to the gym twice this past week, I really hope to be better about that this week.....I would love to go every day and I was going to go more this past week but I ended up straining one of my muscle more than I thought on Thursday. I have been doing good with my diet so I'm not too worried. (I will post my workouts in another post)

Yesterday - we got so much done. We ordered the last bridesmaids dress - so now the order is now officially in :cheer2: . I'm so glad that all of the girls really like the dress that I picked out - they will all be dressed in perwinkle (love that color).

We finally ordered Bob's wedding band (I can't remember if I said anything but we already ordered mine weeks ago - they take at least a month to come in). Next stop, we worked on putting a registry together at Filene's - although we are in pretty good shape as far as kitchen stuff - we started to buy stuff awhile ago when Kitchen's etc was going out of business and other stores having clearance sales....what we really need is furniture but I'm not sure if any furniture stores have bridal registries (still have to look into that one).

Bob and I also purchased a video camera for our honeymoon to relive our Disney honeymoon :) We might start filming on Memorial day weekend when we go to Salem.

Bob and I were very happy last night that we got so much done....I absolutely love the band that he purchased - it is a hammered band (beautiful). I'm so excited :cheer2: .

The only thing that we need to still work on is my mother - I still very much want her to walk me down the isle but she wants me to ask her husband to walk me down - I just don't feel right about that - it's not that I don't like him or I don't appreciate all that he does for me - but he isn't my father and I wanted my father very much to walk me down the isle.....I'm still not over my dad eventhough he passed away almost two years ago (my mother doesn't seem to understand and maybe I'm crazy but that is the way that I feel). I also brought up the option of having them both walk me down the isle but she won't do that.....I know one of you suggested walking down the isle by myself and having Bob meet me halfway - I might do that. Bob said I should make that my mother's choice you know say to her - "It's your choice either both of you walk me down the isle or no one walks me the isle and I will just go down by myself." Then it's her choice and she can't really put it back on me (which she would). It doesn't help that she now has relatives calling me asking me to have her husband walk me down the isle (that I think is a bit much).

Whew - sorry I talked so much! Well - I am going to run - Everyone have a wonderful Easter!

Happy Easter Jodi! :flower: Congrats on everythign you have gotten done!~ :cheer2:
