I don't think Travis was 100% innocent. I think he was very guilty - guilty of being a fool who let his sex drive think for him. There is too much evidence that she stalked him for me to believe otherwise.
I think those of us who know somebody like her (and I do, although not to her extent - at least not thus far) are terrified by the fact that we know this could happen to somebody we know. Not everybody agrees with the death penalty, and I'm guessing you don't. I do, particularly in a case as savage as this one. It was proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that this was premeditated - that completely does away with any question for me that she may reacted in the way you described. JMHO
Good night my friends. Going to stop watching all coverage for tonight. See you in the morning.
I too, as much as I am sad for Travis's family, think this jury did a decent job. I'm just a little surprised that those who were going for the death penalty could not be talked down to life. I imagine that would be easier than trying to talk someone into the death penalty.
And in all honesty we are all thinking that the hold out was someone who could not vote for death..but what if the hold out was the other way? What if one person would not change their vote to life?
Night Reelmom - thank you as always for keeping up with the tweets.![]()
I know people with BPD and I think they get a terrible rap. They are often confused with sociopaths, which I think is more Jodi's MO. A lot of folks with BPD couldn't and wouldn't hurt a fly.horseshowmom, I think you and I could stay up all night at a slumber party talking about our respective BPD persons. We "get" the Jodi type all too well.

I agree. EXCEPT...it would have been DP or "Life", and the judge decides with or without parole at sentencing a month or two later. I think if it was between DP and LWOP it may have been easier, and that they would have decided on "LWOP."

The jury will now go and see the things they never heard or saw. And I am sure that will make them feel sick. I would love to know what they saw differently from one another. I heard Jodi's mom is upset. But now Nurmi and Willmont can walk away and she will be appointed another set of attorney's
I know, I keep hoping that if it is life, it's LWOP so I keep typing what I want instead of what the law is. I think you are right about if the choice was LWOP it would have been easier to get the jurors to agree.

And on a lighter note...
Look at how much more bandwidth we get to waste!! NBW 4ever!
C'mon guys, it's going to end the way it is suppose to, it just going to take a while longer.
Question for the "legal eagles". IF the next jury is unable to make a unanimous decision, I understand the sentence can be decided by the judge. Question, is this correct and if so, can the judge impose death?
My heart breaks for the Alexander family. I'm sure they really want to put this behind them and focus on their lives just as Travis would have wanted them to.
So no reclinating, finger-sniffing, crazy socks, "bald spots", or desalting for the next trial? What will hWild talk about?![]()

Ha! I was thinking of this earlier. The way it's going, we could be wasting bandwith (notoriously) throughout the end of Summer and possibly into Fall!![]()
On the serious side though, in the end, she'll end up with life w/parole at the very least no matter what happens next time.
Make up something new. But Jodi's life still hangs in the balance. She still does not know what will happen. Hopefully Joe Arpio will stand by his words and no more interviews.
