Jodi Arias Trial Part 6, starting with JM Rebuttal April 16

Does anyone know how many people are on the rebuttal witness list? I thought there were only a few but then I saw somewhere that there were 16.

Ugh, Tuesday. Back to "work" watching the trial.
I can NOT believe it! Her DT is worse then I thought. Who in their right mind would let their client do this? :scared1:
On the one hand, I think that NOBODY tells Jodi what to do. On the other hand, thinking of Nurmi and Willie and their snarky smirky behavior, I don't think they give a **** what Jodi does. Sometimes I wonder if they allow Jodi to do this stuff as a test, in some way, of whether or not the jury is tuned in to the media...if they're just waiting until something comes out that they've read/heard about these crazy things. Because in a way, what does it matter what she says/does if the jury isn't supposed to have heard it? And if there's a mistrial/retrial, they can plead that they can't get a fair trial.

Is that what they're hoping with a mistrial/hung jury? That the state just won't do it again, and then they can get their plea bargain, and probably for a lesser charge than they asked for before. Can just picture Nurmi saying "Neener, neener...now we want manslaughter; you could've had 2nd degree."
That is a great question. I would think the family would have to file some sort of suit "wrongful death" claim and block all this nonsense, injunction, stop letting her profit. Any one know? :confused3
I would think they'd have some sort of victims' rights! ???? Travis isn't the only one who is the victim here...his family is as well. So if she can draw his family, can she also draw pictures of Travis, alive OR dead?
Sick. Sick. Sick.

I want her gone.
There ya go, in a nutshell. ::yes::

Ebay has banned her..........this is from April 11th, not sure if you all have seen this. Twitter needs to follow suit! :sad2:
She tweeted something about how ebay banning her just drove up the price of her drawings, from a few hundred to a few thousand. Ugh. I despise her.

Im thinking that they can do a wrongful death suit after this trial is over first. IIRC OJ was sued by the Goldmans and won after his trial was over even though he got a not guilty verdict.

Considering that Travis' family is the victims as well. Jodi has also drawn his brother. Now we know why Jodi keeps turning around and staring. I think they may be looking for a mistrial. But it is also their job to keep their client in line. They know the jury is watching, they have heard that in a question 2 times.

Who heard what 2 times? And what did they hear? I don't understand.

When the jury asked AL why she was always looking at Jodi and smiling. That should tell her attorneys that they watch what they do. They see Jodi's movements , smiles, smirks and any thing that JW or Nurmi do as well.

OH, in court. I thought you meant outside of court. Yes, definitely in court they should reel Jodi in. But also themselves! I think at the very least, Nurmi's posture in that chair looks very disrespectful to the court. And Jodi drawing or coloring the other day, while DeMarte testified, look very much like trying to avoid some really bad testimony against her.

I also think this judge needs to step in and not be intimidated by the defense. Jodi needs to be told not to turn and stare at the victims. That could be considered stalking and intimidating to them, let alone draw them. If they can't control her hands put them in cuffs.

I doubt anyone, courts included, can dictate who or what JA draws. I think if the Alexander family wishes to file a civil suit later on and wins, attaching their claims to any JA assets (what she currently has or any future potential earnings) but she could easily claim no current assets as her drawings cash paid to pay for her family's hotel stay and food during the trial. The Alexander's could probably follow the cash flow from any book or movie deals and lay claim through the court system for those future assets

I think that probably crosses the line of being too controlling of the defendant. JMHO

Catching up with last night's HLN shows. Love Mark Eiglarsh on Dr Drew! Asked about his opinion of Nurmi: "It's kind of like when people ask me about tofu...you know, it's just kind of there." (But there's nothing like seeing him say it...he's too funny!)

I think when all is said and done Judge Sherry will have done an excellent job. It will be proven JA had a fair trial. Unlikely any verdict overturned as Judge Sherry allowed all important evidence from DT and allowed almost all sidebars. We outsiders wish she would maybe be a little more strict but I think she has faith that her jury will see all the DT smirks, and Nurmi slouching, JW whining and talking to herself and being a little too sneaky, using hired guns as expert witnesses, JA acting like a child drawing confirming Dr D's assessment. Judge Sherry is allowing the DT to sink themselves and I think that is why we have heard so few objections from JM. They see all these actions as the unprofessional DT slowly reveals they have an uncontrollable client and they slowly hang themselves and the verdict.
I read somewhere the other day that no jury has ever sentenced a pretty lady to the DP. I think we have seen and heard just enough testimony that the jury will clearly know JA is guilty of premeditated but will sentence her to LWOP rather than death out of pure human sympathy. If I was on the jury I feel pretty confident I would push hard for the DP

It was one thing to insult Juan and NG, but now you are drawing the victims and selling the art. There must be a fine line drawn here. I think Jodi must think it is ok since the judge did not make her stop tweeting. But this is outrageous. I have never heard of anyone doing this in my life.

She is absolutely everything the prosecution has tried to present. She's done as she pleased all of her life and continues to do so. If anybody ever deserved the DP, it's this one. :crazy2:

She really is something. Hopefully, the jury will keep watching her spiteful behavior in the courtroom and let that speak to them regarding her real self.

Off topic, but the link that was posted above had an interesting paragraph regarding Casey Anthony. I hadn't heard about this: In Florida, Anthony is currently involved in a new legal battle as concerned public opposition groups are fighting to prevent her from selling the story of her daughter's death for a profit.

Morning everyone. :wave2:

DW and I went out of town for the weekend, then I've been a little under the weather. That's why I haven't been around. I don't even remember where I left off.

I'll probably won't be around much this week either. I have a lot to catch up on at work. I think I'll even have to leave the trial off this week. It's been a little too distracting and I'm getting behind. I'm going to take the week to catch up.

I'll catch up with the trial tonight when I get home.

Probably because no one ( a victim or victims family has filed a civil suit toward CA future earnings) Doubt her mom or dad would file suit. CA has been acquitted in FL and I am guessing she is allowed to earn a living however she can. They should put CA and Octomom on a reality show and see how they put food on their table. I read where CA filed bankruptcy approx. 4 weeks ago

Good Morning, Everyone. :wave2:

I have a 10am appt so I am off to that! But I will dvr everything and read everything here when I get home.

That drawing of Tanisha by JA is so wrong. JA is one huge giant CREEP STALKER. I also wanted to add that 'real' pic on FB of Tanisha…………she has lost a TON of weight since that pic was taken. She is sooooo thin now. :sad1:

And I am also reading over there on that FB site that the finding of the GUN may be all false. :sad1:
