Good morning peoples!
I wish you all would stop posting when I'm not.
Lots to catch up on this morning. I bought my DGD a kid-sized mop because she loves to "clean" so picture me on Friday when I babysit, glued to my iPhone catching up here, while little Cinderella does the floors. LOL
Hope your cold is better! My eyes are watering just thinking about YOUR cold. lol
I've seen those real crime shows where they have members of the jury and they're asked "Would you have changed her verdict knowing 'XYZ'" and they're shocked by the info and the answer is YES. Ugh. Now THAT would freak me out as a juror. I understand about the rules of evidence, and things being prejudicial, but if I ran the world
everything would be out there on the table.
Can't wait to see if there's fallout from Violet approaching the Alexander family. She probably said something sweet and grandmotherly comforting, but she should know NOT TO DO THAT.
I remember when my kids were little and the hilarious things that happened in sports, like at a soccer game and the coach yelling "Stop! OUR goal's the other way!"

I think someone from an abusive household can go one of three ways...become the abuser, become abused, or straighten themselves out. I think Violet started out in this case with an assumption that Jodi, the female, having come from an abusive household, was the abused, and Travis, the male, having come from an abusive household, was the abuser. And I think it's a much easier sell male abuse of a female to the general public.Another thing...ALV kept stressing that since Travis came from an abusive household, it was only fitting for him to become an abuser, because in ALV words that is the normal patten. However, she also claims that Jodi came from an abusive household yet she never abused anyone. So what is it, ALV? Can't have it both ways.
I've wondered about the journals too. Were they ever in her possession in jail. Is there a clear paper trail of where they have been.Do any of you know if some of the journals being used as evidence in the trial have been written by Jodi while incarcerated? Has there been any questioning in court of the notion that she may have created journals after the murder, but before she was arrested? Most of what's been talked about here is so self-serving, I cannot believe it didn't get tossed in the vetting procedure.
I cannot believe some of the evidence, witnesses and testimony that you've all discussed here that has been admitted. I have been through many, many trials (granted, no death penalty cases & nothing anywhere near this high profile) and I have never seen anything like what's been discussed here, even if I were to assume that you guys are only 10-percent accurate about evidence, questions, answers, etc. Admittedly, I'm used to the laws and judicial system in another state, but on a basic level rules of evidence and court rules and procedures of law are common across the country.

Speculation among the HLN commentators is that they WILL be sequestered, and that's what I think. I'm sure the DT will call for it, and I don't think the judge will take a chance at this point.I wonder if the judge will sequester this jury during deliberations. I've been meaning to look up her case recitations for the denial of the Defense's motion to sequester to see if those might apply, but I came down with the nastiest Spring cold ever and I'm just damn near drained from it and it just started last night. I hope this jury can convict Jodi to the fullest extent because I'm not sure how they'd feel about their decision of anything less if/when they see the non-admissible evidence we've seen.![]()

See, I don't think that that is as benign a statement as one would think...not in a trial. If that's what happened and she said ANYTHING about the witness...mere mentioning his name, fee, anything...then that's a problem. If the judge let it go, then it becomes an issue of deciding is this mention OK, but this isn't. JMHOThey alluded to the fact that after Samuels made the comment about making $300/hour, Juror 5 said for $300/hour, you think they could get us better chairs to sit in. This was the day we all heard a juror laugh as they were leaving the jury box. To me, it seems kinda crazy for asking someone removed but then again, I think the DT was scared of all her note taking.
Violet strikes me as the "But I was just saying..." type. There's no way she was unaware that approaching Sam, in any capacity, was a no-no.

Hope your puking family has stopped and is feeling better!I have one kiddo who is feeling better and one who is still puking. It seems like he is going longer between times of being sick so hopefully he will be fine soon.

9:30 AM sharp! LMAOTomorrow will be interesting. Glad I am off
Does it start at 930 (sharp!) again?
SOMEBODY EXPLAIN TO ME ABOUT THE REMOTE. ??? I somehow missed the whole DVD/remote issue.I saw this on youtube, when JM was questioning Darryl.
She supposedly left his house that morning then went back with the remote.
But Darryl couldn't explain how she walked off with the remote.
So yep, it was a switch.
I'm sure Darryl threw that away real fast after he found out.

I think they're going to walk off together into the sunset, never to be heard from again.I wonder if Dr. Samuels will be diagnosing ALV with PTSD soon?

How cute!Okay.... my friends, have to tell you this funny thing happened this morning.
I went to my nephew's little league game...where the coach pitches to the kids and they are so little and so sweet (he's 6).
He has some issues, he will get distracted by a fly or a plane while out on the field. When he puts his hands on his knees, he starts looking for bugs on the grass. That's our Johnny.
So I drive 2 hours to come see him play today. He was sooo excited Auntie was there.
One inning, he was playing 3rd base. I go to the fence to cheer him on "pay attention" "watch the ball". He was so cute and listening to Auntie.
A batter hit the ball to right field and he was starting to run towards second base.
I yelled "Johnny, cover your base!" He stopped dead in his tracks and covered his face with his glove and other hand!
Me: "Not your face, your base!" LOL and he went running back to 3rd base.
See ya all a little later today![]()
