OK...I have a question...if there's a mistrial, and JA is retried and it's televised, would you watch??

I really feel like I can't do this again. However, I think my curiosity would get the best of me. I'd want to see, and compare, the testimony. But I don't think I can devote the time and energy into it again. Not without some good mind altering drugs.

And I just had a thought! If this is retried, there's NO WAY Samuels could testify...right? They know now that he's such a joke on the stand. So how would they get the whole PTSD and memory loss explanation in??

I think they're looking for a mistrial and then a plea bargain...2nd degree. And I don't think JM would go for that.

It depends, but I would watch less almost certainly. Would be too disgusted to watch like I am now.

I can't imagine this starting all over again

But yes, I would have to say I would watch it again.
I'm insane I guess.

My granddaughter (16 months) was running around with a wrapped chocolate egg...I thought she just found it somewhere so I took it. And ate it. Then DD says a few minutes later "What happened to her egg?" (It wasn't for her to eat...just to carry around. )

I highly doubt I could watch this ALL.OVER.AGAIN. I would feel awful for Travis' family if this went to mistrial. I also would be curious. I think there would be parts I would watch and parts I would not want to see again, like Samuels. I wonder if Nummmy and Willlllie would be back.

Good question. I had assumed it would still be Nurmi and Willie, but maybe not. I think Phil Spector had a different DT, but I think he actually went through a bunch of people at various times. But he had the money to do that.

Jodi Ann Arias could be sentenced to death if she is convicted of murdering her boyfriend in his Mesa home in 2008.

But Monday, on the eve of her trial, Arias decided to push her experienced defense attorneys to the side and defend herself.
Judge Sherry Stephens of Maricopa County Superior Court was skeptical.
"Do you have any experience?" she asked. "Do you have a law license? Have you even read the statute you're accused of?"
The answer to all the questions was "no."
But Stephens granted the request and asked that Arias' public defenders, Victoria Washington and Kirk Nurmi, remain on as advisory counsel and be ready to step back in as her attorneys if need be.
Arias, who has completed the 11th grade, will go up against Deputy County Attorney Juan Martinez, a homicide prosecutor with a reputation for going straight for the jugular.
The case has already garnered national media attention because of its dark sex appeal. And Arias, 31, with a coy smile and shiny chestnut hair, has sat for TV interviews.
She is accused of murdering Travis Alexander, 30, a salesman and motivational speaker, by shooting him in the face and stabbing him 27 times after an afternoon tryst in June 2008.
The trial was supposed to begin last Tuesday but was continued until Arias and Martinez debate the authenticity of letters from Alexander that Arias wants to enter as evidence. Martinez claims they are forgeries.
Those hearings continue today and Wednesday.

I don't know if I could watch again if there is a mistrial. I'd have to think long and hard about it. I would definitely tune in for the verdict, but I don't know if I have it in me to sit through this again.

For some reason, this doesn't surprise me in the least. She thinks she's soooo smart - smarter than Flores, smarter than JM, smarter than the "experts", smarter than everyone.

Just remember: "No jury will ever convict me, and you can mark my words on that."

If you were in jail awaiting trial, could you be that confident, smooth, and calm enough to even make a statement like that? I couldn't.

Could you imagine if she kept trying to defend herself? Hmm..maybe she would have thrown herself on the mercy of the court by now.

I am waiting for one of those bust out moments between Juan and Nurmi. Just like when Ashton said he would wait for Baez to finish his texting at the podium......That should have should have been misconduct.

I am not going to worry about this morning either. After seeing so much of this kind of thing before. Nurmi looks for things that I sometimes think are really not there.

I think the correct terminology is "dreadmill" and if DH had set up a TV/DVR on the porch where our dreadmill is so I could watch the trial and walk, I'd be skinny by now.

Why? I hope the judge keeps her and completely denies the DT request. We know Juror #5 does not believe Jodi. Of course she probably would be thrown out during the cut to 12 anyway.
