That is so disturbing. And not being that knowledgeable about legalities, I never understood sentences like "15 years to life"...seems like a wide span IMHO.

I spent the day with my 2 lovies today, now I need a nap.
My DGD is 16 months and a bundle of energy. The night before I go to babysit, I start to think "I can't wait till she naps. " LOL Yesterday I had to go later than usual, and she was just getting UP from her nap. I was one sleepy grandma by the time I got home at 9 PM. But she's just so incredible...such a joy. I asked my DH quizzically "Did we like our own kids this much??" LOL
I didn't read the thread about all that but based on what I read a few minutes ago from KatieCoolLady, she and the Dr. Drew's Juror Katie Wicke, are friends. I don't think there is any competition based on what I have read. In fact, today KCL said that she was sitting with Katie Wicke the day she was "discovered" by the media. I also don't believe KCL is a groupie. She has, dare I say, compassion(not the Dr. SCAMuels kind) for the family due to her sister being a murder victim similar to Travis Alexander. Her sister was murdered by her husband and BIL for life insurance money. They are currently on death row. She has become friends with Travis' family and even sits with the family at trial. She has been with Travis' sister at an event outside of court. As far as the other people, I don't know. I am sure there are groupies on both sides, I just don't think KCL is one. All this is IMHO. And this may sound groupie like and my husband says I am crazy but I have thought about flying out to Arizona for Spring Break to see if I could get in the courtroom. I figured he could take the kids to go do something fun while I sit the courtroom. I really want to see Juan Martinez and Detective Flores in person. Heck, I would even want to see Willie and Nurmi. Jodi would scare the carp out of me.
I see that perky Katie person on Dr Drew, but really have no idea how she came about to be on the show. Was she just in THIS courtroom and someone from HLN interviewed her and then "the rest is history" as they say...they stuck with her? Who's KatieCoolLady from WS? Was she on WS before this trial? But now they're both in the courtroom? A Reader's Digest Condensed version would be good, thanks.
Don't send me to WS...it gives me anxiety attacks...so overwhelming.

Me too! I have a sister who lives near there who I could stay with, but I don't like her.
My son works part-time for an airline so I can fly stand-by on many airlines.

If premeditation can happen in an instant and saying that JA's gunshot first story is correct(which I do not believe) couldn't it go from self defense with the gunshot to premeditation with the knife to finish him off? So that way her self defense story is useless due to the extreme circumstances to kill him instead of rendering him helpless so she could get away. I hope this makes sense.

Seriously, wouldn't have been really easy to track down flight information? Maybe see if Jodi had ever posessed an airline ticket. There are some things in this trial that don't add up but when it all comes down to it, Jodi has shown her jealousy and anger over things...including her curt attitude and demeanor when Mimi is brought up. Why is so much stuff just coming to light now? It's not like this is a recent incident that they're still investigating, they have it all...hopefully JM will bring it all up in closing (if he's allowed to)
Don't know who the source of the info is, but maybe nothing was actually booked, but that Travis had "planned" to take Jodi? Or Jodi planned to BE taken?
Interesting tho. I definitely think that trip was the final straw for Jodi.
Okay, so one thing brought up was why wasn't the bullet casing tested for prints? There was an area that wasn't in blood. If she put the bullet in, her prints would be on it. Another person pointed out her premeditation in the past when she was in school and thought she might possibly be kicked out of her house at some point so kept everything at Bobby's house. Yet another person said that the reason there was a knife and a gun is to go along with the story of the two intruders. Each would need a weapon. Holy crap I hadn't even thought of that possibility!!! She was creating an illusion to match the story she would end up telling.
I would think they tested everything for fingerprints. And I think the gun was already loaded.
Maybe this is one gun her grandparents kept loaded just in case of an intruder, and maybe this is the gun she took because it WAS loaded. I know NOTHING about guns. But
is there a way to tell, just looking at it, if it's loaded and if there are other bullets in it?
I have a new theory. 
Jodi shot him in the shower so the crime scene would be easy to clean up. But he didn't die and he DID lunge at her, and that's where she's getting her story from. I don't think he was in any way threatening with his lunging, because he's been shot. Then, she had the knife with her as back up because she either didn't know now many bullets were in it, or she knew there was only one. Once he was out of the shower, she was frantic and in a frenzy to kill him, and that's why the scene was so horrific. While he was standing at the sink, she stabbed him in the back.
In the frenzied activities of getting him back to the shower, and then trying to clean up, the shell casing got kicked to its final spot, on top of the blood. At first I thought it would have had to roll in the blood (so would have blood on all sides) but if the blood had thickened, the casing may have landed there and stopped.
And now, she's in a frenzy to clean up. She goes around frantically collecting everything, and scoops up Travis' clothes (which may have been left on the floor before getting in the shower and gotten bloody during the attack) and the camera and threw them in the wash. If she thought about the missing camera later, she may not have realized where it might have gone, and at this point, just needed to get out of the house.

I guess I'll just let him get on with his relationship and I'll get on with shelling out too much money for airline tickets!
