Disney Minnie Van service now from MCO to deluxe hotels guests (not just club level)

Of course, but look at Disney as a whole and this price is right inline with Di$ney prices. Remember it's not about the magic it's about the money. They are not running this to be nice, they are running this to make money.
I know, I normally don’t have any problem paying more for the magic. For some reason this just ain’t all that magical to me. 🤷‍♂️

ETA: maybe if Minnie mouse was the actual driver I would be on board 🤣

DH and I've been talking about this and decided we'll do Gear Fusion for pickup at MCO and Mears Connect for return to MCO. I noticed on the Gear Fusion site they notify you when they are there. Should I assume the pickup is still on the ground level?

They meet you at baggage claim

gfLabor10 for 10% off, you are welcome

Just can't justify the price. I can't pay $400 RT for a 30 minute car ride. On our upcoming trip, we are renting a car for $200 for a full week.
Even private transfers like Meries orlando express start at $99 one way. We've done Gearfusion for $79 one way.

I’ve done Lyft and I’ve done Mears Connect. I just can’t see paying so much more to have a Disney branded vehicle for this. The last thing I want to do I overspend for my first thing right off the airplane on my trip.

I’m lucky that I also travel solo and a normal uber/lyft is satisfactory. However, this is just another Disney pride gouge. What more does it offer from the airport over a Lyft?

Mine did not. So I texted asking where to meet him and I ended up accidentally exiting the wrong area to meet him outside and he had to drive around to the other side to pick us up. He wasn’t rude but I could tell he was annoyed by my mess up.

Here’s another article on DVC Fan that provides a few more additional details:

Minnie Van Airport Service Now Available for Deluxe Resort & DVC Guests Beginning August 13th

Beginning August 13, 2025, Disney will expand its popular Minnie Van Service to offer airport transportation for Guests staying at Deluxe Walt Disney World Resort hotels – including Disney Vacation Club Members and Guests using points or staying direct. This service will provide a new, private travel option between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and your resort.
While the convenience and whimsical design of a polka-dotted Minnie Van might be a big draw, the price tag means this is likely to appeal most to those who value Disney’s personalized service over budget transportation options.

What Is the Minnie Van Airport Service?

The Minnie Van Airport Service is a private, point-to-point transportation option operated by Disney Cast Members via Lyft. The new airport service will:
  • Begin operating August 13th, 2025
  • Be available to all Guests staying at Deluxe Disney Resorts (including DVC Members and renters)
  • Provide direct transportation between MCO and your Disney Resort hotel

Vehicle Types & Capacity

  • Standard Minnie Vans: Seats up to 6 passengers
  • Accessible Minnie Vans: Seats up to 5 passengersplus space for 2 mobility devices (max 7 total passengers)
  • Complimentary car seats: Up to 2 available per vehicle upon request

How to Book Minnie Van Airport Service

Guests may book 60 days to 2 days prior to their travel date by calling (407) 828-3500.

It is preferred that Guests book directly themselves, as Disney requires:

  • Complete flight details (arrival/departure times)
  • Guest information for all passengers

Reservation Window & Availability

  • Preferred booking: 48–60 days in advance
  • Last-minute option: Book up to 24 hours before travel (subject to availability)
  • Once fully booked: No additional reservations will be accepted

Minnie Van Airport Service Pricing

  • $199 one-way ($398 round trip)

Is the Minnie Van Airport Service Worth It?

If you value:

  • Door-to-door convenience with a Disney Cast Member driver
  • Disney theming from the moment you land
  • No rideshare or shuttle uncertainties
…then this may be worth the splurge.
If you’re focused on budget, rideshares, shuttles, or rental cars will likely give you significant savings.

What DVC Members Should Know

Because this service is available for Deluxe Resorts, it includes:

  • All DVC Resorts at Walt Disney World (whether booked on points or cash)
  • Guests renting points
  • DVC Members booking direct stays
You can also pair this with a pre- or post-cruise stayif you’re sailing out of Port Canaveral, though Minnie Vans do not currently serve the cruise terminal.

We’ve driven ourselves from the northeast and even taken the 24-hour train to Orlando. But when we flew, the only decent airport transport we’ve experienced is the magical express. When that was gone, we went with Mears. Those drivers were nuts, and it’s a miracle that we didn’t have multiple car accidents. Mears really stressed me out. In the future, when we take our Grands, I would like a pleasant and safe riding experience…perhaps in a Minnie Van.

and that is ok. nobody is attacking anyone here, why people are getting so worked up? I just clarified when people were comparing minnie vans to uber. I was not comparing to uber, but to other similar services.
The only fair comparison is with a luxury SUV. That said I agree with your conclusion. Disney magic up charge is more then I'd spend.

An added cost option?
Mine did not. So I texted asking where to meet him and I ended up accidentally exiting the wrong area to meet him outside and he had to drive around to the other side to pick us up.
Unless something has changed meet n greet is required by the airport, exceptions during Covid.
Here’s another article on DVC Fan that provides a few more additional details:
I haven't seen official statement from Disney.

My family has used the airport Minnie Van service twice pre-covid and loved it. Post-covid we tried two other reputable car services, not ride shares such as Uber/Lyft. It could have just been bad luck, but we had negative experiences both times. Our first experience had a very non-personable driver, almost angry and our second experience had a very nice driver but completely unsafe, he texted while driving with two children in the car and almost got into an accident.

Over the years we have continued to use the Minnie Van service at times such as going from the Resort to Disney Springs and to/from certain Resorts for Dining. Most of the time our trips in Minnie Vans has been amazing. The Cast Members are always very safe and very personable. They interact with the kids; they have Disney music and shows playing and almost always have very interesting Disney facts and trivia to share with us.

I will totally agree that you pay a premium for it, but we have always felt that it added to the magic of the trip. For longer trips we now rent a car, but for shorter trips we do not. We would definitely consider paying the premium for the airport Minnie Van service, but again that is solely based on our families experience.

Weird. It’s too late but if anyone else experiences that you should report it to Gear Fusion. After meeting they then escort you to the special pickup area for private cars.
