I went back and was listening to the day of the murder, she just says she slammed the closet door, no mention of locking it.

Well, I'm exhausted! There were many laugh out loud moments, especially when mr. Martinez pointed out how excellent her memory is sometimes, so clear she has to correct him.. And the Ryan burns alibi...ye...no. I forget was
Ryan the reason for,the trip or the afterthought. She said yes to both several times!

I really wanted him to spell it out when discussing the August 2007 threatening hug incident that required her to kill Travis on jun 4 2008. He sort of stopped short, I guess b/c he's not ready to get into the murder yet. It was very clear that Travis went upstairs to get away from her, and she wasn't afraid of him and still confronted him.

She is such a good liar, why can't she lie about the self defense better? It's like she can't go all the way with that. It's a perfect time to claim Travis hurt her, not just grabbed her wrists and hugged her while apologizing.....but she doesn't. Even though that is the event she recalled and why she had to kill Travis she testified on direct.

She ain't afraid to lie, so I don't get it.

She is so getting the death penalty. Will she smile for that?

Oh I forgot when she said (with contempt). I did not grind that guy! So funny!

I am finally watching and getting all caught up on both the tv and reading here. JVM is coming on so I will watch her show.

I will say I would much rather listen to an excited JM cross JA then to ever have that monotone KN back up there with how blah he became with all his questions to JA.

Fake tears when JM asked her how she felt when she STABBED Travis in the chest.

OMG OMG, her video of why she smiled in her mug shot. OMG OMG And proclaiming her innocence. And 'smile and say cheese'. She is absolutely cray cray as others have posted.

Sending flowers to Travis' grandmother. OMG.

Hi All

I caught up with her testimony today finally.

I was glad when JM asked her how Travis must have felt when she stabbed him in the stomach but, of course felt bad for the family.

The flowers to the Grandmother, just screams "I AM A NUT!"

I saw Nurmi getting flustered many times today. He made a few outward movements that I felt should have been addressed by the Judge.
Now he knows how we all felt listening to his questions for 9 days with his droning voice.

I was hoping when JM was questioning her about her statement to someone that she hoped her kids and Travis' kids would play together someday he would ask her "why in the world would you want your kids near a pedophile"???

I thought JM did really good today. I think he wanted to smack a few answers out of her mouth a few times (like we all did).

I really want to know what the faces of the jurors looked like when they heard that statement about the mug shot. I can not believe they believe this woman in any capacity. All the lies, she is just so cruel.

My husband calls her calculating. Like we were watching this afternoon when he came home and he said, "She thinks about everything before she says anything." He's totally picked up on the fact that she's a control freak, also.

What I couldn't believe was the 48 Hours interview where she said, "Travis' family deserves to know what happened to him." And when they played that back today with his family sitting there and the camera panned to them ... that just about killed me. They so deserve to know, but I don't think they ever will.

Holy Smoke! Nancy just played one of the interviews from Det Flores and they were taking about the gun. She told him that he did not have a gun that she knew of. OMG! I would so love to email this prosecutor and tell him to watch that. And what the heck would the jury think?

As usual, I had to run out around 4 so missed part of the cross. I tried to gather clues from everybody's posts but didn't gather much. I'll catch up on in session tomorrow then maybe I can make some comments. Any smoking gun moments? Did Jodi write about Mimi in her journal? What's up with her smiling mugshot, how'd that get brought up?

One really weird thing, I watched the latest episode of The Americans on FX tonight before watching the rest of the trial I had DVR'ed. The episode was about the assassination attempt of Ronald Reagan by John Hinckley. Right after that I start watching the trial and in the 48 Hours interview JA talks about how her and Travis talked about naming their kids Iris, Megan, or Reagan and Hinckley. Weird. Not sure if she made that up too, but why name a kid after a guy that tried to assassinate a president?
