Well, my job search certainly took a turn for the unexpected and for the better.
After two weeks of interviews and second interviews with about 5 different insurance companies, weighing the pros and cons of each, asking myself if I want to work based on commission, going on a field demo with an agent from one of the companies, and one last interview even after I was 95% decided on one of the companies, I've made a decision.
I've got a job!!!
I'm going to work for United American Insurance Company as an insurance agent.
And would you believe that was the last one I interviewed with?
In a way, it's a gut instinct, but after I got home I did some research online. The one I was 95% decided on has an excellent financial rating but it's apparently under review, which doesn't exactly sound like a good thing to me.
Now is the fun part .... the licensing exam!!!
