Joanne and Paul's VR - 4th May 2011

Thanks pixie!

There are the pics I took. The fountain inside the swan lobby is really beautiful, the ceilling above it is so pretty. I tried to get it in the picture so you could see. The courtyard is right outside of the lobby. The fountains in the courtyard are quite loud, a lot louder than I expected. When we saw the east courtyard (used by il mulino) they told us they could have the fountains turned off for our cocktail hour so I think that would probably be an option for you too. The ground was wet too, not sure if that was from fountain splashing out onto the ground or kids splashing wanter out of the fountain. The grounds around the fountain were really well kept and beautiful. I think it will look lovely in your pictures. I hope some of this helped! Feel free to ask any questions.

Thank you so much for the pics!! The ones you took look really nice, definately makes me feel better about not even seeing this place and getting married there :)
Did you happen to see the fountains at night?

We left in the afternoon so we didn't get to see the fountains at night. I do have others of crescent terrace and il mulino here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/jillmariest

Joanne, I think you did great on the podcast! You gave so much helpful info. I love your accent too!

Jilian - Thank you for the lovely photos and for the tip about the fountains being loud. It would be a shame to have them turned off, but if they are that loud and maybe splashing, it may be for the best. Maybe they can be on as the guests take their seats and switched off for the actual ceremony. I will e-mail Karen and see what she thinks!! Thank you again, and I appreciate your comments on the podcast!! I don't really like my accent - it is a curious mix-up from the different places I have lived!!!

Can you let me know what she says about the fountains??

Also, I just listened to the podcast!! You sound adorable!! And I'm so happy to hear a Swan wedding covered :)

I'm listening now and Joanne, I love your accent! Don't be silly, you sound wonderful. :)

Aww you can always count on your Dis-friends to say the right things

Sweet Crissy - Thank you. Because I was born in the London area, lived in Wiltshire (Stonehenge???) and then moved up North near the border with Scotland, my accent doesn't really know if it is coming or going!!!

Kristi - Aww thanks, although I am not sure my poor DH would describe me as 'adorable' at the moment!!! I had a 'bridezilla' moment earlier this evening whilst trying to get the invitations finished. Bless him, when I get like this he just says 'I'll put the kettle on' and brings me a cup of tea. That cures anything!!!

Loved listening to the podcast,:thumbsup2 I'm sure you already know most of your followers think you are awesome. Joanne it was so cool to hear your voice, you sounded so professional, as if you were a wedding planner for Disney, only better. And I agree with the others your accent is lovely, so refined. Our invites are out and we are getting replies already. :scared1:

James - Thanks Hun, it was great fun to do!!

Mary - How organised you are!! I guess we don't really need official invitations as we are a small party and I already know that all my guests are coming because their flights accomodation etc has been booked for months!!!:goodvibes. I just wanted to do it all properly and send out official invites!!! I am so sad!!
Thank you for your kind and sweet words about the podcast. Refined? That is so nice to know!!! My accent is mainly London(ish) and that can come off as 'commom'!!!

My sweet Crissy - Believe me, I can have my moments!!!!

I think it is great that you did the podcast, you've given so much helpful information for future s/d brides. Really, the s/d should hire you for marketing their weddings...lol. I couldn't picture you being a bridezilla either, but your H sounds very sweet. I hope you got the invite issue worked out. I'm dreading making my save the dates!

I just sat down and read your whole PJ and I loved it! You have sooo many great ideas. You're so creative!

Jilian - Aww what a sweet thing to say. You know if the S/D called today and offered me the job, I would have a hard time refusing!!! Perhaps you could work with me as the photographer, judging by those stunning photos you took!!!

Belle2211 - Thank you so much!! I am honoured you are following along!!

Well, even though not many people seem to be interested in reading (not that I blame anyone - I guess it is pretty boring to other people), I am going to stubbonly carry on!!!

Love your PJ and reading again. Remember when u thought no one would be interested. 14,000+ views and a podcast about your VR. I think people r interested. ;);) sorry for shothand lol baby in one hand and typing with other. Who said men can't multi task :goodvibes So glad u decided to soldier on with your PJ.

Hi Catherine!
I managed to find some faux leather luggage tags in a £ shop so bought a bunch of these - I think they were three for a pound (don't you just love a bargain!!). I have, however, in the past made many luggage tags for my own Disney trips and for others who I have met over on the 'Creative DISigns' board. I found that it works really well by just using good quality paper to print out both sides of the tag, and then sticking the two sides together and laminating the whole thing. I finish by punching a hole in the tag and adding co-ordinating ribbon.
Another alternative is to buy self-laminating luggage tags. I believe these are available in places such as Walmart in the US, but I have never been able to source them in the UK.
HTH, and if you need any more help, don't hesitate to ask!!!

Thanks so much! I found faux leather tags this weekend in the dollar bins at a store called Michael's here in the US and they are perfect! I bought all that the store had - thank goodness we're having is a small wedding :woohoo: Now back to catching up on your PJ!
