Joanne and Paul's VR - 4th May 2011

Love the hair slide!!!! It is going to look so pretty in your hair!! And I love the paper confetti. That is such a cute idea!!

Love the comb!!!
And I was wondering if the Swan would allow that confetti. I saw it previously and fell in love with that idea. So THANK YOU for answering my question!!!
I love the idea of using books that are important to you with this. It's such a good idea!

Glad I could help Kristi!!!

I love your hair comb, its very beautiful and you are right less is more. Just wanted to let you know my daughters cake topper just arrived. (took 4 weeks)
It's just perfect and we are very happy with it. Thanks again for your help:thumbsup2

I am so glad everything went well with the cake topper!!!!
Our tickers are looking very exciting (and just a little scary) aren't they?

In other news, I contacted Karen (my planner) about confetti and she said that that the Swan was more or less happy for my guests to chuck whatever they want at us (obviously within reason!!). I have today taken delivery of two packets of paper confetti from (yep you guessed it) Etsy. Here is a picture

I love, love, love the confetti. I am glad you decided to go with paper hearts and not rocks :goodvibes... even though it sounds like the Swan would be ok with it. Wish we could do it (hearts, not rocks) but I believe everything has to be natural for our ceremony. Thanks for the updates. I look forward to each one.
I belive we are going to miss your wedding by two days :sad1:

I love all your updates Joanne. I think your hair will look lovely in that style and the cofetti is a wonderful idea-another of your ideas I might be pilfering!

I hope you don't mind but I am thinking of using the velveteen rabbit for our ceremony too. I have bee n looking for a reading and I cannot find anything as beautiful. And as I am a slightly older first time bride than most, I feel it suits us well too.:goodvibes

I L:lovestrucVE that haircomb! If you dont mind, what is the sellers name? And that confetti is such a beautiful and personalized idea!

I love the confetti!! I love reading so that just sounds like such a cute idea. And I think it's so sweet to pick books with such dear meanings to you. :)

You should take a pic of the bracelet and post it on here for some of us curious people to see....:rolleyes1 LOL.

First, the hair comb is gorgeous and would really suit that hairstyle (which is also beautiful!) Great choices!

Second, that confetti is probably the most amazing thing I have ever seen lol I love that it is from pages of such wonderful books. I can't wait to see pictures of how it turns out!

Thanks everyone!!

James - There may be some of our guests that would love to throw rocks at us!!!! I think I will stick with the little paper hearts and rose petals though!!! What a shame that you will not be around on our day :sad1: You will be missed!!

Claire sweetie - I will be honoured if you use the same reading as us!!! You steal as many of my humble ideas as you wish!!!! Isn't it nice that we can all help each other out like that?
Glad you like the hair and the comb!!! I always value your opinion!!!

Sarah - Glad you like the comb!! Here is the link to the Etsy seller from which I purchased it

Sweet Crissy - I knew you would like the confetti!!! We seem to have very similar tastes in things (I love reading too!!)
I will post a picture of the bracelet asap. Our camera is broken and nobody here can figure out how to transfer photos from our phones to the computer :sad2::badpc: DD (Emily) will be staying with us for a few days in a couple of weeks, so I can get her to take some pics then and I can bore you all with photos of how things are progressing!!! I am starting on the 'official' invites this week (supplies arrived yesterday), so that will be another picture for you to see.

Krysten - Thanks sweetie!!! So glad you like the hair and the comb. The confetti is amazing isn't it? It is lovely in real life as the maker has punched it so that familiar characters names or scenes from the books are visable on the hearts!!!

Just catching up and wanted to say - I absolutely LOVE your hair comb/slide.

You have done so much with your upcoming VR - I feel I'm slacking off - and mine is not quite a month before yours! :rotfl: Heck I'm still hoping people are still coming!

You are my inspiration! :flower3:

Aww Michelle thank you for your sweet comments!!! You know, I am in the middle of making the 'official' invitations and nothing seems to be going right at the moment!!! :headache:. Then I remind myself that along with these invitations needs to go another newsletter and then I start to panic. I wouldn't mind, but I only have 6 invitations and newsletters to do (my total 14 guests come from 6 households)!!! I think that I am too much of a perfectionist for my own good and get my knickers in a knot if things aren't perfect!!! I keep telling myself that I must chill more or I'll be a nervous wreck by the time the big day comes around. I am determined, however, that I will be cool and calm on the day (yeah right!!!). I keep advising myself that little hic-ups will only serve to make the day more memorable. Unfortunately, like Alice (of Wonderland fame), I am very good at giving myself good advice which I seldom take!!;)

I am getting caught up after slacking off on reading. I love, love the hairstyle and comb! You will look gorgeous. The confetti is so unique. I think I better go shopping etsy since you are finding such great things. I missed the Velveteen Rabbit reading but will go back through your posts to see what you are doing. Sounds like a great idea!
Lori

Thank you so much!!! I am glad you like the hair and the comb!!
The excerpt from 'The Velveteen Rabbit' which we are using as a reading, is posted on P 16 of this PJ if you still want to read it!!
Thanks for continuing to follow along!!

Thanks so much for pointing to the page for your Velveteen Rabbit passage. That is lovely! I am at work with tears in my eyes.

I also love the drinks charms for your glasses. You are having great luck finding perfect items for you big day.
Lori

Thank you so much!!!
The trouble is the more nice things I find, the more it ends up costing ;)

That is the story of my life over here! I could plan a wonderful $50,000 VR :upsidedow

Thanks for the etsy link, I am in love with that seller's things! I can't wait to see your bracelet, the comb is beautiful. I posted in the swan/dolphin thread that I'm going to visit the S/D this weekend so we can narrow down our search, do you need any pictures? We're bringing our camera and would be happy to take any that you might want to see - I know you're pretty far from WDW.
