JL leaving

This is possibly the worst news I could hear in relation to the DIS, outside of them completely shutting up operations altogether.

Oh no! Not a happy camper here. I don't generally catch the Universal show so I'm just learning about this now. I love the whole team but JL is definitely my favorite (after Pete, of course). In fact, I was a fan of JL's long before she came to the DIS. I watched her religiously every week on Attractions Magazine, her previous gig. Elisa and Banks are great but to be honest, I don't watch nearly as regularly as I used to. JL was really what drew me in.

JL leaving will definitely leave a hard-to-fill spot in the DIS line up. She brought such a special perspective. I have no doubt that Pete will find an excellent person to join the crew as he really has a knack for spotting talent, but it won't be quite the same.

JenniLynn, if you're reading this, I wish you all the best. I'm grateful to have been able to get to know you over the past couple of years. Thank you for all you've done for us fans. <3

Because people are entitled to have lives and move on with their careers?

Don't get me wrong, I miss Steve, and I will miss JL. I started listening too recently to really miss Dustin or Shaun. But I also understand that people come and go, and there can be a lot of reasons for that. I really hate this attitude of "we love them, why couldn't they stay?" I know people aren't saying to be self-important, and our disappointment is because we genuinely enjoy seeing these people's faces and hearing their voices, but ... people move on. It's the way life works. You don't gain anything by dwelling on the past or being surprised when people choose to move on. Each person on the team needs to make the choice that is best for them, and even if you don't like it, if, as you say, you have grown to love them, you should accept (and support) their decision.

Yikes.
Nothing wrong with briefly being whiny at the surprise that someone is leaving.
We're all fully aware a persons decision has been made and we're just trying to say "aww, I wish u wouldn't leave, but I'm sure you're gonna move to something great".

It's one thing to say 'move on' about Shaun, but dayum, she JUST announced it a few hours ago.


Anyhoo, I'll miss you in the show(s) JL! Really loved The Trip and your input on Universal Show.
Hope you at least will be on this Tuesday's show, too.

I must say this news of JL leaving was a shock to myself and as I know many others. I have followed JL myself since she was with Attractions magazine. I of course was saddened by the departures of Shaun, Dustin, and Stephen, however this one really makes me sad. JL had a great story and made things very personable. JeniLynn was a fantastic addition to the dis while she was here. I sincerely wish her the best in her future endeavors and I can tell she is incredibly happy about her new opportunities.

The video she did letting everyone know she is leaving just shows what kind of person she is and how she wouldn't just leave us all hanging. I think she will continue to do amazing things in the future and I can't wait to follow along on Facebook, Twitter and wherever else she ends up. The trip out ending of the video was a phenomenal way to end it.

I agree the trip out at the end just really almost made me emotional and I've never had an attachment like that to someone leaving from the team.

I agree. That would be my bet, too. I'm sure she'll tell us as soon as she's able.

Yeah I was thinking that maybe she got a news type job as well. Fox 35 is what she appears on often I believe.

There is a huge difference in the quality of Universal with and without JL. First Dustin, now JL. If Craig leaves its gonna be me out.
