JL leaving

I'm really lost here. Pete, John & Kevin have been on the show for 10 years. Kathy for 8. Teresa for 6 or more? Corey for 10. Julie for 10? Seems to me like they keep good people.

It will be 8 years for me in July....... Guess we don't count Jeff....

I'm guessing Shaun did not leave due to his own choosing. The way his departure was announced is very similar to the way my company announces that someone was let go. I do think it was pretty odd the way her departure was announced- not much fanfare. Maybe it's just that they are upset she's leaving or maybe the kind words are coming yet from the rest of the gang...

I'd suggest we refrain from speculating about anyone's departure or comparing how one was announced vs. another. That just takes the conversation to bad places.

I think JL announced her departure in a way that totally represents who she is and the class act she is and I wish her well. No need to speculate beyond that. She said she will keep her friends and fans informed so follow along on Facebook and Twitter if you want to see the next destination on her journey.

Moving on, it would be really cool if she were to work at one of the Orlando local news stations! (assuming thats a career aspiration for her).

As I said on her Facebook page, whatever she does next she will be great at it. I think the reason most people (including myself) are shock is that it was so sudden. At least with Dustin and Steve there were a few weeks to process and understand it. Even though I noticed in the last week or so she was MIA from the Daily Fix, and thought that something might be up, I was still surprised. Anyway, best of luck to her and her family.

Congrats and thanks for the memories, JL! I always loved you on the shows!

When I first started listening to the podcast it was when JL was hosting it for a stint of time while Pete was out of the country (Italy, if I recall). When Pete got back, I thought "who the heck is this guy?" She'll always be a part of the Dis family to me.

I would say the person who posted that comment didn't mean that you're not one of the great people (or the others) but y'all haven't left, but if you did, you'd too be one of the ones they couldn't keep.

I mean writing for wdwinfo and moderating the boards. The original post referenced being with The DIS, not the show.
