Very sad news, wonder if its anything to to with her relationship with her boyfriend from the UK?, is she moving country.

Regardless what she is doing, I wish her all the luck in the world, she has been a great addition to the team, but we all have to move on at some point, unfortunately it seems we've lost some great team members in the matter of a few months.

Awwww JL... So sad to see you go, BUT you need to do what's best for you and your family, and if there is a great opportunity out there, I hope you reach out and grab it!! You are nothing short of fabulous.

I really enjoyed hearing your perspective, whether it be dining with allergies, taking kids to the park, a difference of opinion, etc.. I wondered where you were recently on the Orlando show but I know you and Ryno are often in the parks on Tuesdays. You'll greatly be missed!

I don't listen to the UO show that often but I loved the combo of Ryno/Craig/JL.

I was particularly attached to Dustin and Shaun as well but I got over it and still follow Shaun on FB particularly for his Golden Girls references... clearly Pete has a great thing going and like others have said, these people are extremely talented!

I hadn't heard the follow-up covered in the Beach Club video about Beaches and Cream that over time when the dietary restrictions lessened they came back and ordered the Kitchen Sink because now they could - I thought that was an awesome addendum

While it is certainly true that no one "owes" us a good-bye, I must say that JL's video was classy, pitch-perfect and very much appreciated. Again, I know that I have no right to anything in this regard, but compared to several of the more cryptic departures in the past, for me, JL's announcement is definitely the way to go. I look forward to more updates on her career path. Did anyone really think that a talent of this magnitude could be contained by The Dis?

Wishing JL the very best of luck for the future. Such an incredibly hardworking and gifted talent. She will definitely land on her feet and then some. Hopefully, she can come back to the DIS for a few guest appearances as it seems everything was left on good terms. I loved her work and contribution to the DIS and the The Trip really grew on me over time. I'll miss her style that paired beautifully with T's sassy personality. All the very best!

I don't see this as "all the good ones leave", rather a case of mourning people that do leave. It is difficult to explain, but we get to know these folks over a period of months or years. They are not actors putting on a play, we get to see them for who they are and how they act in real life.

I have only watched/listened for a few years, but I have gone back as far as youtube lets me. Everyone on the show shares part of their life with us. I feel like I could walk up Ferris and have a chat or have dinner with JL and her kids. I really hope to have a drink with Craig and Corey, or eat with John and Kevin just to pick their brains someday. My ultimate goal would be to reunite The Trip team to do a review at a topless bar (I have issues but the doctors are giving me stronger meds).

Steve left us way too soon but we got a heads up. When Dustin left it was like a moment of silence with everyone eulogizing him. This was a real shock and everyone on chat kind of stopped in their tracks for a minute. We may never know the entire story, but I think this thread makes it apparent the JL will be missed from TheDis family and we all wish her good luck

I don't see this as "all the good ones leave", rather a case of mourning people that do leave. It is difficult to explain, but we get to know these folks over a period of months or years. They are not actors putting on a play, we get to see them for who they are and how they act in real life.

And some of us also get the opportunity to meet and get to know them in person. They become friends - and then they're gone.

It is not unlike divorce. Someone new comes into your family. You get to know them and they become a part of your life. Then things change and away they go, sometimes never to be heard from again. The same thing happens at work with employees coming and going. That's how life works, but that doesn't mean we have to like it.
