We were so ahead of our time. We starting bringing the 80's back 2 years after they were gone.

Am I crazy?

Well, I know the answer there is yes in general, but I'm talking about this specific situation, so let me explain before you answer...

I was reviewing my new plans, and I have us having lunch at 9 dragons or Rose & Crown for the CLP and the same night we're going to V&A.

My theory was that if we eat lunch at 12:30 and then go to V&A at 9, we'll be hungry again. Is this thinking flawed?

Are we crazy squeezing that much in on one of the busiest days of the year?

Hi! I strolled on over here from your whirlwind sisters TR (which was great), and I'm hooked! I don't usually read PTRs much, but I'm loving the flashbacks...I have lots of fun Disney memories from those years, too.

This is my first PTR, and honestly it might be my last. They're way harder and less fun to write than an actual TR. The flashbacks are fun to write and are much easier too. Glad you're enjoying them!

Yeah, I tried a PTR myself last year and gave up on it real quick. Though I now think they're a good spot for just collecting thoughts and plans, so I might do one for my next trip (if I ever actually finish the TR I started a billion years ago), we'll see!

Yeek! We leave 2 weeks from tomorrow for our September trip.

First off, How is it almost September??

Second, this means that is the WORST possible time for me to be second-guessing all of our plans right?

Alas, that is exactly what I'm doing.

I'm really worried about Disney Quest. It seems like it could go either way - be really fun or aimed really way too young and not fun at all.

Anyone done this? Will we enjoy it? Or is it a waste of money?

I think we'll most likely have to table La Nouba - mainly because there's a strong possibility we'll do it in December. But also, we didn't realize how expensive it it. Holy Biscuts Batman! I mean that's my DB bag right there

Also I'm questioning if it's makes sens to spend the majority of the day at Epoct on Sunday, since in October, we're *only* going there. We love Epoct, but it kind of feels like we're ignoring the other parks and then their feelings will get hurt.

• Sleep in based on how late we stay out at EMH
• Lunch @ Earl of Sandwich
• Walk around DTD
• DO NOT MISS THE ME

Ugh. So all that to say I need HELP... to Quest or not to Quest?

I think you should try Disney Quest. We have never been there but it's one of those things that you are most likely not going to do more than a couple of times so I say go for it! Who knows, it might be fun!

I did Disneyquest a few times years ago and enjoyed it, but then again I was in my early teens at the time, so I was probably the key demographic for the place. I'd say it's worth it to at least give it a try. The Pirates of the Caribbean and Aladdin virtural reality attractions were particularly fun as I recall.

I've never been, but I've always wanted to, just never had time...otherwise you'll just keep wondering, right?

We totally send my sister (who lived in upstate NY and now NJ) care packages with cheese curds. Not the fried ones obviously as they wouldn't travel well, but the fresh ones. We did this when she was in college too, and she said she quickly became very popular... mmmm cheese!

Too funny: I was just invited to a "Cheese Curd Crawl" at the end of September. It's like a pub crawl, but with cheese curds. Instantly made me think of you

Thanks for your opinions everyone. I agree with all of you that it would be fun to do once. I did some more research and we talked about it and decided that Panic would probably really enjoy it - and would go with DH on some of the things I wouldn't be too into... So I think we're going to shelve it until December.

Maybe a fun Christmas day thing? Or since it's open until 11, something we can do in the evening after we've ditched our parents But pretty much everything I read I was like "ohh... panic would like that"

We were thinking about scoping it out, but as most of you said, it's cool, but we probably won't be in love with it enough to go running back after 3 months - and it would suck for Panic to miss out.

We'll have much more time in December. We're only going to be there for basically 2 days in September. Plus I don't know if anyone knows this or not (cuz I rarely say it ) but AK is my favorite, and it would be sad to be at Disney and not go.

So then, taking that out of the equation leads me to question if going to the MK in the morning makes any kind of sense. AK closes at 5 so we could go there first, then go to the MK and still ride the train to DH's content. It's the latest park open that day and we're much more evening people than morning people.

As much as I want to try LTT for lunch, I'm not sure it makes sense on this trip anymore.

Normal people question this stuff like months in advance don't they? But being normal is like the one thing no one has ever accused me of...

And seriously folks, I think this is it, because I mean I know my DH loves me dearly but if I don't stop changing my mind, I'm pretty sure he might leave me for the Lilly Belle... I'm just saying...

On the plus side, I got notification that my new camera shipped and should be here by early next week. I've already been told I'm not allowed to touch it on the way to Disney

I promise a full Quest report in December! I told Panic, and she seemed happy we were going to wait for her, so I think we made a good decision!

Like pretty much every Wisconsin family even, every summer in the 80s and 90s we headed to the Wisconsin Dells. I didn’t think these trips were interesting enough to separate out, but they deserve a mention. So this is like 20 trips rolled into one.

For those of you from Wisconsin, you know what I’m talking about… for those of you who aren’t, Wisconsin Dells is this little area in the middle of the state that has the largest concentration of water parks in the world.

Basically, a water-loving child’s paradise.

It was a tradition to go for a week every summer and spend at least 2 or 3 days in the various waterparks

We’d always have a large group of cousins that would come for the week with us.

It was such a fun family time!

Wd’d go to the waterparks during the day and then out for Pizza at this place called the PizzaPub. We’d have such a large group of people, we’d be in two booths. The adults in one booth would be eating and chatting and enjoying themselves. The kids in another, would all be sleeping in our pizzas!

It was the one week in the summer we knew we’d see everyone and have a great time.

But basically these trips ruined me for waterparks anywhere else. I just can’t see paying to go to Typhoon Lagoon or Blizzard Beach and using a whole day “America’s Largest Water Park” was my stomping grounds for 20 years! Maybe some day, but I'm kind of a waterpark snob now!

Woo, Wisconsin Dells! I haven't been there in years. I went a couple times with my middle school...they used to have a trip at the end of the summer if you got good enough grades. The one time we went as a family it rained pretty much the whole time. And which hotel did we stay at? The Polynesian.

Hahaa - we still go a couple times a year, but not for a week anymore. And not this year - we're going to Disney instead!!

I remember those school incentive trips to Noah's Ark... then in High School it was to Great America. Ahh those were the days.

Rainy days were fun too- you could go to Robot World or ride a Duck. Good Times.

You know I didn't think of that, but there are a lot of parallels with the hotels.

The Kalahari has African themed like the AKL
The Great Wolf Lodge has the rustic theme like the WL
There's the Polynesian (which isn't nearly as nice as the WDW version)
Then the hotel we usually stayed at, the Flamingo Motel, at the entrance to Noah's ark had random giant animals, flamingos, frogs, etc. all over. It kind of reminds me of POP.

Now we've upgraded to the Kalahari

Ahh the Dells - those were great trips back in the day. We've been doing Disney instead of the Dells lately, so I haven't been there in a year or so either. We're definitely due for a a visit. I need some moccasins and fudge!
