I saw where they just released Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! at Hollywood Studios showing a 6:45. But Fantasmic starts at 7 and everything I read says you need to be in there at least 30 minutes early. Is there going to be any way to do/see both?

unfortunately no unless you go 2 days

ugh... this stinks

It's been this way (with the Star Wars Fireworks & Fantasmic!) nearly every night since they instituted the current Star Wars fireworks.

It really comes down to Disney trying to mitigate the overwhelming size of the crowds if they attempted to exit F! and all tried to fit into the tight area in front of the Chinese Theater (GMR.)

While the new SW Fireworks and the upcoming DHS Holiday show (we can assume) are spectacular, they simply cannot accommodate huge crowds in the too-small prime viewing area.

And, really, THAT is what makes the whole idea "stink."

So it'll be decision time for us I guess because I'm not doing HS two days. Having seen Fantasmic a few times already might make it an easier choice. BUMMED>>>>>

That stinks! We don't have an extra day to go back but we have the Fantasmic Dining Package. I wonder which will be better?

In years past, the week before and week of Christmas, they have scheduled 2 Fantasmic shows -do you see this happening again this year, so it is possible to do both in one night? Also, when do they typically update the December park schedule for the Christmas week period?

Sounds like you're in the same boat as us! We've seen Fantasmic already, so I think we'll do the Jingle Bam.

If the show time stays at 645, the date in December we are going, the 21st, F! is scheduled for 8. It would be close, but if the times stay the same, I plan to see both.

i'm pretty sure they will have the show later and 2 Fantasmic! shows for the last weeks of December. Probably something like JBJB at 9pm and F! at 7pm and 9:30pm or 10pm

This. I wouldn't be surprised if during peak crowds (Christmas, holidays, etc.) if they add a show for Fantasmic. They usually do two showings during Christmas - an 8pm and (I wanna say) 10pm.

Do keep in mind that Disney is always adding hours. Whatever the hours are now will likely change (for the better.) Expect DHS to be open until 10pm. BUT, I have been letdown before. MK used to always have two late-night EMH during Christmas and last year they only did 1.

I'm going to be in HS on 11/16. On MDE intinerary, it's showing Fantasmic! at 7pm and Jingle Bell Jingle Bam at 9pm.

I am sad about this too. We are there December 3rd and have Fantasmic VIP tickets. It lists Jingle Bell Jingle Bam at 6:45 and Fantasmic at 7:00. Anyone know how long the Jingle Bam show lasts? Any chance you can go in late to Fantasmic or do they close the entry at some point? :( Why couldn't they just leave the Osborne Family Lights Spectacular alone??? :(

The JB,JB show will probably be 12 to 15 minutes long
F! Does close for capacity, it'll take you at least 10 minutes to get from center stage to F!
Regarding Osborne lights, they had to go sure to constructing for SWLand

No chance -- we're in the same boat.

FP for Fantasmic at 7, but will probably drop them since we haven't seen the Christmas show and there is no way to do both unless they add another Fantasmic show or keep the park open later and push the Christmas show back. You will not be able to watch the Christmas show and get into Fantasmic after if they don't change the current times.

I'm curious to see if anybody has luck getting from the 9 pm JBJB to a 9:30 Fantasmic. F! should be less crowded, as it's the late show - and most fireworks viewers will probably be leaving the park instead of heading down Sunset. They could probably be walking up to Fantasmic with about 10 mins to spare.

Still probably not do-able, but I'd like to see somebody try.

It would take longer to get to the F! seating than that.

Assuming the park was empty I could say 10-15 min is reasonable.. with a few thousand people all trying the same idea.. more like 25-30

Maybe I missed the point (sorry no native speaker) but as I remember Christmas last year, there MK was open several days around Christmas always open until 1 or 2(?) a.m. cause of (almost) daily EMH in the evenings. But at the moment there aren't such late-night EMHs for Christmas 2016 (neither in the other parks). Hope they change it until then... (Last year I got therefore a table at BOG at 12.15 a.m., only 40days before)
