Jimmy Neutron ride - 40" height requirement?

Some sites I had been using as a reference did not have a height requirement for Jimmy Neutron's Nicktoon Blast, and I could not remember seeing one listed at the official site, but this morning I saw 40" listed as the height requirement at the official site. Is this really the height requirement for this ride? I was hoping my son would get a chance to ride it in September, but 40" may be hoping for a lot of extra growth between now and then (he is at about 38" right now).

Yes, 40" is the height requirement, which is the same as BTTF and Spider-Man.

I belive it has the same stationary seats that the old hanna barberra show/ride did for under 40 in.

personally i don't even know why you need to discuss it, the ride is lame. They had a much better crowd for hanna barbara. Jimmy neutron is really bumpy and rough for absolutely no reason, it has a lame plot, and they don't show enough of the fun characters to make the kids happy. So what if I am 17, I still like a lot of things. I try not to think in a 17 year olds mind set. The boy would probably get a bigger kick out of the kid section near animal planet and et than that. Jimmy Neutron was a second attempt to get people back on that old virtual reality ride but it is a failure. Just when the US gates open, people run to shrek like crazy rather than Jimmy. If they allow, which I believe they do I see little kids all the time, your son to go on shrek, he would love seeing that. That is if he loves donkey, etc. There are some "scary" parts but the seats move and you get splashed on, I generally see kids coming out loving it and they get their picture taken with Shrek. Hope I could help.

It's not a lame ride, don't listen to the 17 year old. Kids love it, mine sure did! If they don't meet the 40", he can sit in the stationary seating up front. He'll love it!

I am trying to see what anyone could like about that ride. First of all what is there whole purpose of the ride, get back the space ship. Whoopde doo. Kids are interested in 1 thing, seeing their favorite cartoon characters. They focus more on catching that dumb ship when he has three back at his house. They don't show enough of the characters. If they did that more people would like it. I think they need to rehab it again. Jimmy is one of those rides that wa old to begin with and nothing has changed. Curious George is the place to be. He would find a kick out of that a lot more than standing in an hour line for a 1 minute attraction.

dogg, it really doesn't matter what you think. My kids are 4 and 8 and love Jimmy, Rugrats, Spongebob, all of the characters and they thought it was great. My dd laughed her butt off riding it and we rode it 3 times. It's not for a 17 year old to get, it's for preschoolers and elem. kids to get and mine did. There were plenty of people lined up for this ride, so I'm not worried about how people are liking the ride or not. My kids chose not to do Shrek a 2nd time, but wanted to do JN over and over. Everyone has a different opinion and guess what? That's ok!

Well what about hanna barbara. I think kids were into that more than jimmy. I just saw it on the kids faces. What do your kids like more, jimmy or curious george's area. I don't try to look at that ride from my opinion or from a 17 year old's opinion. I think hanna barbara had a more popular crowd. Ok if your kids love it I really am glad for them. I know my friend's cousin didn't like it and he is seven. You get more out of Curious George's area.

Why are you comparing a play area to a ride? Not the same thing. And the cartoons in JN are very now. It's what the kids are seeing on TV right now. Not Hanna Barbara. Scooby Doo is still on, but the rest my kids don't know. The ride is for kids. You are not seeing it from a kid view at all. The one 7 year old you talk about may not watch the Nick channel at all, my kids love it. This really is stupid. Just because you didn't like it, doesn't mean others can't. And don't give me that, I'm trying to understand thing again. You very much are coming across like a teenager. I'm not posting on this anymore. Some kids, alot of kids, will like this ride because those cartoons are on tv right now. You don't like it, fine, don't ride it. No biggie. End of subject for me.

Ok you know I think you are looking at this ride through your kids. Your kids like it so everyone likes it. I am not going to say anything more about this ride, I just feel kids loved hanna barbara more. Yes Jimmy Neutron is "in" with the new, but kids want to see a full ride of their favorite characters, not bits and pieces. Hey if I am wrong, oh boy whoopty doo, this is a thread I am replying to, take it as you wish. If someone comes down for a day at universal, what should you do Jimmy or Curious george. That is how I am comparing it. It is the same amount of time. only difference, why your kids wait impatiently in line for a jimmy neutron 1 minute ride with bits and pieces of their favorite cartoon characters, they could be riding woody woodpeckers roller coaster, play with the balls in the playground, play in the water. You can get more out of it, that is all I am saying. Geese chill out I am just trying to compare apples with apples. How much more can your children get out of the day at Curious George compared to Jimmy.

My son would probably have enjoyed the old Hanna Barbera ride as well. We sometimes watch the old cartoons on Boomerang, but he loves that stuff whether he knows the characters or not. He does know those Nickelodeon characters, and just one sight of Spongebob will probably make it all worthwhile to him.

If we were going to ride it, we would probably do it first of all, and then check out the other kid stuff. I have no reason to suspect that he would not enjoy them all.

As far as the stationary seats go, would my wife and I, or at least one of us, be able to sit up there with him?

Sure you can. When we went (when it was still Hanna Barberra) DH sat with DD while I sat in the regular seating with DS. Unless they've changed the stationary seating is the front row, a little too close IMPO, but better than not going at all.

What teckneek is trying to get at is kids like any cartoon character that walks. Somehow spongebob they know better and they go crazy, but kids will like any ride with cartoon characters. So why don't they actually put a ride that everyone could enjoy.

How DARE YOU try to put words into someone's mouth! Tekneek can answer this for himself, but, being 17 years old and not having any small ones around to watch Nickelodeon with, you wouldn't get Jimmy Neturon. You don't know the characters, so you put the entire ride down because in your words, "it's not a ride that everyone will like."

I think you mean that you, the 17 year old would like. Well, people have KIDS, KIDS watch Jimmy and he deserves a ride. You don't know the number of kids who asked -"Who are the Jetsons?" when it came to Hanna.

Thank you Notatourist!! Kids don't just like "any" cartoons and certainly not all cartoons either! Duh! My kids don't like The Wild Thornberry's for instance. But they both love Jimmy!

You know what I still can't understand is why you keep going crazy about my age. This has absolutely nothing to do with the subject. I do happen to know what Jimmy is, I saw the dang movie. I like technology so I felt compelled to watch it. Who is assuming now. Here you go off thinking I wouldn't know the first thing about any of this. Why would I be discussing this if I didn't even see the **** thing. Not to mention I think I can recall just a few years back when I was a kid. Yes I knew what was the difference between one cartoon to the other. I am not talking about when I was 5 or under. You most likely see kids who are very very young that are clapping happy because they saw a cartoon on the screen. Of course most kids wouldn't know the jetsons, that is how Universal appealed to everyone, 7 or 8+ people liked seeing the Jetson's so thank you for proving my point. That is like asking a child do you know the simpsons. Sure the simpsons are cartoon characters, but they weren't meant for youngsters. Jetson's is more complicated for children. Wait maybe I shouldn't put that last sentence because someone might attack me on it saying I am "17." Since when does age have anything to do with watching something on tv. First of all I have cousin's, relatives, etc. so I wasn't born yesterday with these shows. I happen to know kids love these cartoon characters. If kids understood the cartoon characters and everything, then they should understand the plot of this ride (which there isn't one) if that is what you are trying to say. I said early on in this hell hole of threads that I am not thinking in the mind of a 17 year old, but obviously you didn't read that thread because you keep attacking me on that plus it isn't true. If you want to get off this whole attraction, I think they should have just made a sponge bob square pants ride and bang the subject has ended. I am saying the ride is nothing, the kids would get a bigger kick out a different attraction, that is my opinion and no matter what I say someone will have a come back for this.
