Jiminy Cricket

I really need some help here, we are going down in June, and we really want to see Jiminy this time, I know that people say he is rare, however in doing a search on the internet, it seems more people have run into him, so I am just wondering how many of you have seen him, what park, what time of day and waht time of year. It seems a lot of the photos I see of people with him, it looks like they are in Epcot somewhere and like no one is around.
Also how is the character hotline, could I have someone call that each day to see if he will be out at a certain park? Just curiuos.
All help is greatly appreciated, more then you'll ever know. This would be a dream come true.

We saw him at Epcot in Italy. We were back by the fountains. My DH had to have a picture with him. We did have him to our self for 10 min or so. This was in June around the first full week. We think this was in 2001.

We saw him at Epcot in April 2004 during the F&G festival. He was on the between FW and WS. He is very small (maybe why he is a rareity) Small tights to fill and all. Good luck. Now that I think about it, it was Earth Day and I know he is Disney's symbol for Earth Day.

Thank you for all this great information, if anyone else has any stories of their incounters with Jiminy, I would love to hear them. Also what is your experience with the character hotline, is it best to go to a park and then ask at Guest Relations and have them call to see if he will be at a park that day? Just curious. We love Jiminy and would love to meet this little fellow.

We saw him at Epcot last July. We were by the big fountain in front of Space Ship Earth. Good Luck. Our main goal next trip is Daisey!

I looked for him for years (and I'm not kidding about the time!). We FINALLY saw him last April. It was Sunday of Earth Day weekend. He was behind Space Ship Earth near the fountain. I about broke down and cried I was so excited I went from being 38 to 4 in about as many seconds. Good luck and let us know if you encounter him!!

Jiminy has been known at Rafiki's Planet Watch at AK on Earth Day ... no guarantees, but he was there last year

My family has seen Jiminy twice, both times at MGM Studios across from the big hat. Once we got a picture, the second time I noticed they had shut the line down. The first time was in October of 2004 and the second time was in January of this year. Both times, he was standing there with other characters, all with separate lines. I remember being surprised that first time that his line was much shorter than Stitch who was standing next to him. I knew from my many visits to Disneyland (where I had never seen him) he was a rarity! Definitely ask at both MGM and Epcot each day you are there, since most of the time I see this question posted and then answered those are the two parks mentioned. I would also do a search here on disboards to see other threads regarding him. I hope you get to see him!

When we were there in Sept. he was part of the group of characters that rides on the big red double decker bus in Epcot. We got his autograph and picture when he got off.....around spaceship earth

We saw him in August at one of the countries in the back of the World Showcase. Maybe Germany, can't remember.

I seen Jiminy only one time, at Epcot during the Flower and Garden Festival. This was back on a Sunday in May 2003, and I never seen him since! We always keep our eyes open, too! He was on the Big Red Bus, which is gone now.

To the OP: You are going in June. Any chance you are going the 1st weekend in June? There is a "Bugs Weekend" event at Epcot I think on June 3-4th, and there is a possibility that Jiminy may be there. Nothing is guarenteed, though, and he may not show up at all. But he is a bug, and that weekend does celebrate bugs, so it would make sense! I think he was out greeting there last year. Not exactly sure where at Epcot these characters would be, though!

No matter what, finding Jiminy takes luck!!! Epcot seems to be the place he appears at the most. Now with the Epcot Holiday Bus gone, it's hard to say where would be the best place to look. Good luck in finding your favorite character!

I didn't think there was a Jiminy Cricket character for the meet and greet. Just like there isn't one for Tinkerbell.

I sure hope we can see him on our next trip. He is so cute!
